- BerkeleyArmsBosham00Wonderful experience! We rented an e bike and e scooter from Bike Rent NYC 3 times during our stay and it was so much fun! Me and my 12 year old had never used either before but even with limited English, it was easy to understand the staff telling us how to use them. We asked for a helmet and were shown where they were so we could choose one ourselves. Let's get to going round Central Park, we had such a good time, hence why we did it 3 times. You have to be very aware of the other park users, particularly speeding up behind but even as non cyclists we had no problems. I would highly recommend electrics as there are a couple of hilly bits. Finally, the young lady on the reception was so friendly and helpful she really deserves a special mention.
- Rita N00Zipping Thru Central ParkZipping through Central Park on an EBike was so much fun! We saw the whole park. Michael was the best guide! We highly recommend it!
- G1337XYpatriciar00Great time despite the rain! Our guide Phillip was great. It was pouring rain but he had a good attitude and was personable and knowledgable. Covered alll the high points of the park, gave us time to take photos and explore. The electric bikes worked well! It was fun to try them out and helped grandma keep up without getting exhausted!!
- J991LDericp00Love Biking Central Park -- Rent Somewhere ElseThe employees didn’t understand English well. We were supposed to get a helmet but none were provided or offered. Rented an E-Bike and got zero instructions... glad we have some back home. Asked for instructions but workers didn’t understand me. Ask where to go to enter the park, zero help just a hand pointing towards 7th Ave. Biking in Central Park is awesome and so much fun... I would highly recommend doing it, but rent somewhere else (there are so many options close by). We rented for 2 hours and went around Central Park 2.5 times and saw a ton. The only other thing to add it the E-Bikes we rented were average and didn't have a ton of acceleration.
- Q6107NQjoeb00Morning tour of Central parkVery enjoyable, relaxing and interesting tour of Central Park. Chris was a very nice knowledgeable tour guide and would highly recommend this tour. Joseph
- WallaceGang00Fun & efficient way to see Central ParkScooter is a great way to see the park. You can cover so much more ground than on foot. Our tour included both bikes & scooters, so take your pick. Tour guide was great. We saw lots of notable highlights. Very enjoyable!
- Carol N00Very disappointing! As it was POURING rain, we did not go. I tried to contact the bike store several times starting at 7:00am to no avail. When I finally got through at 10 am, they said it wasn’t cancelled and our guide was waiting for us! An e-bike ride in the pouring rain??? They said there would be no refund but offered a credit. We won’t be back to NYC, so it is a worthless credit. Very disappointed in that response!
- Venture2269127398400Great day in Central Park! One of the most fun tours we have done in NYC! It was a larger group navigating a bit of a crowded day. I probably would have preferred more stops that were shorter, but our guide was very nice and all had a great time
- Laurie S00Worst Customer ServiceThe employees weren’t helpful and didn’t understand English well. We were supposed to get a helmet but none were provided. Rented an E-Bike for the first time. Asked for instructions but workers didn’t understand me. Tour guide was 15 minutes late. Terrible experience. Do not recommend.
- StOzvaldo100Wouldn’t recommendDisappointing experience. Got off to a bad start when poorly greeted by the guy that met us at the desk/till, he seemed quite unfriendly, uninterested & generally unhelpful. My electric bike appeared to be faulty, which only became apparent when I asked for brief instructions (having never used an electric bike before). We weren’t offered the helmets, locks or maps that were supposed to come with our booking and had to ask for the same. We never got the locks, which meant we couldn’t park up and leave the bikes in Central Park. Only plus was the business is very close to Central Park. Wouldn’t recommend! Also, it wasn’t clear when booking, but the bikes aren’t allowed to be ridden anywhere aside from the perimeter road of Central Park. Had I known that I’d have booked for a much shorter time slot. 1.5 hrs more than sufficient if just wanting to ride the perimeter of the park. Central Park was also a little disappointing, not very well kept up and lots of litter. Not a patch on London parks.
- Happydcs00My first time riding a scooter, and it was easy as pieFour of us took the tour through Central Park, I was the only one to choose a scooter, and it was so easy. Everyone else was exhausted from trying to figure out the gears on the electric bikes, I highly recommend the scooters as way, more fun and easy, and since I had a knee injury, it was perfect!
- V9855IEkimt00Scoot through the parkThe scooter tour was fun and informative. Our guide, Phillip was fun and personable. I highly recommend the scooter tour!
- AndyTuba00Great ride!We had a great time on the tour. Phillip is an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and personable. The electric bikes were great for us senior citizens, especially as it was 94 degrees. Highly recommend!
- Kristi C00Not GreatI’ve done several bike tours in different cities, and this was the worst one so far. Upon arrival to the shop, the workers acted like they didn’t have a reservation for us. Then, when we showed them our confirmation showing a reservation for four people on electric bikes, they promptly brought out 4 non-electric bikes. We again showed them our reservation, and they finally brought us electric bikes. However, as we were riding away with the tour group, one of the workers acted like we were stealing the bikes and we again had to show our reservation. Once the tour began, it was fine but nothing spectacular. The sights were interesting and our tour guide gave good information, but it seemed very automated without much interaction with the tour participants. Honestly, I think we could have done just as well if we’d rented the Citibikes and used a map to do our own tour. Oh, also be aware that the bicycles on this tour don’t have baskets, so there’s nowhere to put your stuff. It wasn’t a huge deal, but it was an inconvenience.
- Married-to-Chengdu00Bike NYC Electric Tour is the place to be!Tour guide, Phillip, was very knowledgeable about NYC history and also very funny. He gave us ample time to meander and post pics to social media. Loved the electric scooter. Otherwise, could not see entire park in 2 hours. Highly recommended!

Central Park was fine, big yes but nothing exceptional. What was disappointing was the attitude of our guide. We were a fairly large group with varying ages and levels of fitness. The guide rode up front with the fittest of the group and stopped with regular stages. Unfortunately, his limited descriptions of the history and layout of the park were mainly delivered before half the party had caught up. Take our advice, there are good maps and plenty of history available and for about half the cost you’d be better hiring the bikes and making your own way.

Our guide Chris was just the right amount of informative but not overbearing. He was warm, welcoming and seemed interested in everyone in our group of 7 visitors from the US and Europe. Central Park in Autumn is absolutely beautiful! The biking itself was strenuous at times, there are some long inclines that don't look like much, but your legs definitely feel them. If you don't normally bike longer distances, consider a powered bike vs a regular bike. The tour itself was informative and gave a short history of the park at the beginning, but the best part was to have a guide who knew where he was going so you can just relax and follow, while looking around at the amazing trees, plants, people and of course the New York City skyline in different areas of the park. After the tour, walk around some more and just enjoy this world class public space, my adult daughter and I loved seeing all the different breeds at the dog park, playing in the sunshine. New York in the fall is stellar!

Excellent! My guide not only knew all the history of Central Park, he was able to tell of other parks in the nation and world with similarities. There was plenty of time to get off the bike and wonder the trails a bit. I was also introduced to the woods of Central Park which is mainly only used by the locals; it is important to me to be immersed and this “fit the bill”

The bike tour was really nice and my family had a good time, however, we rented regular bikes and others had electric bikes and scooters so it was very hard to keep up. Had I known the tour was going to have both electric and regular bikes, I would have chosen the electric version. The electric bikes and scooters are MUCH more expensive though. We missed a lot of the tour guide's talking because we were at the back of the pack. We saw a lot of Central Park but also felt like we missed a lot of key places like the castle and zoo. I had hoped there would be more stops and sightseeing. Our guide Phillip was knowledgeable and friendly but the staff at the bike shop where the bikes are picked up were less than helpful and very cold. Central Park has more hills than you think so it is not an easy ride! Go electric, bring lots of water, and wear shorts!

We read through the reviews in advance and heeded advice to keep up with our tour guide Chris to hear all of his commentary. Note that we are avid cyclists but even with a group of 14 everyone was able to stay together. Chris provided interesting facts about the history of the park, notable areas, familiar movie settings, park events and activities, etc. It was a picture perfect day and very fun experience for our first visit to Central Park!

We had SUCH a great time! Our party consisted of two adults and two children (aged 12 and 16). Edward our guide was brilliant - he gave us enough information so it was interesting, but not too much that it became overwhelming and the pace was just right for us. We were lucky enough to have amazingly great weather for Feb so with the sun shining we whizzed around the paths, surround by the iconic buildings and scenery. It was a wonderful experience. My husband and I had used this tour company before on a previous visit and I am pleased to say second time round it was just as good! It is a memory we will treasure during our time in NYC. I would recommend that you take a bottle of water with you as groups size depending, you may find an opportunity to stop difficult, also remember your camera/ phone for various stops where you can take pictures along the route, and def wear comfortable shoes.

Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teen girls) did the Central Park Guided bike tour on a sunny Easter Sunday morning 2022. We collected our bikes and helmets at 58th street and were introduced to Edward, our fantastic tour guide. He instantly made us feel very welcome and took a genuine interest in where we were from (Ireland) and chatted to the kids. We were taken safely over to Central Park where we had a fascinating 2 hour guided tour. Edward was very interesting and informative about the history of all areas of the park. He gave us time to explore different parts of the park on foot, whilst he looked after the bikes. He helped us with photographs and kept us safe throughout. We would highly recommend this tour.

Very disappointed!
My daughter and I paid £75 each for a two hour guided tour of Central Park.
The tour guide had 19 people.
Within the first ten minutes, myself and three other people lost the group.
I tried tried to catch up with the group, but couldn’t.
I never found the group the whole of the two hours, and had to navigate my way around Central Park on my own.
My daughter managed to stay with the group, thankfully. The guide told me to just make my way back to the shop, as I would never be able to find them!!
When I returned my bike to the shop, my daughter informed me only 11 people managed to stay with the group.
The guide was not happy, saying it had happened before, too many bookings on a weekend when the park is at its busiest!

We had a fantastic time on our tour with our guide Ed (Edward). He was knowledgeable about the park, it’s history, and plenty of additional topics about the city and other parks across the globe. In 2 hours we saw so much and the price was great too! Highly recommend.

Being keen cyclists, my daughter was a little sceptical about signing up to a guided tour of Central Park. Our guide Edward, was not only interesting, funny and full of unusual facts about the area, he was extremely passionate about New York having lived there most of his life. We had four teenages on the tour and he even kept their attention, which can be hard at times.
I would highly recommend these tours as there is so much to see and learn about the history of the park and surrounding areas, which you could easily miss if you were cycling the park on your own.

Hi there - we have a four year old. He's pretty good on a bike on his own. Do you have bikes that small?

As I recall, we traveled a short distance from the bike shop to the park and back to the shop as well. It was all on bike lanes with our guide leading us and there was no heavy or difficult traffic. We never felt unsafe. Once in the park, there are no traffic issues. It was a fantastic tour. Our guide was excellent. We learned allot about the park and the buildings surrounding it.
