I had the best time on this tour because our guide, Judy, knew all about the history of places we visited in the San Diego and La Jolla areas. We were told about all the facts and interesting backgrounds of all the places we visited. For instance, Balboa Park has a rich past and present that Judy told us all about. She was full of knowledge about the most tiny details associated with areas we visited.

I felt very safe during my tour. And I was picked up at my hotel right on the designated time; no waiting around.

The tour was packed with all the highlights of this area and was a great trip for the money. There's no way a person could have covered all this ground on their own. Judy knew this region like the back of her hand.

When I'm the San Diego area again I will take another tour with this company. I recommend them if you want to experience the city with all the highlights.

I also had a fantastic experience when I used Another Side Of for a tour of Los Angeles some time ago.

Judy's knowledge of the city's history and culture is impressive. She is an amazing guide, who loves giving unique and individualized tours based on each guest. We are so happy to hear you enjoyed The San Diego Highlights Tour, as well as one of our Los Angeles tours in the past. We look forward to hosting you soon on "Another" tour in San Diego, Los Angeles or Las Vegas.

A quiet time of year gave us the opportunity to have a private electric bike tour with Jeff Wyngaert. Included the Gaslamp area, ‘boardwalk’ and Seaport Village, plus Balboa Park.
Jeff was good-humoured, informative and engaging.

In the past 5 years I have been touring places in the United States and Europe. I always take tours to learn the history, architecture, and interesting facts. This tour was definitely the best tour I ever took. Because of the limited number of people, the tour can be tailored to fit your interests. Jeff, our guide, taught us so much about everything we saw. I am amazed at the knowledge I now have and I appreciate everything we saw so much more because of it. I highly recommend this tour!

My friend and I spontaneously decided to go on a bike tour of San Diego and had such a good time. Kenny, our tour guide was amazing. The tour was entertaining and we really felt like we got to know another side of San Diego. Highly recommend this company. You won’t regret it!

My husband and I did the San Diego highlights 7 hour van tour. It ended up just being us and one other lady on the tour, so it was basically a private tour. Our guide was very nice and super informative about the history of the town and all the places we visited. I felt like we got a great overview of the city and really did hit the highlights. It would be great to do as the first item on one’s itinerary on a trip to San Diego so you could really decide where to re-visit with additional time.

We drove down the embarcadero area and made a stop in front of the USS Midway near the WWII kissing statute. We had a fun time reenacting the statute pose for a photo and briefly exploring the area. We were able to see the ships and even learned about the different boats visible at the Maritime Museum.

We drove across the bridge to Coronado Island and got a nice tour of the area and neat housing architecture. We stopped at one beach to get an awesome skyline view on the City across the Bay. Then we stopped at Hotel Del Coronado for about 30 minutes to explore the property, shops and the beach.

Next, we went to Balboa Park and were given an overview of the area and museums. We had another 30 minutes here to explore the Botanical gardens and anywhere else we could reach in that time span. We went to an area with a bunch of shops with goods from local artists and had a fun time shopping and seeing a few of the sights. You could easily spend a whole day here alone!

For lunch, we were dropped off in the Gaslamp district and given recommendations for a number of places to enjoy. We chose a place that has classic Chicago style pizza and we had time to do a wine tasting at Callaway Winery Wine Bar. It was a lot of fun, and the wines were excellent.

After lunch, we headed to the La Jolla area. We saw a lot of multi-million dollar properties and played the price is right in guessing how much some of the mansions were worth. We stopped at Mount Soledad Veteran’s’ Memorial, which is on a hill overlooking all of San Diego and La Jolla, for some photos.

We then went to La Jolla Cove (I believe), which was a beachy, rocky area where you can walk right up to a bunch of sunbathing seals. We were able to take photos and enjoy their company for a few minutes.

Lastly, we went to Crystal Pier and were able to walk along the pier to take some photos of the ocean and surrounding areas.

We had a great day and would recommend the tour to anyone visiting San Diego.

We wanted a tour that included San Diego, Coronado and La Jolla - this tour fit the bill and more. Rob was pleasant, professional, and very knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed the format and pace of this tour. With multiple stops of varying lengths and plenty of photo ops, along with a few surprises, Rob keeps things moving by telling the history of San Diego and its development through interesting stories. His laid back nature will put you at ease. We highly recommend Rob and this tour. We had a blast!!

I was in San Diego for a conference, booked a tour at the last minute and was so glad I was able to be included in a previously scheduled private Highlights Tour. Tour guide Jeff took myself and another couple on a 4 hour tour of Coronado, Balboa Park and La Jolla. Jeff was informative about history, current events, local economy, sites, and recommendations for things to do on our own in San Diego. He also took great photos. I had been to San Diego years ago. The tour brought a lot of the city and my memories into focus. I highly recommend Jeff and this tour company. A 4 hour tour was the right amount of time for me.

Our driver Rob was brilliant. He was knowledgeable, spoke clearly and happily answered any questions we threw his way. In the morning we were the only couple in the van with him. Around the city, over the Coronado bridge, the naval base area, and the highlight for me was visiting the luxurious Hotel Del Coronado and its beautiful grounds, plus time at Balboa Park. After lunch we were joined by another couple and we went up to the NW and the beach area. Great value and a great time.
