- M581PEclaudiof0 contributionsAn exceptional professor guiding us. Thank you!Simply put, if I could give 6 stars I would. The following day we went on another tour in Boston, and we could appreciate the quality difference. Our Beacon Hill Crime guide's presentation skills were exemplary. The guide’s independent research into the details of the crimes made the experience truly unique. Bravo. Truly exceptional level and by far the best Boston experience we made over those 4 days.Written 11 March 2025
- brandonlI1241TN0 contributionsA fantastic experienceWe had a fantastic tour and wonderful tour guide for our true crime experience. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and was a marvelous storyteller.Written 8 March 2025
- Z2016GMdebram0 contributionsHorrible, overpricedWe walked around the city and were told about a couple of food establishments. How is that worth $75? And we already had a go city pass, so we should have been told this was included. It wasn't listed on the all-city website as one of the attractions. I was told when I purchased it that I was asked about it. I had no idea at the time. And I asked for a refund, and I was told rudely that it was my own fault.Written 7 March 2025

- D2294TLkellyb0 contributionsTour Scam! They don’t honor your go city passesTerrible experience. They took my go city Boston passes and still charged my credit card full price for the tour. When contacted they said it was my error for double booking which I never did and was told by tour guide their system had an error just let back office refund me. They lied, stole my money, and provided a boring overpriced tour. Company is a complete scam!Written 29 January 2025

We had a great time visiting Boston's North end with Cady! She was fun and knowledgeable. Thanks Cady!!
Only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that group was too big (25 people) so this made for long line-ups at the restaurants we visited. Cash-only option was also annoying, but that is not the tour's fault.
Suggestion: make arrangements for bite-sized tastings included in the price of the tour and then we can choose to go buy the full portions of things we liked.

During our first visit to Boston, we managed to do a lot in our three-day stay in this gorgeous city. However, the highlight without question was the two-hour North End "Little Italy" walking tour led by our guide, Tony. His captivating and knowledgeable insights into Boston's history and local food scene was amazing. Tony took us to fantastic locations, entertained us with fascinating history, and his rendition of the opening lines to the Beastie Boys' Paul Revere by the Paul Revere statue was definitely something I really appreactied and will never forget. This outstanding tour is something I would readily recommend, and my family and I would undoubtedly sign up for it again.

Cady was an exceptional guide. She paid attention to the needs of the group(dietary restrictions, walking distance etc) and provided detailed information about the neighborhood in an entertaining way. Highly enjoyed Umbertos pizza and modern pastry. Could do without mikes pastry though.

Excellent 2 hour tour by host Clare around Soho, Little Italy and Chinatown. Myself and my wife were the only clients that morning and I guess the firm could have cancelled the tour but didn't. Which meant we had a more personalised and interactive tour than envisaged. Clare was engaging and showed great knowledge of the area and its history. Highly recommended. As a foot note... when visiting Chinatown, don't be tempted to buy the cut priced, white boxed labeled Apple electronics being sold on mass by the street vendors. They're all fake. Don't waste your hard earned dollars. Spend them on this tour instead

The tour was good. The rating is more for the top dog tours user experience with booking. It was easy to make a mistake and book for regular pass and they have a separate option for go city. I've never had to do something like that before so they charged me for the tour even though they scanned my passes. Im guessing they rely on people with go passes to make that mistake so they get more profit. Its in their policy that they won't return the money if you make the mistake.
Be careful booking when you have the city pass.

Our guide, Cady, was very personable and informative and led the group well in a busy neighborhood. She had an excellent grasp of the history of the development of the North End and the historical site. Cady was very patient with the group's questions and offered plenty of recommendations for places not on the tour. While the bakeries were excellent, I would have liked to see more variety on the tour for tasting options like different pastas with different sauces.

I recently took the North End "Little Italy" Walking Tour with TopDog Tours and really enjoyed the experience. Our tour guide, Spencer, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He took us to some amazing restaurants that we would not have known about had it not been for him. Spencer also shared a lot of interesting historical facts about the North End, which made the tour even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who loves great food and interesting history.

We had an amazing time on the North End "Little Italy" walking tour with Tony. He was knowledgeable, entertaining, and engaging, sharing the history of the neighborhood, as well as local legends and personal anecdotes. He introduced us to several amazing restaurants/bakeries in the neighborhood where we tried pizza, cannoli, and more! We've been on numerous food tours throughout the US and this was the best one we've been on. Thank you Tony for a great afternoon! We really can't recommend this tour more.

Echoing previous posters, Tony was an excellent guide. We enjoyed despite the cold, rainy late-March weather. He was also happy to repeat one of his stories at the end of the tour so I could take a video of it.

The tour was very informative and our guide did a great job at blending history and food recommendations. She was friendly and welcoming. We went on it with a little one in a stroller. There were 4 food stops (3 bakeries and pizza/gelato) and five or so story/ history stops. The first food stop was not stroller friendly, but they had a cute courtyard we could wait in while the others went down.
