Perfect local day tour for getting away but staying close to home (Boston). Matt, our mainland tour guide, was very knowledgeable about the area and its history. He was very kind and helpful. He showed us where we could grab breakfast when we got to the port. Mark, our driver on the island, was kind and comical. He is a resident of the island and made it enjoyable.

Was not what I expected. Had to go to a different port to dock so not much to see in the area. Normal costal town nothing special

This was a great way to see and learn about Salem. No stress about where to park, getting tickets or where to find things! Matt was knowledgeable, kept us on schedule and filled us with lots of fun tidbits about Salem!

Fantastic day at Martha’s Vineyard, Very surreal experience, RORY our driver to Cape Cod and Falmouth was brilliant, what a nice genuine guy brilliant and very knowledgeable about all the areas.. Best guide we have ever had on any tour we have done,,, Martha’s Vineyard is absolutely beautiful, Lovely friendly people and the Gingerbread houses are stunning…. The trip was great and highly recommended however maybe worthwhile contacting the tour operator the day before as he had no record of our trip advisor booking and would have been left behind without a last minute phone call. Matt was very informative and we had plenty time to enjoy each stop, Stunning scenery all along the way.

Matt was great, knowledgeable and fun. The trolly tour was great and a good way to see the town. The salem witch museum was just ok and maybe not the best for small children. House of seven gables was excellent. I do wish we had more time to shop and walk around on our own.

Matt did a great job getting our group from spot to spot. He had a lot of knowledge about Boston and Salem. The trolley tour, Witch Museum and House of Seven Gables were great. I honestly enjoyed the house of seven Gables more than I thought I would. Only complaint was that the seats on the trolley were way too small.

Matt did a great job he told our itinerary and stuck to and when there was a change he communicated it. He also has great suggestions for place to eat wether it be in Salem or in Boston.

Rory was a great tour guide, and I'm so glad we went with him! He was very knowledgeable of the entire New England area, and his delivery was very personable and friendly! Also loved that he came to us and picked up at our Motel!

We highly recommend the Martha's Vineyard Day Trip and Island tour from Boston. We had a wonderful and interesting experience with our two excellent guides, Rory and Sue.

The tour had great tidbits of information and the drivers were quite knowledgeable about the history. It was a bit rushed so an extra 30 minutes on the driving tour would have been good

Booked this tour 3 weeks prior. Tour was cancelled afternoon before tour day. Waiting for refund. Ended up having to get to Salem on my own.

Generally, it was an enjoyable excursion. The tour operator did a good job of communicating where to be when. Pick up at the hotel was very convenient. Matt was a good guide; knowledgeable and funny. He kept us entertained and engaged for the 90 minutes it took to get to the Woods Hole ferry. The ferry was slow and a bit confusing if you’ve never been on it. You board on one side and disembark on the opposite side, which was a problem when we sat on the wrong side and large groups of slow moving people were between us and the exit. The tour operator on Martha’s Vineyard did a good job communicating where to meet up after getting off the ferry; although some were looking for a sign and didn’t check their phones for a message from the guide. Jim was a very knowledgeable guide, but gave a lot of minute details that caused me to fade in and out. So I didn’t catch a lot of what he said. He clearly knows a lot about Martha’s Vineyard and he did a good job getting us around the island. We stopped for a few minutes at a couple of spots, but spent most of the time riding in a van. We were disappointed to learn after the fact that John Belushi is buried on the island and we drove right by his grave, but Jim made no mention of it. Or maybe he did and I just faded out during that part. Martha’s Vineyard was not what I expected and it was very crowded in spots. The beaches were narrow and there were no waves. The coastal views were nice but we spent a fair amount of time driving across the island so we didn’t get a lot of those coastal views. I didn’t really see the appeal of Martha’s Vineyard. It was okay, but i don’t have any desire to go back. The return trip back to Boston was good. Matt did his best to make it as comfortable as possible. There was a huge traffic jam that he was able to avoid, which was much appreciated after a long day of riding around in cramped vans. Matt had tons of restaurant recommendations for downtown Boston and that was a huge help. I would certainly consider New England Excursions in the future but I wouldn’t go back to Martha’s Vineyard; unless I happened to be in or around Cape Cod and had nothing better to do that day 😉.

Guide was great. We had plenty of time to see the sites and have an awesome lunch and shop without having to rush. A lot of history was given.
