Ben was personable, knowledgeable, lighthearted, and made our experience exactly what we needed it to be. Should I have the chance to enjoy another raft trip in Moab, I am certain I want Ben as my guide.Written 23 October 2024

Our guide, Dean was very knowledgeable about the area, pointing out movie locations and birds; bald eagle, great blue heron. He even pointed out a nice area to jump in and float alongside the boat. Lots of fun.Written 17 October 2024

Darren shared info along the way on the rock art, current and past uses, and names for sites, and also nicely helped with photos. Definitely recommend! (If you are bad with heights or dropoffs ask for a more mild route...I could see how the route may bother some.)Written 17 October 2024

- austinbZ7129MR0 contributionsGreat jeep tour with an awesome guide Sean. This tour was awesome. Exactly what we were looking for as a family that wanted an off-roading adventure with an interpretive talk. Our guide Sean was awesome, super knowledgeable and kind, not a know-it-all which was refreshing. We did onion creek which was the perfect amount of off roading for us, not too big a technical but still a blast. We crossed several water crossings as high speed which was a blast. We stopped 3 times along the way and Sean gave us a ton of knowledge about the area. I was very impressed.Written 2 October 2024

While we had some issues with booking, in the end Grace straitened everything out and we had a fabulous trip with Ben as our river guide. He imparted lots of info and was able to easily turn our raft to see wildlife ( including a bald eagle nest where two yearlings were sitting side x side on a log near the nest) and rock formations and anything that was important to see. Worth the trip, now thinking we could have done the full day. Drawbacks: meet at 8:30. Did not get on the the river until 10:15. Not a problem about driving to the input point, but could have met at 7:30 and been on the river more than 1 & 1/2 hours. That being said, river was moving, the rapids ( up to 2 1/2 rating according to our guide) were fun and Ben prepared & guided us safely through without mishap. We would recommend this trip, even for your kids 8 or older. We had two young kids in our boat with their dad and the 2 of us who are over 68. Ben was great and interacted with us all, as well as keeping track of the other rafts in our group. Great trip! Kudos to Benđź‘Ťđź‘Ź

Both Gavin and Ashley were personable and extremely well-informed and entertaining. Having Ashley as our boat guide was like listening to a teacher who is really passionate about her subject matter. Her explanation of the area’s history and geology truly made the trip.

We had an excellent time. We are a family of 10, for adults, six kids ages ranging 6 to 16. Many of us had raft it before, some had not. Check in experience was easy. In addition to water, snacks, and sunscreen, you might consider waterproof cameras or phones with a leash or strap so you don’t lose it, as well straps for any sunglasses. Also, we ended up renting some water squirter’s, but I’m pretty sure you could bring your own. Water height and flow was a little slow because of limited snowmelt in spring, but the adventure was fine and the scenery was beautiful. So many elements of nature and natural formations. Our guide was Kima, but all the guides seem to be fun, interactive, and played off each other without denigrating the clients at anytime. No issues whatsoever making the reservation, getting it changed, or for support prior to the trip. Signing in your online waivers will save you time. The trip had us wanting more, I think we could’ve easily done a full day trip.

My wife and I plus our 4 kids went on a mild rafting tour, and it was simply an outstanding experience. We all had a chance to get in the water during the ride, and a few of us had a turn at rowing the raft from the Guide position.
We were unbelievably fortunate to have Kaitlin as our Guide. She really went out of her way to make sure we all got the most out of our adventure. We can't recommend her enough.
From check-in to check-out, every person we encountered on the staff was top notch. If you are in Moab, make some time to do one of their rafting adventures. You will not be disappointed.

Our family of all ages had a great time with Guide Luis in Moab! Given it was August, our expectations were mostly set around a relaxing float and enjoying the beautiful scenery, but we were unexpectedly surprised by several class II rapids. Guide Luis made it especially fun by ensuring we hit the rapids just right to get a nice soak and even set us up just right to sneak splash our fellow floaters on a nearby boat. :). It was a great time!

Been meaning to write a review since our last month trip with them but keep forgetting. Without further delay, here is my 5+ star rating review for these guys/gals.
We toured with them on April 6th and we did their morning tour (8:30am). This place was very close to the hotel we were staying. All the guests were transported to the rafting site in a bus but we got lucky to be in a van that had all the awesome staff(guides). Zeak(I hope the spelling is right) she was so awesome talking about the history and giving us info about all the landmarks during our drive. She spoke how she loved rock climbing etc and my girls were in awe and said they want to be like her :D
Once there, our guide was Trey (or like my kids called him Mr.Trey) we were a group of 8 people (2 families, with 4 kids). Trey made sure that the kids had a blast. My 5year old and my friends 7year old rowed the whole 2.5hrs and my younger one still talks and thinks that it was her who made the raft go in circles lol. My 10yr daughter is very adventures and Trey made sure she got that by going on a so called rough patch and making all these fun moves with the raft, going close to the rocks etc. Trey went above and beyond to make sure that the kids in our group had a blast. These 4 kids kept thinking they are compete with the others (well, that was the only way to for them to forget it was windy and cold) kept thinking it was them rowing so fast the whole time and leading the pack lol :D Since we came back home in California, they have been asking to look for more rafting trips. I want to just say THANK YOU SO MUCH for making our trip so memorable. It has been a month the kids still talk about all of you. You guys are awesome!!!

We did two trips with Mild to Wild during our stay in Moab: the morning half day rafting, and the morning half day jeep tour.
Rafting — For our family of four, including 8yo and almost 5yo, this was a perfect morning in the Moab area. Safety orientation is efficient but thorough, bus drive is super scenic, and the rafting itself was so beautiful. Our guide Roni was wonderful, with lots of great information about the river and surrounding canyon. She was also clearly very skilled at rafting and felt us feel very safe on the river despite lowering water levels revealing more obstacles. Highly recommend this trip!
Jeep tour — this was also a blast, and our guide Spencer was a really skilled driver as well as full of tons of interesting facts about the area we were driving through. Such a different view of the area compared to the rafting trip the day before. A definite highlight (apart from the many bumps which our kids loved) was having time to explore some wind eroded caves at the far end of our ride. One thing I might suggest would be to save one of the stops on the way out to do on the way back, just so there’s a brief break from the long bumpy ride back, but that’s a minor suggestion for improving a wonderful experience.
The whole operation felt really professional and fun, with a clear focus on continuous improvement as well as really investing in the training of their guides.

Thank you so much for your detailed review! We're so glad to hear that your family had a wonderful time with us both on your rafting trip and your jeep tour! We greatly appreciate the feedback about making a stop on the way back from the canyons, and this is something I'll bring up with our Land Tour manager. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us, we truly appreciate it!

Our guide Jordan was great and kept her ducklings (kayakers) informed and able to enjoy the splashing of the rapids. We chose to kayak instead rafting, the downside being that the rafters have it easier to slip into the water and float along with the boat. The upside is that you have your own boat to do as you wish, float along and hang on or stay aboard and enjoy the relaxing feel of river. There were good stretches of just floating and some that you needed to actually do some paddling. Recommend slathering in sun screen, wearing long pants and long sleeves, or both. Wear a hat! Even though it was only about 2 1/2 hours on the water, you could get burned easily with enjoying the scenery. We managed to see a bald eagle perched on a cliff face over one set of rapids so keep an eye out for the wild life!

Our family of 4 took the 1/2 day morning kayaking trip out of Moab on the Colorado. Staff was great from check-in, to helmet and PFD fitting, to moving the mass of people around going with us. Very friendly folks and helpful. But the best part was a Ducky Mama Namy! She was responsible for all of us who chose to kayak rather than raft. We had all different skill levels of kayakers and she coached them all like a pro! She even let those that wished do one rapid twice near the end. I had one 11 yr old and a 15 year old with me and I always felt safe with her guiding them down the river. We can not wait to come back and take a longer run. THANKS NAMY for making a very special family memory for us! Oh, and the Paddle Game was a blast!

Great rafting experience on the Colorado river in Moab, Utah. Our guides, Olivia and Allie were amazing. They did a terrific job with the younger grandkids and made the half day rafting fun for the entire family.
Prior to the trip, Taylor did a very good job providing us with details for the rafting trip, answered all our questions with excellent follow up.
We highly recommend Mild to Wild for a great rafting experience and fun times.
