Our tour guide was great, enjoyed the ride to Muir Woods. The redwoods were spectacular, this was first time we have seen the redwoods in person. Ate at a great little burger joint Sausalito. Would do this again.

      Short and sweet
The woods are a wonderful place to explore and Sausalito is truly a charming town. I think a day tour would have been a better option as the time spent at each location was way too short to truly experience everything there is to offer. Otherwise it was a good tour.

      Fantastic Tour Guide, Fantastic Tour
Viktor is a very enthusiastic and energetic guide who went out of his way to make sure that we had a great experience. We weren't able to see the giant sequoias this time due to heavy snowfall, but Viktor made it up to us with extra photo spots and a short hike with stunning views. The area itself was beyond magnificent and the numerous stops along the way for restroom and food breaks made the day perfectly manageable, despite being such a long journey! The documentaries shown in the bus were excellent additions, and all of the contextual information that Viktor provided about the area and it's history was awesome to learn about I can not recommend this tour enough!!

      In tune with nature
If you are wanting to get lost in nature and experience pure beauty book this trip! From the moment you step into the woods you feel a sense of calm rush over you and all of the stresses of the day fade away. There is a quite portion of the trail where you just sit and listen to the creek run and the birds chirp, you feel in tune with nature. Seeing the enormous trees in person is surreal.

      A lovely time.
Had a great time on the Muir Woods & Sausalito Half-Day Tour! The small group made it feel really relaxed and personal, and everything was super smooth from start to finish. The tour page mentioned a max of 40 people, but there were only about 11 of us, so there was plenty of space on the bus. Muir Woods was absolutely stunning - walking among the giant redwoods was such a peaceful experience. We had plenty of time to explore without feeling rushed, which was perfect. You could definitely spend much longer there if you wanted to go deeper into the trails. I took a bit of a risk and wandered pretty far, but it was totally worth it. After that, we headed to Sausalito, which had beautiful waterfront views and a really laid-back vibe. I liked that we had the option to take the bus or ferry back, which added some flexibility. I chose the ferry since I knew I wouldn’t get another chance to take one on this trip. The only downside was that the charging ports on the bus didn’t work. It wasn’t a big deal for me as I also had multiple powerbanks with me, so I didn’t bring it up, but something to keep in mind. Overall, a great mix of nature and coastal charm - definitely worth it if you can make the time within your trip!

      Great nature tour
For those who want to experience California's nature without the long drive to Yosemite. The tour also stops at the Golden gate Bridge allowing for great pictures.

Superb day out with a superb guide and driver.
What a superb day we had, Danilo was a great guide and driver, so knowledgable. Muir Woods is just breathtaking we had a wonderful time and then we went to Sausalito for the afternoon and opted to take the ferry back. We had a lovely lunch overlooking the bay. We would definitely recommend this tour for anyone wanting to visit the woods.

Safe driver and an excellent storyteller on Muir Woods Tour.
Our driver, Kevin, captivated the entire bus with insights about points of interest along the way to Muir Woods. These included historical and cultural events that profoundly shaped the development of San Francisco and Sausalito. We also delved into the construction of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and the significance of John Muir’s conservation efforts. Throughout the drive, Kevin’s engaging and articulate narration made the journey an enriching and informative experience.

Not a good value for what you get.
What you ar paying for with this tour is the ride out to Muir Woods and Sausalito. Our bus driver was very nice and gave us some histrorical highlights of the area. There is no tour of Muir Woods or Saucalito. The bus takes you there, where you have 1.5 hour to enjoy the park. then to Sausalito. There were three of us. We could have taken a Lyft for about $110 round trip. $15 each to get into the park - with more time in the park. This was not a great value. Having said that the Muir Woods are gorgeous and a must do when visiting SF.

      Absolutely breathtaking magical
Yosemite is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, including towering granite cliffs, majestic waterfalls, pristine alpine meadows, and ancient sequoia groves. The park's iconic landmarks like El Capitan, Half Dome, and Yosemite Falls attract millions of visitors each. We had a very special time walking and holding hands

      Wonderful!!!
I recently took a tour of Yosemite National Park, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! From start to finish, everything was well-organized and enjoyable. Our driver, Jack, was amazing and incredibly skillful. Navigating the winding roads with ease, he ensured a smooth and safe journey throughout the trip. His professionalism and friendly demeanor made the ride even more pleasant. Our guide, Joseph, was equally outstanding. He had a wealth of knowledge about the park and shared fascinating insights about Yosemite's history, geology, and wildlife. The views in Yosemite were nothing short of breathtaking. From the towering cliffs to the majestic waterfalls, every sight was awe-inspiring. The tour also provided ample free time to explore the park at our own pace, allowing us to fully appreciate the natural beauty, including iconic spots like the falls and cliffs. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Yosemite. With an expert driver like Jack and a knowledgeable guide like Joseph, it’s an experience you won’t want to miss!

This was an outstanding tour with expert commentary from the driver, Greg Fetherolf who told me he had led tours with Gray Line for 48 years. While he’s officially retired, he still works a couple of days a week doing a job he clearly enjoys. Just outstanding work from Greg.

After a brief stop for a Golden Gate snap, it was not long before we arrived at Jacuzzi Family Wines. That’s Jacuzzi as in the jetted tubs/spas. The winery is modelled on the family home in Italy and it’s a stunningly beautiful place.

Next up was Robledo Family Wines which was set up by a Mexican immigrant. It was fascinating to learn his history and enjoy several of the wines.

A two-hour stop at Sonoma Square offers plenty of options for a relaxed lunch.

Finally, a visit to a Napa winery, Ru Vango, capped off a great day in the wine country.

All the wineries were beautiful with great wines on offer and having the tasting fee included was convenient.

This was a bucket list experience for me coming all the way from Australia and it gets a big tick!

We had reservations before we even arrived in CA, wanting to see the Sonoma/Napa area. This tour did not disappoint. Danilo, our driver, also served as the tour guide (didn’t discover this until well into the road trip). He got us to each of the 4 destinations safely and was so well-informed about the various areas, wineries and especially the history of the Sonoma & Napa area. His “trivia” was not only filled with humor but fun facts. In addition to the 3 wineries with 4 tastings at each, we also enjoyed a wonderful time in Sonoma Center with a leisurely lunch. I would recommend this tour and company.

It was a long day and the order of the vineyards added to that time. Pick up was confusing as the driver did not have a list of people and there were several buses there. We got on at the first stop near Union Square, then had to go to Fisherman’s Wharf for another pick up. The bus was full.
The first vineyard was lovely and good wines. It was Artesa. Then we passed the one that ended up being third to go to BR Cohen. The location was lovely and the wines were ok. Sonoma Square for lunch was nothing special. The last winery was Madonna and it was truly disappointing. We stood in a tasting room, had to move to a counter to get our pours (and there was a cat walking up and down the counter). It was crowded, the wines were our least favorite, and we saw nothing but the tasting room.
The bus driver was informative as we drove along. The bus had no seatbelts and even the driver didn’t use one. For driving on highways, this was disappointing.
We spent a lot for this day and have very mixed feelings about it.

The bus was very cramped with little space between seats. The driver was not well amplified and did not do the best job hosting. The first winery had delicious wines and the host was very engaging and lively it was a great time. Jacuzzi is beautiful but wines are so so the gentleman there took almost all our time with the tour and we didn’t get to enjoy the grounds and Madonna was disappointing. You are better off taking a smaller group tour, just pay the extra money so you have smaller group. Less waiting, less touring and more tasting. Disappointing.

The cost is not proportional to the amount of time we spent in each place, when you buy it it says 75 minutes in each vineyard and the
Driver only gives you 60 minutes but actually asks you to return to the bus in 50 minutes. There were times where we left before 60 minutes. The vineyards that they take you only provide you with a shot of wine, and with one bottle they serve 50 people. I do not recommend it.

One of the worst tour experiences I’ve ever had and we’ve traveled all over the world.

The guide was rude and didn’t seem to know anything about the area or the wineries. She continued to reprimand all of us throughout the day and failed to answer any questions.

They changed the wineries the day of, and with the exception of Madonna, none of them were great. They ended up taking us to Sutter Home, where the wine was nothing short of juice.

Finally - the worst part - the bus, though advertised as “air conditioned” was not. The driver and tour guide both blamed each other for not turning it on. It was 97 degrees in Sonoma yesterday. You can’t even close the drapes over the windows, so the sun was beating down. The drive to the last winery was almost an hour. People were ready to pass out. They’re very lucky no one ended up in the hospital. Most of us had friends/family pick us up from the last winery, while others paid more than $150 for an Uber back to the city.

At no point did either of them apologize for the experience or offer a solution. We got a lot of “we’re suffering too” - without realizing they were paid to be there, while the rest of us paid them.

It was a really awful experience. Literally, try any other tour. There were 10 of us, meaning we spent more than $1600 for this nightmare trip. Don’t make the same mistake!

Hi Armaansmom, I'm truly sorry to hear about your disappointing experience on this tour. It's clear that you had a less-than-ideal time due to issues with the guide, the wineries, and the lack of proper air conditioning. Your feedback is valuable, and it's important for us to provide a positive and comfortable experience for our customers. Thank you for sharing your honest review, and I hope your future travel experiences are much more enjoyable.

A great day out led by Danny our driver.
After a slow start due to a late arrival, we visited the Golden Gate bridge for a brief stop (admission is free). The weather was perfect for a photo op and it gave everyone time to mix while off the bus. After a fairly long drive to wine country we arrived at Artesa, the first (and best) stop of the day.
(We were supposed to stop at Roche but that didn't happen for some reason.) Fantastic hosting at Artesa and plenty of tasting to go around. Never a dry glass at this winery!
Next stop was the B R Cohn winery near Sonoma. A pleasant stop and fascinating history referencing the Doobie Brothers but having been thoroughly spoilt at Artesa it was definitely a less entertaining experience, which was a shame as we were all really only getting started!
Lunch was in Sonoma at the square (not included) and everyone had about an hour to eat, drink, consume ice cream and wander about the place. Lovely little town square full of interest.
For our last stop we circled back to Madonna Estates (not owned or in any way associated with the pop singer). This was No.2 in the ranking of stops and quite pleasant to end the visit to the valley.
Definitely a box to tick if you happen to be in San Francisco and looking to see more without hiring a car.

It’s wonderful to hear that Artesa was a standout stop, and we appreciate your feedback on the other locations as well. We hope your experience made for some unforgettable memories in wine country! Cheers and we’d love to welcome you back for more adventures soon! 🍷

Drink. Don't drive. The idea of doing a scheduled tour was a last-minute decision as we originally planned on renting and driving as we had been thinking about visiting other wineries.

Our driver, Danny, was engaging and funny. His knowledge of the history of each city/town was entertaining and formative, even though English isn't his first language and some words were difficult to understand. I wasn't planning on learning history along the way.

We visited three wineries, and apparently the schedule changes. During this trip, we visited Roche, Madonna and BR Cohen.

As we crossed the Golden Gate Bridge, we stopped for photos. It was a sunny, beautiful day. then continued on to our first stop: Roche. Our winery guide, Natalie, was awesome and her fellow pourers were very generous. As our first stop, I learned more about the climate and soil, and how it affected the grapes. The 2021 Chardonnay Carneros converted me to Chardonnay. Also pleasantly surprised with my new love of Pinot Noir.

Madonna was next, and no ... there's no connection to the Madonna (lol). Our guide, Barry, spent time teaching us tips on how to experience wine from the start. Here, I was surprised by the red Zin. Pinot Noir was still a stand out for me. One winery guide, who also was the pourer, which meant lighter pours.*

Lunch was in Sonoma Plaza, where I've been and had been hoping to get back to The Girl and the Fig. What we didn't plan on was the need for reservations. We did find a tapas place, Tasca Tasca, that could seat us and was the perfect pairing for the wine consumed already. After lunch, we "popped" in next door at Sigh, a champagne and sparkling bar, for frozen drinks to enjoy as dessert.

Last stop was BR Cohen, fun to learn that he was the manager of the Doobie Brothers. The wine was really good, but there was one guide who also poured, which is harder for a large group.* The winery is a beautiful space.

*Other reviews have acknowledged lighter pours at various locations, BUT when you put the day into perspective, we drank a lot of wine for the price point. I was glad we had a driver to fully enjoy the experience.

No regrets from taking this tour! My husband and I really enjoyed our time & all the wine! The bus host, Greg was amazing! Very sweet and beyond knowledgeable about San Fran & Napa/Sonoma, we learned so much! The host at each winery were great as well. The wineries were beautiful! We took many amazing pics. The cost is very well worth the money. The break down is about $40/per winery the transportation has to be pricey gas, driver and golden gate toll. The day went smooth with a perfect amount of time at each winery and the stop for lunch. We took the tour Sept 26th the bus was full about 40 guests. I expected it be would be much smaller but no complaints (we love meeting people). Some advice bring a coat for the San Fran weather when boarding and drop off, you won’t need any coats during the wine tours it was way warmer! You can leave bags and coats on the bus.

We wanted to visit Napa and Sonoma so we booked this trip and it was better than we expected. Greg was so much fun, gave us a solid tour around the places we passed, told us some stories and made our experience even better by giving us a few tips to consider. We had 3-4 tastings at the first winery then about +30 minutes to purchase, get a glass and walk around. About the same time for the second but would suggest you grab a snack so you're good by the time you head to Sonoma Plaza. Lunch was great since Greg gave us a few ideas, although would recommend you reserve ahead if you plan to go to a place like TG & TF between 1:30-1:45pm.
The third place was fun for us since they seemed very generous when pouring after the +5 tastings, so enjoy and stay hydrated, its a lot of fun and worth every minute. Also maybe think about your drop off location to be Fisherman's Wharf so you have tons of options for dinner within walking distance.
