Lame Rip-off
Oct. 2021 • Couples
We showed up at 11 and all of the rides where closed due to staffing issues. They cycled through the rides but it was ridiculous that 90% of the park was closed. Funnily enough they still charge you full price. The rides that were open were pretty lame and almost exact copies of each other. We left after 2 hours.

Lazy River Currently Only Open on Weekends
Jul. 2021
We went here while on vacation in Hawaii. We purchased our tickets in advance more than a month out from our arrival, we also booked a cabana.

The cabana, while expensive, felt worth it because free seating seemed to be very limited. Our youngest son (7) spent most of the day on the flo rida boogie board experience - well worth the cost of the all day pass.

The disappointing portions were the fact that the lazy river was closed, expect for on weekends. This was not mentioned anywhere, beyond their Facebook site and it was posted just days before arrival. If it happened to just be closed for the day, that would have been fine - but it was clear that it is just always closed during the week right now. It feels disingenuous not to provide a long term closing like this to prospective guests.

Our teenagers enjoyed the water slides, though only about half of them were open at one time, which was also a little frustrating.

The food was okay, but the lines were very long. We were happy to be able to use the QR code from our cabana so save us from standing in line - but the food was not good at all. We also purchased loaded fries and half of the menu ingredients were missing, but it wasn't worth trying to complain.

If more things were open, I think that I would have rated this at least a 4/5, but as it stands 3 is the best I can give it and that is mostly based on my kids' enjoyment of the flo rida.

Come for the flow rider and fried ice-cream! Yes, fried ice-cream!
Jun. 2021
I love water parks and this is my all time favorite. It's super small, super clean and well maintained. No lines on a Sunday, but go on a weekday to be sure. Head to the left rear for the "big" rides, the front are for the wee ones. Pay extra for the boogie board on the flow rider, not for the surf board. Even avid surfers had trouble on the flow board.

Parents please, stop making the staff the bad guys by bringing your vertically challenged children to rides that they can't go on. It's for their safety and emotional well being. These little kids get emotionally stressed being promised to go on a ride to only be told they're not tall enough yet. Then the staff (who are barely 18) get blamed.

Anyway, back to the park. The best feature..... the fried ice-cream! It's two sweetbread toast deep fried with ice-cream in the middle and spiciness sprinkled on top. OMG, best dessert in the world this dessert deva (Yelp handle by the way) has ever tasted. I'm making it my mission to find a way to get the fried ice-cream w/o going inside the park, it's so worth it.

Don’t come by bus!!!
Jun. 2021 • Family
The Wet n Wild Water park was average! The lazy river was closed nothing to do for older adults except for eating and laying out! You can just do that for free at the beach anytime! my teens had fun so that’s why we went! My main complaint is the staff said we could come here by bus so we did! Quess what you can’t walk around a freeway LOL! So we had to take a Uber to get into the parking lot! And and Uber to leave the water Park! So don’t plan on coming by bus! So plan on budgeting an extra couple hundred for transportation!!!

Dec. 2020 • Family
I took my 14 and 11 year old while on vacation in Hawaii. First of all, due to covid, almost all the rides are closed, only a select few are actually open. Wave pool only went off about once every 30 to 40 minutes. My biggest pet peeve was the fact that none of the employees (mostly teens) wore a mask. They all had them down under their chins. I feel like it was a waste of money for what was actually open.

Overall lots of family fun
Oct. 2019
Our family of five attended the park Oct. 31, 2019. Overall the family had fun, that to me was the most important. However I did notice a lack in grounds maintenance and it left us feeling overall that the care of the grounds and the training was lacking. The parking lot was filthy and some of the pools were too. I also noticed for it not being busy and having just opened the sidewalks and stairways were very dirty. Lots of rock and plant debris caused our feet to hurt climbing the stairs. Overall, there were no lines to speak of while we were there, which meant we got to ride everything quickly several times.

Unfortunately for Wet N Wild, we are comparing our cleanliness experiences with Dollywood's water park, which was spotless and packed.

Total waste of time and money.
Sep. 2019 • Friends
We bought a twofer from Costco that included the Flowrider. We went on a Friday, 06Sep. We knew it would only be open 10:30-3:30. The park was not ready for guests it seemed. The wave pool had major issues and didn't work for over an hour, and them very sporadically thereafter. The Flowrider never did open, and several other "rides" or slides either never opened, or opened for an extremely short period. The Lazy River didn't open until 12:30!!!!! The ONE thing we wanted to do the most. Worse yet, it was only open about an hour and a half (or less). Really????? So, or choices were the kiddie pool area, or the wave pool that barely worked. I believe the problem overall centered around staffing. If they couldn't staff the slides and the lazy rivet consistently, perhaps they shouldn't have opened at all! I'd really like a refund since I did not get what I paid for in any way. My advice? Don't bother going, you'll be disappointed.

Give a kid a break
Aug. 2019
Overall decent rides, food prices not outrageous, and wait times at rides pretty good.

Huge gripe: my son patiently waited in line for a surf ride. When he was third in line the attendant said 'you need a ticket to do this ride' (didn't see any sign that said so, apparently the only ride in the park where a ticket is required). So we bought him a ticket for $2 and told him to go back to the attendant. He did so and asked if he could get back in line in the same place he was previously (only one person in front of him). The attendant said "no. wait in line like everyone else." No way to treat a 9 year old. He was pretty crushed and the ride broke about 20 minutes later so they shut it down for the day (overall he waited an hour without getting on the ride). Terrible behavior on the attendant's part.

Father + daughter has a great time!
Jul. 2019
We were on Oahu visiting family and I wanted to take my daughter out to get her off her phone. Wet n wild did the trick. I read the other reviews that said that a lot of the attractions were closed, but I guess we were lucky that they all appeared open.
Our approach was to hit the ones that looked fun and were close to each other. We were also on a timeline (only 3 hours to spend there). Here is our list of rides we did in order of adrenaline pumping fun!
1. Tornado (did 2x)
2. Shaka
3. Waimea Whirl (did 2x)
4. Waianae Coasters (did 2x)
5. Big Kahuna
6. Volcano Express

The Tornado and Waimea Whirl we did 2x because it was a great ride, while the Waianae Coaster because the lines were short. Shaka looks a little scary, but is a great rush when you make the drop!

We only ate a slushie (don't care for theme park food) and even that was dismal. The flavor we wanted was broken so had to opt for the regular strawberry.

All n all I can imagine spending the entire day there. Of course my daughter was 14 so we were cool on trying all the rides.
