About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Shaza00090 contributionsWow. Natural volcanic splendourWe hired a car and drove to this western point of Maderia. Very windy roads but easy to drive on. Parking is not free but plenty of it. Lots of cafe/eating places. A bit commercialised. The natural rock swimming pools were amazing but it was a red flag day for wind so not for me. However people did go in. Would recommend water shoes. Believe there are.lockers but most people just left bags by the rocks. Free to access and take photos.Written 10 October 2024
- woodad220 contributionsA wonderful stress free tour of a delightful islandWow!! We booked the 'two day around the island' tour before we left the UK for Madeira. We received a text advising us of our pick up time and pick up point which gave us great confidence that we had booked with a reputable organisation and so it proved. Each day was amazing. The driver/guide we had for both days was Ronata/George aka Ronato!! (You'll understand the 3 names if you are lucky enough to have him as your guide). Ronato gave us so much wonderful information throughout the tours in an informal, jolly style which was apprciated by all on board. Our minibus had 16 seats and all had panoramic views of the gorgeous countryside. The stops for lunch each day allows you to recover and take stock without rushing you and the time allotted at each stop again didn't make you feel rushed. We were picked up at 8.45 each morning and dropped off around 4.45. We both feel it is exceptional value and we're so happy that we decided to do this tour rather than hire a car and try drive around these steep windy roads. It also means that you can properly enjoy the local drink (Poncha) if you fancy it. There were solo travellers on our trip and people from all over the world and everyone seemed to enjoy it just as much as we both did. Brilliant.Written 1 October 2024
- gardeninggirl0 contributionsInformativeThis is a good option if you want to get to Porto Moniz for a swim without faff of hiring a car. Get a decent 2 hours stop there time for swim and lunch. A precooked tour is offered by tour guide but no need to take it plenty of other options. Small group, very informative guide. Some of the stops really not necessary or interesting but generally a reasonably priced day outWritten 30 September 2024
- V8580NYjennyw0 contributionsExcellent two days!Excellent tours! Our guide (same both days) gave us just the right amount of information, pointing out various plants and landmarks etc along the way. The stops were all interesting and we had about the right amount of time in each. We had a very good driver and felt very safe with him! It was an excellent way of seeing relatively inaccessible places on the island and a very reasonable price too!Written 22 September 2024
- Niamh R0 contributionsWorth every penny (or cent)Renato was our tour guide. He was so informative and had a great sense of humour. The tour was great from start to finish. I'm not sure which was my favourite bit, seeing the oldest christ the redeemer, the rum or the final stop at the top of the mountain! You stop between 20 and 30 minutes at each stop, which is enough, to be honest. We stopped for an hour and a half for lunch, which was also just enough. Would thoroughly recommend! (Infact we recommended it when we met new holiday friends who are planning on doing the tour!) Definitely go, it's well worth the money :)Written 21 September 2024
- Stay639962936530 contributionsMadiera east tourWe had Renato as our guide today on the Madiera East tour. Pickup was prompt, Renato was very entertaining and informative. Stops included a rum distillery, town of Santana with time for lunch and touring around the traditional houses, and a few other stops for walking about and photo ops as we wound our way up to Pico Do Ariero at height of 1818 metres. Enjoyed our day and would recommend the tour and this companyWritten 20 September 2024
- C8539WMpatc0 contributionsGreat introduction to the islandHad a great tour with Renata he was very knowledgeable keeping up a constant stream of information about the areas we were traveling through even pointing out all the different fruits growing by the road side. Great introduction to the island would definitely recommend.Written 13 September 2024
- Voyage4022540 contributionsAvoid these scammersThese impertinent imbeciles don't even have the decency to let us know that they cancelled our booked and paid tour! I tried to contact them via 3 different channels to try and find out when they will pick us up from our hotel, and there was no reponse whatsoever, nothing! There was absolutely no notification or communication about them cancelling our tour, so it was by sheer accident that I logged in to tripadvisor just to see "cancelled" next to the tour, in the afternoon, the previous day! Shame on you!Written 13 September 2024
- KathleenSh140 contributionsA great way to see the island! As someone who didn’t want to rent a car, this was a great way to see the island! Our guide Gloria (both days) was personable, knowledgeable, and spunky. Saw a ton over the 2 days, from things in the mountainous region, to the coast / water, to getting to go in the natural pools, to a rum distillery. Tour guide also organized a great lunch both days (not included). Gives you a taste of everything so you know what to explore more of later in your trip, or your next time on the island :) . Thanks for a fun 2 days!Written 10 September 2024
- 996sherylk0 contributionsFull day East Tour of MadeiraJust returned to our hotel following a stunning tour of the East of Madeira courtesy of our very engaging guide, Renato. His knowledge and passion for the island was clear. We also completed a half day tour three days ago to Nuns Valley with guide Gabriel who was equally as informative. Both destinations are amazing even with fog at the peak of East tour making it very atmospheric. Would thoroughly recommend this tour company.Written 8 September 2024
- simonpage810 contributionsFantastic tour to see different parts of MadeiraFantastic tour getting to see many different parts of Madeira! For a family the amount of time on the bus is perfect max 30 mins between stops and the stops were all very nice places, especially Porto Moniz. Also big thanks to our driver/guide Lionel, who with his knowledge and humour made the trip a solid 5/5, thanks 👍Written 29 August 2024
- Yellz720 contributionsReal value for money!Amazing value for money! I've paid a lot more for a lot less in terms of guided tours. This was a whistle stop tour of all the main places of interest on the island and while, personally, I'd have preferred more time at the mountain top and less time in the tiny stop that only had a trout farm of interest, I appreciate that's personal taste. Had we been in Madeira for longer, we could have used the tour as a "taster" for places we could have gone back to ourselves and for longer. The guides each day were friendly and informative and were particularly good for telling you how to get to these places on your own. A worthwhile excursion and good value for money.Written 15 August 2024
- mackaaij0 contributionsNice two-day-tour around the island with interesting stopsWe booked the two day tour and especially enjoyed the first day. A mini bus picks you up from the hotel and takes you to all the important stepovers around the island. Think: interesting towns, churches, fruit plantation, glass balcony view point (Cabo Girão), volcanic natural pool (Porto Moniz), traditional Santana Old House and the North Mills Distillery. During the ride, the drivers tell you a lot about the island. The first day was better as it included a swim stop and driver Renato was much more enthusiastic. The second day, we had another driver who spoke monotonously and only 1/3 English over 2/3 Portugese.Written 8 August 2024
- U2937XPalessiac0 contributionsGreat viewsWho ever said 70+ people can do this are lying unless they are super super fit. Expect to climb a lot of stairs. It was a great experience over all. You can definitely see how far your limit is with this hike. Would recommend.Written 6 August 2024
- 879viviana0 contributionstrip to Porto Monizthey say its Natural Swimming Pools but its been all modernised for tourists .Which i can understand. However the other side of Bay are Natural Pools and they are so much betterWritten 24 July 2024
