About the operator

- hungrygal530 contributionsThe Bee Experience is the best!Jefferson is the greatest guide. Grandson is very interested in bees, so we came for the Bee Experience. We were able to ask all the questions we had and have a greater understanding of these VIPs - very important pollinators! Although hot, it was exciting to wear the suits and sit amongst the hives and bees under Jefferson’s careful eye. Enjoyed tasting the fresh honey from the frame, as well as some of the other honeys in the shop. Highly recommend the Bee Experience.Written 9 August 2024
- margaretlea0 contributionsLearned a lot. Fun experience. My husband and I knew nothing about bees before visiting. We learned a lot and found it really interesting. (We did the History tour.)Written 29 June 2024
- 720evanf0 contributionsAwesome! This place is amazing. Yes, there are bees. And honey. And mead. But one of the things I really enjoyed was the atmosphere. Everyone, from staff to guests to dogs, was so friendly and happy. We did a history tour of the bees and that was a great time with so much information. Then we got to taste honey and get some mead flights. I also really enjoyed the glamping tents - a neat place to stay overnight.Written 30 December 2023
- houstonnative19470 contributionsSurprise in the middle of nowhereWe visited here while driving the area looking at wildflowers. It is amazing to me that this place has been here for over 100 years! It is really out in the middle of nowhere. The complex is large with a store, mead tasting room, campsite, bee observation deck, queen garden and much more. It would be fun to visit on a cool day with friends. We enjoyed visiting the store but were not able to go on a tour as it wasn't available that day.Written 11 May 2022
- TravelingforFunTexas0 contributionsInformative and fun!Our family (including a 11 & 13 yr old) enjoyed our visit to BeeWeavers! The buildings and grounds are well maintained, and all the nice shade trees made for a comfy time. There are various events and tours to choose from. We opted for the $5 Public Hive Tour (~45 minutes). Roosevelt, our bee keeper, has been working there for 55 years and is such a kind man! He’s full of bee knowledge, and is great with kids of all ages. Tasting the honey straight from a honeycomb was fun. The store sells everything bee related. So glad we learned about this place!Written 16 July 2021
- 6isenoughforme0 contributionsFun little stopWhile in Belleville for a softball tournament, we had some downtime and searched TripAdvisor for something to do. We found the bee weaver honey farms. The public beehive tours were not happening at the time, which was a little bit of a disappointment, but there was still plenty to do. We did honey tasting at the cute little gift shop and mead tasting at the mead distillery next door. It was an enjoyable short stop. We spent about 1.5 hours here.Written 11 July 2021
- Climber7004270 contributionsWho knew we'd love a bee farm...We went for a private 'tasting' for my daughter's birthday. I thought to myself what a strange thing to do for your birthday. But we loved it. Everyone was so nice and the honey is awesome. The gift shop is adorable, the property is nicely done and the mead tasting is also fun, though she couldn't do that. Who knew I'd like this so much. I'd have never gone had she not seen the sign a week before and said that's what she wanted to do for her 19th birthday. She does love bees but it sounded boring to me. It wasn't. We all loved it.Written 11 February 2021
- 48Buddy0 contributionsBee CutenessThoroughly enjoyed our visit to the bee farm and meadery. The hives are all around the grounds and it's interesting to learn about the workings of the hive. The gift shop has every cute bee related merchandise you can imagine, plus they sell the honey. The meadery was a fun extra and we enjoyed learning about that as well. Flights of 4 are $12 and they have a nice outdoor patio and picnic area. Great family outing!Written 11 September 2020
- tripledbee0 contributionsBee Weaver honey farmsMy wife and I drove up to Bee Weaver Honey farms, in Navasota TX, from Floresville TX. It was well worth the 3hr drive. We were just picking up some Queens. Their staff was extremely nice, and more than informative. On all things Bee, and that was the two ladies in the store. We will most definitely be back to do some tours and seminars!Written 30 August 2020
- hortiq0 contributionsAll about the bees and honey! Not the best of weather to go fly and buzz with the bees but four of us took a chance and visited Bee Weaver Honey Farm just south of Navasota. Not enough people for a tour, but we enjoyed tasting different honey flavors, jellies and meads, browsing the wonderful and unique items in the gift shop, and a talk on bee-life (life span, where they go and when, what they get up to in the hives, different types and their temperaments - a "whos who" in the bee queendom"). Definitely worth going back; they were very welcoming and helpful.Written 15 January 2020
- kimsB5902HB0 contributionsHoney HarvestingWe took the free tour of the Bee Farm with live Bees and a honey harvesting extraction after the tour. All the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The information about the hives and Queen Bees were very interesting. The Extraction process was very detailed. We received a free honey tasting of various types of honey. They were all great. The Mead tour was last and very interesting. Definitely recommend going. There are live bees flying around most of the time. I would recommend for children old enough to stand still for 15- 20 minutes at a time, so as not to disturb the bees. If you are afraid of live bees flying around don't go.Written 30 November 2019
- rpress6155950 contributionsHistory tour and honey extractionHad an interesting tour of the farm and watched the extraction of honey from freshly pulled frames. Also got to taste the latest mead made on site. Lots of fun and very educational and interestingWritten 30 November 2019
- Melinda S0 contributionsSuch a great place to buzz about! The guest shop is interesting and carries a great selection of honey products. I haven't made it out yet to try the mead but I am looking forward to trying some soon. Weaver honey is the best!Written 3 September 2019
- Margaret V0 contributionsBeeWeaverThe BeeWeaver Honey Farm is kind of hard to find, but it's a quaint little shop with all kinds of honey and products made from honey and Mead. There are containers with working bees in the shop itself, and we found them very interesting. It was worth the trip. We were not there at a time that they had the hive tour but we enjoyed ourselves anyway. It is definitely worth taking the time out to go there, and we will probably go back. We especially liked their products. They had different kinds of honey. The honey with cinnamon whipped into it was especially yummy. They also have honey hand cream which is so good and makes your hands feel soft and silky.Written 19 August 2019
- PigeonHead330 contributionsHidden Gem in Texas!Such an amazing place. We spent several hours here tasting honey and mead, talking to Roosevelt, and shopping. The hive tour was so interesting for the kiddos, and even us adults. The honey is to die for. The tasting presentation was also realIy informative. We learned a lot bought way too much honey but man there were just so many good ones! I will definitely be referring this hidden gem to everyone heading to Tx.Written 21 June 2019

I thought I knew a lot about bees…turns out I’d only scratched the surface. And BeeWeaver only made me love, and respect them more! Roosevelt, the bee king, is amazing in his knowledge and experience, and his patter is hilarious! You’ll definitely leave with more than one new nugget of information. Oh, and make sure you stock up on honey before you leave. They have amazing varieties that I guarantee you’ve never tasted before.

The BeeWeaver Honey Farm tour is a must do if you’re in the area. We were fortunate enough to have the farm manager as our tour guide. The tour is very informative and all the staff members are very friendly and knowledgeable. Questions are encouraged and there are samples of the delicious honey flavors! We will be back for sure!
