      Exciting, safe, fun.
Excellent trip, Jan made it more exciting for the teenagers in the raft, but also assessed well that our 11 year old was fine and confident. We all did the 5m jump! Excellent trip

      Fantastic Experience
Our instructor Zack made the experience by entertaining us, as well as being a very thorough instructor navigating this amazing river. He gave us plenty of opportunities to go easy or difficult, gave us some history on the area and the river, was very relaxed about us choosing what we did, and stayed calm when the eight of us who were hungover decided to mess about a little, and not listen to instructions. The river itself is amazing, with all difficulties of obstacles, rapids, cliffs to jump off, places to swim etc All in all, totally worth it, reasonably priced for the two+ hours we were on the water, and I recommend it to all! Cheers Zack!! From Charlie, Adam, Gary, Rich, Nicole, Jamie, Simon and Jordan!!

      Family Rafting
Just done the most amazing White water rafting with Zac from An Rafting. Cost was 37euros per person and there were eight of us (4 adults and 4 kids). Absolutely brilliant fun and lasted for ages (well over an hour). Defo recommend and we will be back next year!

      Brilliant fun, thanks Yann!
We were tempted to turn around when we left Annecy and saw it was just over an hour drive on the sat nav. My kids get panicked when they don’t have a film to watch or music to listen too for more than a few minutes, but I’m so, so glad we didn’t. You arrive and the whole place is well run and efficient. The two guides, Jeff and Yann are good guys and the right mix of professional but charming too. We chose the most tame of the routes, suitable for kids over 8 and we were sat with another French family with two young kids like ours. We worked together and the language was not an issue. Safely was given priority but fun was a close second. It helped that the other family were lovely people but rafting seems to bring out the kid in everyone. The route is spectacular and really awe inspiring, Yann is a great guy and his instructions were clear throughout. We will definitely be back next time and we will try the most advanced course too. At the end of it, you board a bus and drive back to the base camp, so it’s all well run and the equipment is pretty new and works fine. The showers and bathrooms are pretty basic but work ok. It’s not the Four Seasons so don’t expect a luxury experience. We really enjoyed it and can’t recommend it highly enough. If you fancy something to raise the heartbeat and see some amazing natural sights - book with these guys, you won’t regret it. It’s really exciting and the guides are experienced and confidence inspiring too.

      Rafting with family and friends
Wow! This is the second time we have visited, the last time was 2 years ago. We have children ranging from 9-16 in our squad, this is perfect for everyone! All you need to bring is a swimming costume and a towel, everything else is provided. There are a couple of different options, we started at Aimes and traveled down in 2 boats, then a coach is provided get you back to the rafting hq. Equipment was in good repair and clean, changing and showering facilities are provided as well. The rapids are loads of fun, and there are a couple of opportunities to leap off rocks and let the current take you down the river. I've read in earlier reviews that your safety will be compromised if you don't speak English! Totally and categorically untrue! Safety is very important and comes first, this is evident in everything they do. I cannot recommend this experience enough.

If you don't speak French, safety is compromised.
We came here for a fun rafting trip but we were happy to leave without any significant injuries. I do a lot of exciting activities including rafting, skydiving, sea kayaking, etc. I am not a pro, but I am certainly not easily spooked or fearful of these things. We embarked on this adventure wide-eyed and full of excitement. We were told that they spoke English, and we understood that being the only two English speakers in the boat, we wouldn't get the whole story, but I feel it is absolutely paramount to completely translate the entire safety briefing. We got about 10% of it. His catch phrase was "to follow the French" or "learn to speak French". Funny at the time but not later when we encountered a potentially life threatening situation. I am sure this doesn't happen frequently - but just as we were entering the most severe rapids (I would guess class 3 or 4), our boat high sided a boulder and 4-5 of us were tossed out. Myself and one other individual were not quickly recovered and we had to endure the rapids on our own. The speed at which the water takes you, combined with the temperature and the sheer fear that you are completely on your own in that water is overwhelming. I was swept down through several rapids; I busted my knee on something. I recalled safety instructions that had been given at previous rafting trips(within the US) - things like: keep your feet up and don't try to stand up, etc. None of these things were mentioned here. I began trying to grab tree limbs or boulders, but they kept breaking and the rocks were too slimy. I was being moved so swiftly by the water, that I was mostly focusing on breathing. I eventually was able to grab a jagged edge on a rock and stabilize myself long enough to clear my airway and regain ability to breath normally. The boat then came screaming by with no attempt to get near me. After that, it was pretty uneventful but laborious effort for the guide to get me back on the correct side of the river. I will give him credit, that he did get me back to the boat; however, I won't be rafting in Europe again after this experience. Furthermore, I am thankful that this happened to me and not to one of the kids that was on the raft with us!!

      Super activity
We loved the rafting trip! Counting the guide, you are up to 10 persons by boat, and it was amazing! We did the 23km trip, it lasted around 2 hours. The company gives you everything you need, wet suits, life jackets, water shoes, helmets... You just have to enjoy the river and its amazing landscapes... Plus the surprises of the guide! I just didn't put 5 because all the pictures and videos taken during the trip are sold too expensively in my opinion (30€).

      Rafting down the river Azaire
An excellent thrill seeking activity for the summer. Wetsuits and tuition is provided. The staff are knowledgeable, safe but have a sense of humour. A great activity for a half day. On completion of the run, taking about three hours, a coach takes you back to your destination.

Brilliant experience. A mixture of genuine beauty and tranquility with snow capped mountains, abundant wildlife and cool clear water and then some great high octane fun. The wife can be anxious and the son doesn’t seem experience fear, we all absolutely loved it. Will was fantastic, funny, knowledgable and engaging. Rafted with 3 lovely French people. We all loved out. Highly highly recommended. It seems expensive but worth the money in my opinion. It’s a full half day. There’s not much at the location, we brought out own sandwiches. We also went on a rainy day so it was a great thing to do in less good weather.
