Billy was a great guide, showing us all the wild native animals along the way, have never seen so many echidnas in one day & there were certainly no shortage of wallabies on Phillip Island either!! The penguin parade is something we’ll never forget, thanks so much for taking us Billy, thank you for everything you did for us 🤗Written 30 January 2025

- 825debbiea0 contributionsPenguin parade and wildlife refugeThis was a fun trip to the Wildlife refuge and Penguin parade. We had Michael as our guide and he helped make it a fun day. The wildlife refuge has wonderful animals and a great area to engage with the kangaroos. The drive through the National park to see the kangaroos in the wild was amazing. The Penguin parade was great to watch and fun to be next to them on the platform as they walked up the beach to find their nesting place. Overall a wonderful trip!Written 27 January 2025
- 317yifanx0 contributionsVery interesting experienceVery interesting experience! Highly recommende to all travelers. In Moonlit Sanctaury you can encounter koala and take photos with it. And the coastal views of Nobbies Centre was great. Penguin parade was the highlight of that day, our guide Bree helped us find a very nice seat and tell us about the "penguin highway". Very nice guide and tour, recommend to all travellers who love wildlife.Written 23 January 2025

The bus trip with Lachie was enjoyable, he is very informative and makes the trio even funnier with his personality and jokes. The Puffy Billy train was very cute, so amazing, my mother-in-law cried (of joy) multiple times as it is absolutely wonderful. Finishing with the Healesville sanctuary where you can see wildlife with such a proximity with the animals and in a more cage-free environment. It is worth to do trust Mr. Thanks Lachie ☺️Written 21 January 2025

The guide's warm and helpful nature, along with his knack for capturing those special moments like passengers waving from the steam train, added a personal touch to the day. - susiem9500 contributionsPhillip island French Island Wildlife tourIt was too long, no need to leave Melbourne at 12:30 if you can drive yourself. French island was interesting we had a great guide however the van they drove us in was really hard to see out of not what is pictured in brochure, but overall trip 2-3 hours too long.penguins don’t come out until dusk but you get to the park 1 hour early which is far too much time. Our guide was nice, we saw a lot of koalas on French island and wallabies on Phillip island but loaded with tour buses. The penguin parade is really worth seeing but you need to buy the extra ticket to be up close or won’t be worth it. I would drive on hour own for sure. Overall I’d say both islands worth seeing if you want to see koalas in the wild and the penguins coming out of water at dusk but not on a tour that takes 12 hours.Written 16 January 2025

We loved this tour. We had Chris (aka Bear) as our tour guide. He was funny, entertaining and with so much knowledge he shared makes him a great ambassador for Victoria as well as Australia. If you get him as your guide you will be sure to have a fun day. He was such an engaging guy and an asset to Explore Australia. We had booked the cruise at Mornington Peninsula and the beer paddle tasting at a brewery. Most on the bus were booked for the hot spring spa but 3 of us did the cruise. It was a rainy day but thankfully it only rained when we were on the cruise, so undercover. Millionaires walk was stunning. The beer tasting was fantastic. Chris recommended we sip the beer before reading the details about it. He was spot on. It was fun guessing what was in it. The floral notes were evident in one of them. Funny enough the ferry ride was just a cruise across the harbour but we loved watching the surrounds. The lunch was really great. I highly recommend doing this tour as it was the best one we have ever done, and a lot of that comes down to our amazing guide Chris. Kudos to Chris. Good job mate. A trillion stars from us.

The trips was so good, I want to go again. Matthew our guide was so passionate and giving background information on every part of the trips in an enthusiastic, especially when he help a lizards on the road to prevent it getting run over, great environmentalist. The beer and London Bridge was my favorite part, the beers and venues are great and so exciting, I wish I could have more than 1 hour to finish them up, don't want them to go to waste ;). Last thing is for the other guest, Mira, Ralph, Nickel, Sabrina, Silas, Anesia, Danny, Naomi, Ryan, Samantha and finally Matthew you guys are the best, let me express myself and being free for the whole trips, I have a great day. I hope to see you guys again soon. Thanks you, I'm really glad I met you guys.

We had a small group on the bus: 6 people for the hot pools and 2 - incl myself - for the peninsula tour. The view at Portsea was magnificent, only the horseflies where a real pest; they were everywhere! At Sorrento we boarded the ferry and got a delicious lunch pack and reserved table, it was perfect. The real bonus were the dolphins who swam alongside the ferry, I loved it! The brewery visit with beer tasting was welcome as it was a hot day. The hotpool lovers were picked up again and of we went to a beautiful lookout for some great pictures. A 10 minute stop at the beach to see the coloured beach sheds just wasn't long enough, it was a hot day and we would have liked a swim. All in all it was a well organized, fabulous day.

Thank you for choosing to explore the Mornington Peninsula with us, Tiana-1! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the day, especially the views and dolphin sightings. Our team works hard to ensure every tour is memorable and showcases the best of Victoria.
I'm sorry to hear that you didn't get a chance for a swim at the beach but I'm glad we were able to provide some time for pictures. Thank you again for choosing Explore Australia Tours and I hope you'll choose us for your next Australian adventure.

There were two groups on the same bus, one was destined to the spa only and another to the cruise and lunch on the Mornington Penisula with London Bridge and other attractions in the package. When we arrive at the spa, the driver cum tour guide didn't make any effort to find out who was on which package. We thought that there were some last minute changes and didn't ask the driver but was told by someone on the bus that the cruise was fully booked so the detour to the spa. At the spa we were ill equipped to enjoy the dip in the hot spring water so we ended buying the swim wears and slippers there which cost us more than 50% of the cost of the package. We fervently hope that the tour operator pay extra attention to inform those sharing the same bus with different packages about the tour they were supposed to be on.

Hello AUT_9,
Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that there was some confusion on the day of your tour. Our guides do their best to ensure that everyone is aware of what is happening and where they need to be. On this particular day, another one of our guests required medical assistance on arrival at the Hot Springs and due to the complexity of the situation, this miscommunication arose.
We do apologise for the misunderstanding that you experience and are using this experience to better our levels of customer service to ensure that this doesn't happen in the future.
We would appreciate it if you could contact us directly at info@exploreaustraliatours.com.au regarding your tour.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

It felt like our group was ticking the tasks on the tour at points it felt like we were having an experience similar to that you'd find in a taxi :(. Our guide didn't give blurbs about the signifigances of many of the larger stops and could've been more clear about what we were doing on the ferry/cruise.
Lunch is a big grazing box probably built for two but it's given out one per person so go there hungry or BYO doggy bag. The bewry should be made optional as our group was not interested in beer tasting although the location was pretty.

Dear Sknotty,
Thank you for your constructive feedback. As we are a relatively new company, reviews like yours provide excellent feedback which helps us improve our products.
All of our guides are local, and have have extensive industry experience. However, these are new tours, and knowledge of each spot and the dialogue which is conveyed is developed over time. We will continue to support our guides to enable them to deliver an outstanding customer experience moving forward.
We agree with you, our regional grazing lunch box is abundant and we find guests appreciate the box it comes in as it doubles up as BYO box.
Thank you for supporting Explore Australia, and we look forward to seeing you again in the future.

First stop should be in a small town, quirky cafe not at a horrible foodary service station. Need to have more small stops of interest enroute. The "sail" on the bay was just a boring ferry trip there and back, not as described. Did not get to see any of the best parts of the area.

Dear Lesley,
Thank you for your review of our tour. I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed with some aspects of it. Our first priority is always the safety and comfort of our guests, so we do make a rest stop that is not advertised on the way to Mornington Peninsula.
Our team works hard to choose interesting and varied locations for our guests to explore on our Mornington Peninsula tour which includes London Bridge, Millionaires Coastal Walk, St Andrews Brewhouse, Murrays Lookout and the colourful bathing boxes.
I have passed on your feedback to our team and they will look into making the necessary changes so that future guests can enjoy a better experience. We hope you will give us another chance to show you around in the future.

My husband and I chose this day tour as we had never been to the Mornington Peninsula and we were also wanting to go on the gondola so this was the reason for picking this tour and we are so glad we did. Our tour guide Peter was just brilliant, he had a lot of knowledge of all the places we went to and was also very layed back which made us all feel so relaxed. We couldn't fault anything and even got to see an echidna crossing the road and a huge roo jumping fences but the highlights were the bay cruise as you could either sit back and chill out or make your way to the upper deck for fab pics and dolphin spotting. We were even presented with a huge box filled with so many different goodies for lunch. We took half of it back home as there was just so much of it but was absolutely lovely and the other highlight was the gondala. It's another great photo opportunity with gorgeous views over Melbourne. The brewery was also great, we were given a tasting paddle each which had 4 different beers to try and it was also a great way to interact with the rest of the guests. We wouldn't hesitate in doing this tour again and neither should you, you won't regret it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day in and around the Mornington Peninsula. The ferry ride and millionares' walk were my absolute favourite parts. To top off the experience, our bus driver and guide, Kyle, enhanced the day because he was a wealth of knowledge but more importantly, he was a friendly and engaging person. If you are on a tight schedule and want to visit the Mornington Peninsula, this day trip will give you a fantastic taste of this beautiful part of Victoria.

Margaret was amazing tour guide and brought to all different kind of part in Mornington Peninsula. Due to today wind speed is too high we are unable to head to the cruise and the Arthur Seat but is alright. Margaret head us to different spots and giving us a wine tasting on T'Gallant and Intercontinental Restaurant for cruise compensation. The trip was amazing 👏 we thank for this kind of active and well plan tour guide.

The tour was amazing.
The schedule was spot on, wasn't too rush and didn't need to travel too far in between sightseeing points.
Had a relaxing time.
The hamper was surprisingly good! Mostly local produce which is also a good way to respect the locals.
Our tour guide Mathew was very friendly and helpful, explaining and sharing information along the way!
