Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Relax214890774170 contributionsDont waste your time at this cruise and dont risk your moneyWe booked to take friends on this short boat cruise. We arrived and got the the boat at San Remo wharf. The staff at the boat itself that controlled the gangway told us we couldn't board as had arrived too late but truth was we were at the gangway and boat hadnt left. In front of us they pulled the ropes and left without us after we arrived and could have boarded. They then said no refund would eb given but eventually gave us 25% refund to hold in credit for another day. Dont waste your time at this cruise and dont risk your moneyWritten 21 March 2025
- Tracey J0 contributionsAbsolutely fantastic!A fantastic day out with a great crew, great food and amazing scenery. The highlights were Skull Rock, Waterloo Bay, dolphins, seals and of course, stunning Refuge Cove. We loved the fact that passenger numbers are limited so there is plenty of room to move around the boat, ask questions of the crew and view the sights. Don’t miss this day trip, it’s worth every cent!Written 20 February 2025
- R9115SAruthc0 contributionsA whole new world. The Views were spectacular. Was a perfect sunny day to go out to see the changing colours of the ocean near Cape Woolamai. Thankyou to the captain and the crew on board !Written 22 January 2025

- josephtb20240 contributionsGreat experienceIt was so worth it! Loved the rock formations! Stood out back and held on when the boat turned around and the crew gal was right! It was like the boat was surfing! The naration of what we were seeing was very interesting. All the crew we met were top notch . Thank you for a great experience🙂Written 28 November 2024
- dbaizel0 contributionsCaptain Gets Up Close to Seals for a Pleasurable TripThis was a private excursion tour. The captain took us along the coastline narrating along the way what we are going by. He did an exceptional fine job in getting the boat up close to the seals swimming along and laying on the rocks. I got many great pictures. Not sure if it is standard part of a trip but hot coffee, tea as well as nibbles were provided. His assistants provided guidance on what was happening and narrated some biological information with regards to the seals. A great trip.Written 29 October 2024

- IanR1690 contributionsA whale 🐳 of a dayAnother fantastic whale cruise with the WCC team at the beautiful Wilson’s Promontory……super weather conditions all day helped us thoroughly enjoy the day. The Captain and crew got us onto whales for nearly the entire cruise. So much so, we stayed out later than scheduled (with everyone’s agreement) as a single juvenile insisted in circling the boat for over 30 mins to play. We had breaches, tail slapping, muggings and spy hopping…the full Monty. Would totally recommend the cruise and a huge thank you to the crew.Written 20 September 2023

This was our 4th trip with Wildlife Coast Cruises, and we will be back again. Thanks to Mike the Captain for his incredible knowledge, insight and wit. The crew were friendly and attentive, and made the day special. Even though the whales were a bit elusive (we did see a beautiful young spotted whale close up late in the day, and saw whales blowing a long way off)... the day was amazing and the scenery totally spectacular. We visited islands we had not seen on previous trips. Special diets were well catered for too. Just let them know when you book. Thoroughly recommended.

Our adventure started at San Remo where we watched the 12.00pm feeding of the Pelicans. A great close up look of a stunning bird. We then boarded our boat which was staffed by friendly helpful staff and headed around Phillip Island. Lots of room and choice of seats on the boat so we could change viewing spot without worrying about losing our position. We saw half a dozen Humpback Whales. The commentary was interesting and refreshing as she seemed as excited by the sight as we were. I don't remember her name but she had a very easy to listen to voice. The Captain also added bits which made for an informative report. We also saw a multitude of seals on Seal Rocks and enjoyed watching the seals frolicking in the water. All the water turbulence made the water turn various shades of blue and acqua. A truly stunning sight was a couple of Shy Albatrosses gliding to the side of our boat. They were so graceful and elegant. On our way back we saw a group of dolphins. Also worth mentioning is the beautiful coastline which we had not seen before from the water, Cape Woolamai with their iconic red coloured rocks. Oh yes and then the warm muffin which was well timed to warm us up just as we we were beginning to feel the cold. All up a great trip which makes you appreciative our beautiful part of the world. And special mention of the staff who were casual, friendly and make one proud to be Australia.

I love a day at sea and this one didn't disappoint. We saw two hump backed whales and circled them for about an hour to watch them breaching many times. Because it was fairly calm the boat was able to get close to the rocks and it was great to see the dramatic colours of the cliffs and the many deep caves. It made up for not seeing dolphins this trip. I am lucky not to get sea sick but many were so I advise to take medication if this is a possibility.

My mother and I had a whale pass. Fantastic value did the 5 trips and saw whales on all of them. The last 2 trips were amazing with 2 whales breaching at once and the last on a single whale giving us an hour show breaching and rolling round

Friendly crew really went out of their way & stopped longer than the cruise was meant to go for so we could see the whales for a longer time. The boat gets up really close to seal rocks & we saw lots of dolphins too. It was fairly windy out on the boat but nice & sunny.

The Seals are always so cute and normally on the Dolphin and whale cruise we don't visit the seal colony, so you're very lucky.
