It took a few years but the experience exceeded any expectation I already had. All went exactly to plan, with fun and jokes along the way. A great team, and many lovely people to share the ride with. The photos you took, and especially the timelapse which is inspiring, helped illustrate the experience to others, but there’s no substitute for being there. A day I’ll never forget. Our family joined the Yarra Valley package with breakfast on January 1, 2025, and it was an amazing experience as the first rays of light shone upon the horizon on a brand new year. The staff were incredibly kind, and a special shoutout goes to our guide, Raine, from Taiwan, who also speaks Mandarin. Our pilot, Steve Buckley, is a funny guy whose jokes kept the whole atmosphere lively. I want to mention that some people have commented about the packing of the balloon after the flight and the size of the basket relative to the number of passengers. The packing is purely voluntary, but it is a nice experience to participate in, and it is not arduous work at all. Even my 8-year-old daughter lent a hand. As for the basket, our tour had over 20 people; it was a bit tight, but certainly not to the point where you would feel uncomfortable. The breakfast buffet at Balgownie Estate was excellent and on par with a 5-star hotel. This company also has a dedicated app for information, contact, and downloading flight photos and videos, which is a nice touch.

The experience of been up in a hot air balloon , floating over the yara valley was amazing but that's the only joy of this experience. 23 people crammed into a basket was not ideal. All there had to be was 3 or 4 less and then room wouldn't have been an issue. Then when you go back for the champagne breakfast you are seated as a group, takes away any chance of making it a special experience with your partner or even family . Really took away from the outing , which you pay for and have to put a lot of effort into going to.

After several cancelations because of the weather conditions, we finally managed to go ahead with our balloon flight on the last Sunday of 2024, and it was a magical experience, the weather was perfect and Pato, the pilot and Lily, the other staff member, were absolutely amazing. A very good and knowledgeable pilot. I would highly recommend them for your ballooning experience.

The views were magnificent. The crews were very friendly and helpful. Worth the money and highly recommended. It can be very cold. Wear warm and take a cap and sunglasses

Fantastic experience from beginning to end. Wonderful ground and flight crew. Very organized. Warm and friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was very very good. Well worth the money and a highlight of our trip.

It w was a really fun flight. Great crew and great other passengers. Thoroughly recommend the company for making the flight very inclusive and fun.

We had a terrific time. Stony drove us to the balloon then passed the baton to Eddie who was a delightful and knowledgeable pilot. We were celebrating my daughter’s 21st birthday. Eddie bought Amy a glass of champagne after the flight to celebrate.

This was beyond awesome. Eddy, our Pilot did an excellent job navigating our balloon while pointing out the scenery below. The entire experience was fun. Helping to break down and store the equipment was very interesting and helped to warm us up since it was really cold outside. 🥶😃 What made this trip even more special is because it meant a lot to my husband who has a disability from a stroke. Global Ballooning has a basket designed just for people like him allowing for easy access in and out.❤️ Thanks GB for going the extra mile to make everyone feel welcome.

It was really amazing and surprising trip when we flew through the clouds! The whole experience was different and absolutely beautiful!

What a magical experience. Patto expertly guided us over the city with the help of Eddie and ground crew Bronny. We really did float above the city - wonderful views. Loved the whole trip which was made all the more enjoyable by the the Global Ballooning team injecting personality and enthusiasm.

Excellent experience! A great opportunity to see Mildura and surrounds from above, flying above the Murray and Darling Rivers, and landing adjacent to Perry Sandhills past Wentworth. You can be as involved as you want with the set up and pack up (or just watch). Very pleased to depart on time, and be fully informed along the way. Safe, secure and comfortable. The experience was very enjoyable from our reception by Theo and Rein until the end of the trip. The hot air balloon experience was breathtaking. Captain Paterson was very skilled and friendly. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend it.

One of the best experiences yet! The hot air balloon ride was truly amazing. The team at Global Ballooning was warm, welcoming, and friendly. They seem to love their job, and they were so enthusiastic and energetic too. The one-hour ride was thoroughly enjoyable, and we had a blast helping to inflate and deflate the balloon afterwards—it was a great team effort! A special thanks to our incredible pilot, Paterson Saunders (Pati), for ensuring a safe flight, teaching us the basics of how a hot air balloon works, and showing us stunning locations from high above. Despite my initial worries about the landing, it was super smooth! We booked the flight with breakfast, and the post-ride breakfast buffet and sparkling wine at the beautiful Balgownie Estate were excellent. The staff there was also friendly and welcoming, and the food was fantastic. My husband and I are definitely looking forward to going again during spring! ~Joanne & Pubudu
