Outstanding cultural tour. Our guide, Jaydyn, was very knowledgeable, friendly and patient. The areas visited were beautiful and better than described. Lunch was delicious and plentiful. Highly recommended.

We loved our tour. Jayden, our guide, was fantastic and we learned so much about Budj Bim, Tae Rak and Gunditjimara Country and history. Thank you for sharing beautiful and incredible Aboriginal culture with us, the oldest continuous living culture in the world.

Very interesting and worth the long round trip from Canberra. On pevious Christmas road trips we have been to Lake Mungo and the Brewarrina fish trap but Tae Rak was impressive in terms of its management within an IPA. Jadyn the guide was very informative regarding the colonial and pre-colonial history of the site and the koalas in the nearby eucalypt plantations.

We have wanted to visit this site for years, and it was a great experience , thank you! It was a wonderful friendly welcome from our guide, who gave us a fascinating insight into the history and culture of the people living here for thousands of years, intertwined with the amazing eel lifecycle, and the hope for the future of this ecosystem as it is cared for once again and restored by the traditional owners. The view over the wetlands and lake was beautiful and the platter was also delicious! And seeing the koala in a tree right by the visitor centre topped our visit off beautifully. Thank you!

Great spot interesting to see how big this crater is , although I think it needs a good tidy up if people are walking around the grass is 3 ft high with chance of snake bite Be careful !!

What an incredible experience. I was camping at Budj Bim National Park and took the two hour Lake Tar Rak tour. Such a warm, friendly and welcoming journey through thousands of years of geological and Cultural Knowledge. Highly recommended . Next time I will take a longer tour !

Loved the full day tour. Incredibly informative in a very beautiful landscape. Such an interesting cultural experience. The history is amazing. Included eel platter and tastings for lunch. All in all an excellent day enjoyed by all.

This is a must do experience! This 2 hour tour gives you some understanding of the complex civilisation which persisted for over 6000 years, managing food production for 1000s of people in a totally sustainable manner

We had a lovely time with Jaydon who was a very informative and patient guide. He had the perfect voice for the job - articulate and above all else I could hear him clearly despite being outdoors for much of the tour. The life cycle of the eels is fascinating, as is the history both recent and long past of the lake and its custodians. Held us all enthralled for the 2 hours despite if being a very hot day. The share platter we had at the cafe before we set off was delicious and perfect for the 4 of us. The building and general surrounds is architecturally really well done.

We loved our tour of Budj Bim. Our guide, Joey was fantastic. He obviously has passion for sharing his knowledge of the recent and distant history of the site. The work that has been done to restore the site to pre european times, ie re-establishing the lake is great to see.

Rueben was a passionate storyteller - taking us on a journey of understanding into the lives of the Gunditjmara people of the ancient Budj Bim eel trap area. He showed us how they would have lived, caring and preserving the place for future generations through all seasons. We started the day with a beautiful tasting plate of eel and by the end of the tour were in awe of these magical creatures. Thank you for the opportunity to experience a UNESCO listed site - it truly is world class!

Bucket list experience birthday gift trip. You absolutely will not regret going on the full day tour of this UNESCO listed area. I travelled to the other side of the world to visit the Orkney Islands before realising Tae Rak & Budj Bim in my own back yard was recognised as a world heritage area. What is in Australia's own backyard leaves it for dead. The mist off the water as the sun rises is special, and the learning and exposure to culture that his existed for millennia is mind blowing. "Do yourself a favour" :)

The tour was one of the most significant and informative experiences of my life. It further eroded the misleading information, that I was given at school in the 1950s, about our original inhabitants. Our gracious and personable guide, Jaydon, was a walking encyclopaedia who fundamentally enriched the Tae Rak exposure. The tasting plate at your restaurant was delicious and a great idea as well

This tour had a big impact on me. I went with not much knowledge at all about the history in that part of our country. It was enlightening and inspiring and emotional. After chewing over the amazing day I now have an extra respect for the first people of this land. I loved how the two tour guides were so knowledgeable and ready to answer any question. They were kind and thoughtful and passionate about their country. I loved every minute and would recommend this wonderful tour. The lunch was yummy too.
