This half day guided tour is a great introduction to the gravel terrain, landscapes and food producers between Beechworth and Stanley. It’s an extended version of our self-guided Fruit and Nut day ride and begins with a punchy little climb up to the fascinating Mayday Hills Asylum before following the Old Stanley Road into Stanley village. After an optional climb up to Murmungee Lookout (worth it) we’ll stop for morning tea, then head through native bushland and pine plantations before ending the ride with a smooth tarmac descent back into town, where pizza and beer awaits.

      Beechworth gravel goodness
Marty curated a gravel ride for a bunch of us roadies who hired gravel bikes for a day. Beautiful countryside. All three bikes worked flawlessly. Pub meal at Eldorado great and post ride beverages at Bridge Road Brewery to finish. A great intermission to our road riding trip.

Awesome experience with helpful, enthusiastic and knowledgeable local experts
I hired a bike from the gravel mob for a days ride in the area. The bike was excellent and had no issues at all. Marty was amazingly helpful and knowledgeable about the local area, their website has a wide variety of suggested routes and they were so friendly and happy to help.

      GREAT MOB @ GRAVEL MOB
We hired two gravel bikes and two electric bikes for three days. The bikes were high quality and extremely well maintained. We arrived to be greeted by Ian who was really helpful with sorting stuff out and sending several bike routes to me by email. The bikes were spotlessly clean; you could tell right away that they are well maintained and ready for action. Marty greeting us at the end of our three days, collected the bikes and again took great care of us. The team at GRAVEL MOB were great.

Fantastic half day bike ride and lunch
We rented the bikes and did a 35km ride to Oxley where we had lunch at a beautiful restaurant, King River Cafe. Mardy provided us with excellent bikes all in great shape, he booked the restaurant for us then came and picked us up at the end of lunch and drove us back to Beechworth. He gave great instructions, was super friendly and helpful and we had a fantastic time. It was such a beautiful scenic ride and the restaurant was fantastic. I can't recommend it more highly.
