So glad we decided to do this!
This was an amazing day! Our guide, Jennifer, was fantastic. For context, deciding to fly to South Dakota and do this tour took quite some consideration. As Australians, our exchange rate makes everything we do over here so expensive as we only get around $0.64USD for every $1.00AUD. So firstly it was very costly to fly in to Rapid City - $500AUD per person. Tours also convert to over $500AUD per person. So that's $2000AUD before any accommodation or meals - but this is something we have always wanted to do so we spent the money, hoping it would be worth it and we wouldn't regret our decision. Well, we were not disappointed! It was was everything we were hoping for. Jennifer was so friendly and knowledgeable, offering to shorten or lengthen any parts of the tour we wanted to while also taking photos of us and taking the time to point out lots of extra interesting pieces of information. If you've been wondering if this tour is worth doing, it absolutely is. It was a full day - 8:30am pick-up and 5:00pm drop-off and we saw so much. The complimentary bottled water and snacks were appreciated as we opted to not waste our time buying lunch. We wanted to use every minute to explore, photograph and appreciate the grandeur of the sites and stops. Thank you again Jennifer for a wonderful day!

        See the landmarks with Jennifer...
Jennifer was our private tour guide and she was the best! We saw everything we wanted to see...Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Sylvan Lake and Custer State Park. She was knowledgeable about all of the places we visited and so personable. If we go back, I will definitely request her again.

Fantastic tour led by a fantatic guide....
Overall, Black Hills Tour Company proves to be the best based on my experience. Without Melissa helping me out on the internet side, I would have never gotten this tour started. What can I say? Fantastic tour led by a fantastic guide!! Joel proves himself to be a total expert on the Black Hils.....in all aspects. His attention to detail, consideration toward me and my friend and the easy way he guides us through the maze that is Black Hills proves to be wonderful. When you got a great guide, it makes the tour that much easier and more enjoyable. It also helped that we had a great pleasant day to see the Black Hills. Everything helps!!! Oh yeah, when you guys read this, please tell Joel that on the day of our tour, October 4th, was also the day back in 1927, when the work on Mount Rushmore began!! Trivial?? Yeah, but that show you how completely great Joel was that day when I had to nickpik a trivia!!! Thanks for sending him to us on that day!!!

        E-bike the Badlands! A can't miss experience.
The e-bike ride through the Badlands was the highlight of our trip! I want to do it again. Melina and Kevin are the best! We had a snafu with a bike lock that they quickly rectified and even gave us a gift card to a great restaurant in Rapid City for our trouble.

Southern Black Hills Monument Tour Is Amazing
The tour was amazing. The guide, Aura, was very knowledgeable and fully covered the tour. It was a private tour for me and my wife. Never felt rushed. It was an excellent experience and we would highly recommend the tour. Our top experience in the Black Hills

        Great 1/2 day tour
The 4 of us adults thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Jennifer! We especially appreciated being able to take in the views of Needles Highway and Iron Mountain while she did the driving and took some great photos of the 4 of us. It was expensive at $870 for the 4 of us including tax. No discounts for US Veterans was a disappointment. We loved the tour but did find it pricey. We did not check other tour companies but suggest comparing prices. We had perfect weather and found Jennifer to be knowledgeable, kind and informative.

Don't miss seeing the Badlands with Joel.
To all who are contemplating how to visit the Badlands… look no further. We enthusiastically recommend the Black Hills Tour Company. Our guide, Joel Albright, met us at our hotel exactly on time and our full day adventure began. He did all the driving and shared his knowledge along the way. Joel loves the Badlands and gave us a much greater understanding and appreciation for what we were seeing. His teaching background certainly came through! We loved learning about how the badlands were formed. We happened to visit the park on an exceptionally windy day, but Joel made sure we were in safe from dangerous ledges at all times. He shared information about the local history, the geology, along with lots of fun stories to bring the Badlands alive. Joel was very kind about offering rest stops along the way; and at lunchtime Joel presented us with an exceptionally delicious picnic! What more could we (or you) ask for? We highly recommend spending a day in the Badlands with Joel Albright. You will thank us if you do.

        Good day at Badlands
Majestic views of unique and colorful rock formations from millions of years ago. It was very windy, rocky, dusty, serene, dry and warm. Well maintained roads, good road signs and plenty of trails. Beware of wildlife. Read ahead about the formation of this area through millions of years. marvel at the works of mother nature.

        What A Great Experience!
Our tour guide, Gena, was absolutely amazing. Her knowledge of the area was impressive and thoroughly entertaining. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and saw all the sights we desired. Besides great historical perspective we loved the "Gena " stories about her growing up in South Dakota. It was 5 hours that we thoroughly enjoyed. We worth the expense of a private tour.

Fantastic! Not only did we see all of the popular places but our guide Joel was amazing. He is very knowledgeable about the area and history. Joel was very friendly and fun. We are also grateful that Black Hills Tour Company was able to accommodate our dietary restrictions.

        Exceeded our expectations!
What an outstanding day! Cindy was a great guide with lots of information and stories that illuminated the history and understanding of the Black Hills area and Mount Rushmore monument. An unexpected light rain didn’t stop the experience pivoting to some creative ways to see highlights and areas of the Custer State park without having to leave the vehicle too much. Low behold, the sun came just in time to witness the awesomeness of the wildlife loop with sitings of pronghorns, a few prairie dogs, a large herd of big horn sheep hidden in the hills, and many many small herds of bison before we found a huge herd of Mommas and baby bison. The day exceeded our expectations! I’d highly recommend!!!

You Can’t Go Wrong With BLACK HILLS TOUR COMPANY
We did 5 days touring from 5 - 8 hours each day. Steve was our guide. He took us to all the spots of note, providing great background information and allowing us to spend the amount of time at each location that suited us. We were never rushed. We learned so much about the geology, the, flora, fauna, and local culture. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and by having Steve as our guide and driver were relaxed at the end of the day since we did not have to worry with a GPS, missing a turn or getting lost. We're glad we took 5 days because there was so much to see with surprises such as the missile command center and the nutrients research center. Thank you, Steve and BHTour Company. PS Setting up the tour was so easy. Great experience with Melinda who handled all of the arrangements and booking details.

        Great Southern Hills Tour!
This tour was fantastic. Cindy was the best! We went to all the places and did all the things we wanted to do in the Southern Hills. Cindy knew exactly what we should do and where we should go at places like Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse - and let us out right at the front entrance everywhere. Definitely the right choice for us!

Kevin was AWESOME! He created customized experiences that were perfect for our family, had great equipment, and provided delicious food and drink. He knows the best local spots, gave great advice and recommendations, and went “above and beyond” to make our tour a great experience. Best of all, he was extremely flexible and friendly and great at sharing his extensive knowledge of local history, wildlife, and geology in an entertaining and engaging way. We had a blast!

My family really enjoyed the ride through Badlands National Park! The ride was amazing and I can't think of a better way to see the park. Kevin was awesome at sharing details we did not know. He set up a great picnic for us at the end of the year that just capped off our experience. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone wanting to visit the Badlands. My kids are 13 and 15. They managed to complete the entire ride.

Riding bikes through Badlands NP is an excellent way to experience this beautiful nature. Kevin was an excellent guide explaining the history and evolution of the rock structures. He also spotted wildlife much faster than us because he knows where they roam. He also gave us tips on various other sights to see in the area. Kevin was great!! The bike ride was 23 miles up and down hills and sometimes flat. Not too difficult but still challenging. Lunch and snacks and water were provided. Overall great experience we would highly recommend!

The highlight of my trip, biking in the Badlands. Amazing scenery, fresh air, sunshine and exercise. I was able to enjoy the freedom of the desert, knowing that the biking equipment was good and that regular checks at viewpoints along the way ensured that the experience was safe. I would love to do this tour again some time.

Biking through the Badlands is the ultimate way to see hear and feel the magnitude and beauty of it. Kevin was awesome. We never would have seen the baby mountain sheep if he did not show us, and they were amazing. Also the sound of the prairie dogs cheering us on ( or at least that's how we interpreted their chirping) was a complete highlight. We capped our adventure with an wonderful lunch with a view that can't be topped. Highly recommended for all ages and bike abilities.

We had high expectations for this bike tour and they were all exceeded! Kevin was an amazing guide. He had so much knowledge of the area, drove us around before we started biking to look for wildlife, and took great pictures of us biking. It was amazing to not have to worry about any logistics and still get an amazing ride in - bikes, helmets, water, snacks and even lunch after were all provided. Highly recommend to those who enjoy biking!
