- Curious5431533205400A truly once in a lifetime memorable trip!!!! Highly recommended!!!!!This was an absolutely amazing tour, the staff were genuine, down to earth, friendly and the boat was well equipped. It had a genuine family friendly feel to it. It was not over crowded but open, clean, tidy and the staff welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. We were able to see whales with their babies who even came really close to the boat allowing us once in a life time opportunities to see these beautiful mammals in there natural environment doing what they love.
- Traveler1128558250000Whale Watching with FriendsGreat day out we saw maybe 6-8 Mummas & their Calves - some just swimming, some just resting & 2 came over for a look & gave us a few good tail slaps. Staff were so helpful, especially as one friend brought her Granddaughter with a pram
- 291raghuramm00Whale and Dolphin watching cruiseTh experience was really amazing. Staff onboard were really good and made sure we had a great experience.
- Yesskakaka00Would recommend! Can't recommend these guys enough! Great day full of unforgettable experiences with a genuinely lovely and knowledgeable crew.
- Jaq B00Once in a lifetime experienceWe gave up counting the number of whale mum, bub and escorts, and their breeches. Once in a lifetime experience. And not to forget the fur seals and dolphins.
- NicoleFx00Wow wow wow!WOW! What a morning we had! As we left the bay there was a dolphin playing around then within 20 mins of setting sail we had found a few whales! We watched these for a little while then headed to see seals on an island, as we started to head back to the harbour there was some activity on the horizon so the boat turned round & we went in search of these whales. Well we wasn’t disappointed! Whales we breaching, tail slapping etc etc. Really great morning, lovely informative crew & clean tidy boat! Well worth a visit!
- Passenger3861636242400Good trip, though unlucky and did not see whalesThe crew were very friendly and constantly made rounds to check on anybody that was feeling a little seasick. Unfotunately we weren't able to see any whales up close as we were slightly off-season, though we did see some dolphins that came up to play, swimming around the boat. We also saw lots of seals basking on the rocks and diving into the sea. We were offered a second chance to come back on another day free of charge as part of their guarantee, but did not have time to go back on our trip.
- L2693JKphild00Great boat trip adventureThe boat was amazing, there was a bit of swell once out the bay but my daughter had a great time at the front watching the waves. We saw dolphins, seals and a couple of whales reasonably up close, and deployed the sail on the way back. Great team with good sense of humour and loved the sea shanties played. Whale ale was a nice celebratory touch. Overall a great boat trip adventure.
- 419karynw00A MOST ENJOYABLE, INFORMATIVE 3-HOUR CRUISE!5My husband and I had a great 3-hour cruise, especially as the weather was perfect! The boat’s captain was very informative and the crew kept checking that we were okay and added extra information. We got to see a male dolphin by himself and a pod of them a little later. We were lucky and observed a mother whale and her calf and another mother and calf with her companion. There was also viewing of some seals on rocks and several of them dived into the sea. The boat provided jackets and blankets as once you got out into open water, it did get a bit cool.
- lslynewlands00Imagine tours "whale watchingBeautiful 3 hours on the water We took the whale watching trip. The weather and sea was a treat. The captain had a lot of history to share with us and his off siders were very friendly and happy to have a chat. We were able to spot 🐋 whales on several occasions and dolphins 🐬 also while we were travelling to the open sea. My wife and I could not have asked for more. As a bonus, the captain turned off the engines and put up the sails as we returned to Nelson Bay. Great part of our day
- 660kathryng00Wonderful whale experienceWhat a wonderful experience and day out. The crew were very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and experienced. They were very adept at keeping pace with the whales, whilst maintaining a good distance, while the whales were diving which enabled us to have many sights when they surfaced.
- 930susanr93000Mother and baby - what a show!Another great cruise aboard Imagine. We were a little early for the southern migration but we saw a mother and baby frolicking for about ten minutes. Also saw the local dolphins, seals and birds. The team on board were fantastic as usual. Mark has incredible local knowledge and is very down to earth and friendly. I think Jane was the skipper. There was a bit swell heading out and quite windy but she handled the boat magnificently.
- kerris61900Bucket List tripHad a fabulous time. The guys ( Frank, Mark and Shannon) were amazing. I have some serious health issues at the moment and they could not not have been nicer and more accommodating. Whales werent very forthcoming today but was offered another cruise in October when the southern migration is in full swing so will definitely be there. Thanks again guys for an amazing day. What a way to kick off my bucket list. Highly recommended. My son and I will see you soon
- barilyn00Great trip and great waetherWe went whale watching late August 2023 and had a marvellous day. We saw several whales, but only the backs of them. Whales are not always cooperating,
- Onceawaitress00Imagine Yacht trip 10/10Wonderful experience! The captain and crew are really knowledgable and helpful. They made a big effort with my 83 year old Mum, ensuring she had a windproof jacket and blanket from their stock, helping her move about the boat and making sure she was ok. The boat is fantastic and cuts through the water gliding along side the whales (at a safe distance) so you follow them along as they swim up the coast. There are drinks and snacks onboard and loos. You may get splashed but it's all part of the great experience.

We did the Express Dolphin watch tour of Nelson Bay, The whole team are very knowledgeable and friendly. We where very lucky to see playful dolphins that actually swam and interacted with our boat, creating a very memorable family experience.

Thoroughly enjoyed this tour out of Nelson Bay. Excellent vessel and very knowledgeable and friendly crew. Seeing any animal in its own habitat is always special, but seeing a few pods’ natural behaviour was just incredible. Well worth it!

Really enjoyed this trip on a smaller sail boat. We were able to move around the boat freely and go out on the dry net and the wet net to swim near the dolphins. Saw lots of dolphins and some penguins. The staff were friendly and helpful and this boat was a great choice if you want something more intimate. My 7 year old also enjoyed it, particularly the dry net.

We had a really great time, the boat was nice and small compared to most other tours with not too many people; the team were lovely and very informative and above all they keep an eye on the dolphins’ wellbeing, which was great to see.
Thoroughly recommend, thanks all!

This dolphin watch was on the smaller Envision boat. It took us out towards the Nelson Bay entrance where they found a pod of dolphins for us to observe and photo. We were told that this was one of several pods within the bay that never really go out of the bay into open water.
We did leave the bay and go into open water stopping by several islands and learning about the species of plants and animals on them.
On the way back into the bay we encountered another pod of dolphins.
It was a fun trip and a good way to finish off our last day in the Nelson Bay area
