- ADRK9200Well run dolphin watching tripSadly no dolphins the day ai went out but the crew, the commentary and the weather were fantastic. I managed to see dolphins just off the rocks at Blenheim beach that same day just by chance!
- Excursion6427282256900Great dolphin cruiseI had a great time on the dolphin cruise. The crew was very welcoming and enthusiastic. However, due to heavy rain the day before, the water in the bay wasn't crystal clear and we couldn't fully enjoy the view. From this, I have learned that it is important to obtain water and weather forecasts before planning a boat ride so that visitors can choose the best time to go.
- OnAir5093212557200Didn't recieve promised refundNot happy. Daughter and I couldn't attend the cruise with our family for medical reasons, contacted and was promised a partial refund. Never happened.
- Jan C00No Dolphins but A Relaxing, Scenic TourUnfortunately we didn’t see any dolphins but the cruise around the Bay was beautiful. The crew were very friendly and we even had a bit longer on the trip as the captain was trying very hard to find some dolphins.
- 838marjat00Not what we expectedWe didn’t see dolphins, it is nature so we understand that. It was a pity that there was no information during the tour. We go along the beautiful coastline and see some birds, it would be nice if they tell what are the names of the places and the birds. It was said that the tour is 1,5 hour. But we leave later and return earlier, so it was 1 hour and a quart. The weather was good and the sea not to rough. It is a pity that they give not a guarantee on whale or dolphin sightings as the companies in Hervey Bay do. It would be nice if you give your travellers a second chance to go on another tour.
- Marcus K00Sunset river cruiseHad a great time on the cruise, the weather was fantastic with the skipper informative and funny. The boat only holds no more than 20 people and arrive early to get a good spot. The boat plays music along the trip, with a playlist very similar to my own. I think it would be good to hire as a group charter
- SailorCaroline00Magical experienceProfessional and welcoming. Boat was well maintained. We took the 3pm 1.5hr tour. A little look around Jervis Bay then watched the dolphins frolic for an hour. Our 4yr old and 11mth old loved it. Magical experience!
- andreaD1967OK00Dolphin cruiseWell run boating adventure and we were so lucky to be accompanied by a school of dolphins for quite a long time
- Montana F00Not what we expectedWe were on the small boat with no toilets, our family was split up and we weren’t able to sit together which was disappointing.. other families were also split up. We weren’t able to stand up and move around, our kids could barely see the water. Unfortunately no dolphins to see that day as well. The other boats were larger and had indoor seating and toilets, this would have been more comfortable for our kids to escape the wind and also had two levels to move around in.
- nisheeth s00Amazing Dolphin watchThe trip was good. We saw dolphins along with glimpse of whales. The team members were friendly. Kids enjoyed the activity.
- youngmink88200Took a risk! was worth it!We read reviews about no Dolphins, but we took a risk! Lucky!!! We saw many Dolphins! It was a beautiful and a lucky day!
- 912luaa00BEAUTIFUL DAY AND CRUISE....BUT NO DOLPHINSIt was a perfect day, and absolutely ideal conditions for dolphin watching...however unfortunately, there were no dolphins to be seen on our cruise. Richard was absolutely wonderful and apologetic for not having been able to locate any dolphins for our group to see.
- U1240ABchristinem00Trip cut short by people arriving lateThe crew and boat were really great, however, it was disappointing that our departure was delayed by half an hour because of people turning up late. This would have been okay if our cruise was not cut down to an hour. We spent the half hour tied up to the jetty. We had paid for an hour and a half dolphin watching cruise. We did see a few dolphins and the crew were lovely.
- shristyk202300Fun experienceWe had a great experience, very good customer service. It was a great ride, we did get to see so many dolphins, kids were very happy.
- harishan202300Jervis Bay Dolphin CruiseIt was amazing, nice experience seen lot of dolphins good services provided. good place to see with family

My partner and I booked a whale watching tour and went out on their boat last Saturday at 1pm. It wasn't a whale watching trip at all - it felt more like a tour of the harbour beaches within Jervis Bay (and we also stopped to look at some rock formations).
We went out to the harbour bay mouth and searched for whales for around 5 minutes then headed back inside. We were really disappointed - as felt that the "whale watching" aspect of the tour was practically non-existent. We saw no whales. The weather wasn't great (strong winds) which may explain why we didn't venture further out of the harbour, but if this was the case I think they should have offered the option to reschedule the tour for those that actually wanted to look for whales rather than pay $69 for a trip around the harbour.

You have to be a bit skeptical when the Captain postscripts his introduction of the tour with the words "the whale whisperer". Wow how this cynic was proved wrong. We've been on several previous cruises and seen a number of whales (as you'd expect) but nothing, nothing could prepare you for this cruise.
Again I was a bit skeptical when the Captain said whales for 306 degrees. So I looked where we had come from - spouts and whales surfacing were as plentiful behind as to the front and sides. Amazing.
To top this off the staff are brilliant and took the time to look after their customers rather than look at the sight of more whales than they'd seen on any other day in 11 years!

We booked for 14 people yesterday but when we arrived at the wharf - disaster! The trip was oversubscribed due to COVID-19 and they would organise a refund. As we began to walk away, Master Kevin decided he would arrange a private trip for us.
It was truly magical - straight out to Point Perpindicular and we caught our first sight of migrating whales about 50 meters in front.
We cruised again and sighted three more whales as we hugged the sheer cliffs on the portside.
A quick peek inside the amazing caves and we made our way back to the wharf, but we weren’t quite done yet.
Master Kevin (or was it Ernie 🤣) took us to a point where we got up close and personal with dolphins at play.
✔️ bucket list done and dusted. What an amazing unplanned adventure.

Absolutely great afternoon on Jervis Bay Wild whale .atching Cruise this afternoon .
The whales put on an excellent show but Wayne and his crew enabled us to have excellent views and then on the way home he manoeuvred the boat so that we had spectacular views of a large pod of dolphins

Wonderful experience! It took a while to find any whales when we got past the heads, but when we started seeing them, the captain stayed out a lot longer than timed for us. We saw about 8 whales!
And on the way out he stopped when we saw seals, dolphins & even penguins!!!
Everyone was very courteous & stayed sitting so all could see.
Highly recommend it

Amazing experience and thrilling to see the humpback whales up so close! Boat was very clean and comfortable and we cannot speak highly enough about the crew, Greg, Kevin and Sonia. They were very professional, friendly and accommodating. We also got a great discount on our tickets for staying in the area which was greatly appreciated. We will definitely be back again soon! Thank you Wild!

Thankyou for the Positive Feedback. As we move forward with "The Winter Whale Season" sightings will intensify along what we call "The Humpback Highway". Port Venture "The Whale Whisperer" is our purpose built viewing platform and gives an excellent opportunity to get up close and personal with these magnificent creatures. We shall pass on your comments to the crew.
We were delighted to share "The Ultimate Jervis bay Expedition" with you as our guests.

Wild were professional, covid safe and friendly. Unfortunately there were no whales and a big swell and strong winds , however at no time did I feel unsafe. We tried but they didn’t want to play with us on this particular day. Luckily on our way back we got dolphins 🐬 so it felt like it was with it. I will go again in 2021 but at the right time of year.

Thankyou for your positive feedback. The two things we can not control is the weather and the wildlife...... As we get towards the end of the whale season the sightings will reduce but we are hopeful that there are still whales around. Moving forward as the weather improves we shall be able to go to sea and venture out to "The Humpback Highway" to get up close and personal with these magnificent mammals. We Endeavour everytime to offer "The Ultimate Jervis Bay Expedition"!

I think the tour company was dishonest to take the boat out on 22 September. The weather forecast was for 25kn south easterly winds. From the moment we got on the boat the crew were telling us it would be rough and whales would be difficult to see. None visible in the bay. The attempt to go past the heads to “the whale Highway” in the ocean was completely unsuccessful due to the size of the waves. Turning the boat around was quite exciting. The tour should have been cancelled. The only reason it wasn’t canceled was because most of the passengers on the boat were part of a large tour group which no doubt would have been unable to rebook. No photos to load becaus3 nothing to see on this tour. Not happy Jan!

Had a great morning. There was a bit of a swell on the way out so it was quite exciting. On the way out there were seals and the skipper turned the boat around so that we all got a good view. Then there were the whales. We think three of them - gave us a good show. Again the skipper went above and beyond, following them for a good half hour. On the way back we met a pod of dolphins that also gave us a good show, swimming along with the boat. Fabulous trip.

Staff very good and weather was fine but sadly only saw the tail of one whale from a distance and waited around where they were supposed to surface but didn't happen. Not cheap and staff said not many whales seen on recent trips as we left which was not encouraging.
I have been on a couple of whale tours here and on the Gold Coast and have been disappointed both times.
I realize sightings are not guaranteed but would not bother spending good money to go again.

I'm planning to go for this experience in May 2018. What's the probability of seeing whales.
If we don't get to see, any alternate places that they take us to?

Whales go north in June and July and return October, November. The return trip they bring their calves and come closer to land and take their time.
