See the stunning Columbia River George by bike and foot on this guided half-day tour. In Portland, you'll be outfitted with a bike and helmet and driven from the city center to the historic National Scenic Highway, where you’ll take a relaxed 10-mile (16-km) ride. Along the way, you'll hop off your bike for sort hikes to misting waterfalls.
What to Expect
Meet your guide at a downtown Portland bike shop and board a van for your morning or afternoon half-day trip to the magnificent Columbia River Gorge.

After a 45-minute drive to the Oregon-Washington border and the country's oldest National Scenic Highway, you’ll start your ride. The 10-mile (16-km) guided peddle will take you along gentle hills of evergreen forests on the Gorge’s National Scenic Highway, the country’s first.

The guide will lead your small group, which will stop along the way for snacks and leisurely hikes to the Gorge’s celebrated waterfalls, where can wade in their refreshing water and snap photos of their spray. Look for birds of prey, including the national emblem of the United States, the bald eagle.

Your 5-hour tour will return you to Portland at lunch or dinner time, depending on your trip.

A lot of the gorge is closed due to the fire. The tour had to move to trails farther east in the gorge. A longer drive, but beautiful falls and bike ride.
