      Totally worthwhile.
The crew were very knowledgeable and Dan, our bus driver, was excellent. The only fly in the ointment was the morning tea. The “muffins” were undercooked pancakes which no one could finish. Great lunch, boat trip, so overall deserved the rating.

      A wonderful experience
An amazing day out, with a knowledgeable crew who did their best to make sure that everybody had a good time and the opportunity to see the seals, the albatross and other wildlife. Following on to Port Arthur was extremely interesting. A good day out

      A Must To Do
If you do nothing else in Australia, this is the one to do. Our day was perfect with calm waters. The ride to get there is fine and the employees are extra nice. We had dolphins, seals, and birds right up to the boat. We also were able to go inside a cave in our boat. BEWARE: if you get seasick, this will get to you. Even with the calm sea, the lady by us threw up half of the ride.

      Big day out
Cruise was fantastic, 3 hours experiencing dolphins, seals, birds etc and the most rugged coastline in the sth of Oz. Well worth the cost and the staff were v knowledgeable and fun as well. Port Arthur was interesting and well worth a visit.

Exciting adventure boat tour with fantastic tidbits of knowledge and nature spotting, followed by interesting tour around Port Arthur. We were well looked after and catered for.

Do yourself a favour and book this. It's got something for everyone
Heading to Port Arthur and doing the Tasman Island cruise, you’re in for a brilliant experience. Port Arthur is absolutely fascinating the history really comes to life as you walk around, and there's so much to take in. I truly needed more time. You get a real sense of the desolate isolation that would have been experienced here. And the harsh unrelenting cold conditions. The garden is immaculate, supporting the breathtaking views. World heritage listed for a reason. The Tasman Island cruise is fascinating with towering sea cliffs and the chance to spot seals and dolphins and the tour guides we had Lily and Lachlan had a wealth of information to share. True eco warriors and I truly loved that. I feel the cold, so my hot tip is rug up! The weather can be unpredictable , and the wind can feel like ice picks smashing through your face. Layers are your friend.

      Must Do
Best side trip ever. Knowlegable guides, good boats. We had a thoroughly enjoyable few hours. Was great to see the waterfall, massive sea cliffs, and wildlife. Would recommend this to everyone.

Amazing little cruise and the views are great. Good to go with the little kids too.
Oh my God, My trip wouldn't be better than this cruise. Amazing little cruise. Our pilot was amazing (Jimmy). We travelled with 2 yo and 9 yo, they loved it. Our pilot suggested us to sit at the back of the boat and this was the perfect seat with the little one. No sea sickness, not much movements from the cruise at the back. Amazing views for the adventure and nature lovers. We spotted lots of dolphins. Overall wonderful experience. I would suggest the cruise company to get more choices in for the lunch menu. Fish and chips were amazing too. Must do experience.

A day of thrills and reflection
The cruise was top class. Safe but exciting thanks to the skill of the helmsman. We were lucky to have a calm day and the boat was able to get so close to the shore we were almost touching the seals as they basked in the sun. The trip to Port Arthur was a sobering experience. It is a beautiful place where bad things happened and the site guardians don't hesitate to "tell it like it was" so the visitor can understand the full horror of what took place.

      EXCELLENT - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
A superb trip. The fast boat trip is epic, and a fantastic opportunity to see the coast line and wildlife (we saw whales, dolphins, three species of seal, albatross etc). BUT -this is not Disneyland; your are out at sea and it can get rough and cold, and the wildlife is not tame - it may not be there! Good also that the crew are respectful of the wildlfe in terms of distances etc. Commentary by the crew is informative and respectful. Port Arthur Site is excellent, bit worth doing some background reading on historical context etc to appreciate it more.

      Incredible wildlife and scenery.
We saw up to 20 Humpback Whales performing all their tricks. Pods of Dolphins, Seals Albatross and stunning land and seascapes. An absolutely unforgettable experience. Very friendly and knowledgeable crew. Could not recommend the trip highly enough.

      Best customer support
They are a dream to schedule with! They took awesome care. Heavy storms blew us out so they had to cancel the boat ride to keep us safe, but the customer service is amazing! You want the Pennicott folks just for the ease of booking alone. Those folks have it together!

      Cold but fun.
Rug up if you go mid winter as we did. Sites were beautiful and it was fun to see the seals. But we were filed to the bone by the time we got back.

I was not quite lucky with the weather and the tour could not go the full length or into caves. The brochure says that it is a three hour cruise but in fact it is only two hours because the bus transfer from Port Arthur General Store to the Jetty plus boarding takes up one hour.
The cliffs are spectacular and I could take some great photos from the speeding boat as I sat in an end-seat in the middle and could take photos sitting down. We saw some seals and dolphins and bird life: cormorants and the rare albatross. If you want to see seals I recommend the Maria Island and Ile de Phoque Cruise though. I would have liked it if the boat had stopped a few times more for the cliffs.
The going was at times a bit rough but I liked that - just some more time would have been nice. Nobody got seasick. They gave us Ginger Tablets. The two guides were very funny and gave us excellent information. The toilet on board is highly appreciated. I did get a bit cold towards the end but that was my fault - they tell you to wear warm clothes. Their long red gown is very valuable that you do not get wet on the lower part of your body.

My girlfriend and i did the morning cruise from Port Arthur, what a great experience!

The scenery was truly epic, the trip was very well planned, plus we saw so many Dolphins, Seals and Birds.

The whole experience was fantastic, our bus driver was excellent, the boats were very impressive, the trip was awesome, but the real standout was the staff, in particular our skipper Gary. He was passionate, happy, funny, entertaining and his commentary was so professional and informative, and he and the deckhand were at all times conscious of everyone being comfortable, safe and having a good time.

    Overall 5 stars

The boat driver was knowledgeable and helpful. The vessel was comfortable yet exciting and the driver took us closer to the dolphins each time he saw them. The girl helping lauckie ( Jo?) was attentive to seat belts and suggestions about photo opportunities. Of course the scenery was as marvellous.

This was definitely one of my fave tours while in Tasmania! We did the arvo tour and we were blessed with lovely weather !To see the ruggedness of that part of the Port Arthur coastline was astounding. Huge craggy cliffs with caves and inlets. The seals and the dolphins put on a swim show for us, the dolphins riding the bow wave never gets boring!
A few speedy bits which where met with screams of fun and delight! ( Mostly mine!)
The staff were lovely, friendly, amusing and determined to have you get the best out of this tour.
I highly recommend to sit at the front if you want a bumpy ride!!!! 😁
Ps the boat floor can get wet at the front take minimum stuff guys you really don't need it

What an incredible day! We were lucky enough to have Jo & Andrew as our deckhands who were brilliant - both energetic and enthusiastic about this stunning part of the world. Their knowledge of not only the area and it’s history but also all of the local wildlife was unparalleled. They continuously checked in with everyone as it was a bit of a rough day on the water and even retrieved another passenger’s runaway beanie from the ocean. We were fortunate enough to see seals, a couple of albatrosses and even a couple of pods of humpback whales! The scenery was absolutely stunning and being able to see Tasman Island as well as the east and west coasts was absolute treat. Highly recommend!

This is an experience not to be missed. We were lucky enough to be on the girl power boat with Lily and Jo. Lily did an excellent job of navigating the beautiful coastline of sea cliffs and caves and the exciting Southern Ocean swell. We were well looked after by deckhand Jo. Both Lily & Jo gave interesting commentary of the area and pointed out wildlife as they saw.
Thanks so much and go girls!!

Lily and Josh were a very professional crew, they gave us clear instructions (and even provided very effective motion sickness pills), no one on board was ill. The views were amazing and the skilful management of the boat meant that all passengers had good views.
    Thoroughly recommended.

Fabulous 3 hour cruise around the spectacular Tasman Peninsula coast in small but very stable rigid inflatable craft. Crew were attentive and knowledgeable, and the commentary was very informative. Spray jackets provided, but dress warmly, the wind can be very chilly even in summer. We were fortunate to get the whole experience including an almost-complete circuit of Tasman Island - waves and weather may not always allow this. We saw seals and plenty of birdlife, including the rare shy albatross, wonderful experience.

We had a most wonderful 3 hours on this tour. It was breathtaking. The landscape is something to behold. Dolphins chased us the whole way and the water is so clear you could see them well below the waterline. The team made us feel safe and were well educated ... the stories kept coming for the whole time.
The powerful boat was fun to ride in - and we played around for a bit swerving in amongst the shoreline.
I would absolutely recommend this tour for all ages.
My hubby did feel a little sea sick when we were bobbing up and down (not driving) and so I'd recommend some sea sick tablets an hour before you jump onboard. They do give you tabs onboard, but if you're prone to motion sickness take them well before you get onboard.

This is a fantastic boat trip. Great scenery along the way, the guide on the boat was very informative and spoke throughout the trip, explaining things about what you see and about the area and history, was really knowledgeable. Boat stops and lets you take photos and get up to walk around for better shots, circles around so both sides get to see. Run very well, a beautiful part of the world, and this trip is defintetly worth seeing
