Our family of two teenagers, three adults (one aged 70+) really enjoyed our experience with Freycinet Adventures.

We did an sunset kayak across Coles Bay to the National Park, and the scenery was stunning. We hadn’t had much experience kayaking and the instruction we received made it very easy to get the hang of. The double sea kayaks felt very stable compared to my experience of conventional/river kayaks.

Our guides Rob and Tayla were very welcoming and a wealth of information about the Aboriginal and European history of the area and we were fortunate to see wildlife including a sting ray and a sea eagle. The paddle home after our refreshments was stunning.

While our tour was in very calm weather, we had originally booked in a tour for the previous day which was cancelled because of high winds at a more sheltered location near Moulting Lagoon. The decision to postpone this tour turned out to be very wise as the winds built up as the day progressed. We appreciated the ease with which Freycinet Adventures rescheduled our booking.

Thanks for a wonderful and memorable evening!

We hired an aqua taxi to take us to Hazard beach and made the short walk over to Wineglass bay beach from there. The taxi ride was about 25 minutes each way although it got windy so coMing back was an Adventure with a capital A!

Our skipper, Taz, was very personable and gave us some great tips and did a great job piloting the stable and safe boat.

The walk across to the nearly deserted beach in Wineglass Bay took about 35 min on mostly flat ground. The only tricky part was the scramble up and over the sand dune at the start of the trek-which is pretty steep and has boards embedded -we wore hiking shoes for that then flip flops for the boardwalk and packed sandy trail-a pretty easy walk overall.

There’s a bathroom over at wineglass bay but nothing else so bring along wAter and anything else you may need.

Cost of water taxi for us was $AUD 60/person for the round trip.

This is a must do if you are visiting Coles Bay.
We took the 8:30 am paddle, the water was a little choppy to start, however the sea kayaks are all the gear supplied is top quality and easy to handle.
Tour guides were excellent and inspired confidence and had a good knowledge of the area.
Magnificent sea level views of the mountains and as the morning progressed the weather improved.
The half way beach stop provided not only a range of teas and coffee but Milo with a MARSHMELLOW as well, ya cant beat that!
Altogether a great experience, easy to book and well worth the money.
We shall return and spend longer in this great place.

We had perfect weather during the twilight kayak the show cased Oyster Bay. We want to especially thank you Luke who was our guide for the tour who allowed us to take our time and soak in the sights and sun rays. It made us feel like we had the whole bay to ourselves. To see the three mountains across Oyster Bay during the perfect sunset was just spectacular.
Thank you Freycinet Adventures and thank you most to Luke.

What an amazing fun adventure. A must do if in the area. Our guides Earl and Cain were brilliant. Patient and great knowledge of the area beyond just kayaking. We had a very diverse group and skill level, and they handled each of us with care and professionalism. Highly recommend.

Magical view of The Hazards. The tandem kayaks were super stable. We had a bit of a swell and I felt the stability of them even when the swell caught us side on sometimes. We caught a head wind on the way back to base but Leah (our guide) was really good as she saw I was falling behind so she attached a tow to my kayak. We have 3 kids (ages 7/10/13) and they thoroughly enjoyed the bumps with the swell. I even saw a large draughtboard shark as the water was crystal clear and a resident sea eagle. The snacks & hot drinks gave us the extra energy for our paddle back. Highly recommend it to anyone including families. The company’s safety first attitude definitely puts you at ease especially when you are caught with the challenging conditions towards the end.

A birthday/Christmas present for my dad (or a thinly veiled excuse for a chance to go for a paddle myself) we had an awesome evening on the water with the team from Freycinet Adventures. The view from the water is simple breathtaking and presents a great opportunity to see things from a different perspective. We found ourselves pointing things out we saw on our hike up Mount Amos earlier that morning. The length of the tour is perfect, we managed to get around a huge chunk of the bay, hugging the coastline, with enough energy the paddle back across to the beach at the end of it. 100% would book again, perhaps in the morning to see things in a different light.

This activity was awesome. We had a perfect weather afternoon. The water was calm and crystal clear. It was lovely being on the water as the sun was setting.
The tour was full. The two guides were really friendly and knowledgeable and kept everyone together. We haven't kayaked before and would class ourselves as unfit. We managed fine.
Expect to get a little bit wet. You wear a 'skirt' over yourself attached to the kayak to avoid much water getting in but my paddling technique meant I was constantly splashing myself and my partner oops! Also we caught a little wave (tiny tiny wave) in to shore and ended up getting a bit splashed and soaked so would recommend a change of clothes. Highly recommended this activity if you're in the area!!
