      Adventure, fun, warm and cold!
Jodie was a top tour guide. So much knowledge and you could hear her very well. Jodie gave us lots of tips on how to enjoy our day and how to save time to make the most of the day. It was an adventure packed day for a 59 year old woman and her 60 year old husband. You do need to be fit to enjoy the day. Wear comfortable shoes and layer your clothing, the caves were cold but a must see. The walks were warm, a very beautiful day for us. Thank you!

      Great tour
Wonderful tour. Jodi was great; fun and knowledgable. The stops and activities felt well planned as there is a rhythm between the forest and the caves.

      Highly Recommended :)
This tour is well recommended. This day-tour was well worth the $396 for a couple (us). We took it on Sun 1 Dec 2024. We took the bus tour 9 hours round trip, so that we did not have to drive (this day, anyway). Pickup was very near our hotel (Salamanca, Hobart), at 10 to 8 sharp. We were the last pickup, so we left immediately with 12 people on board. The driver was a local Aussie / Tassie, and had a lot of the history which he shared (with jokes, of course). Thank you, mate. First stop was breakfast at Banjo's in Kinston (own cost). Then the Tahune Forest Walk (highly recommended). Then the Hastings Caves (highly recommended). The Thermal Springs (at Hastings Caves) was NOT included, and no time allowed anyway. Then stopped at a Franks Cider Bar and Café (we purchased the Cider taste paddle, and the Apple pie and ice cream was on the house!). Then return to Hobart, 5pm. Tassie Tours Tasmania has purchased the tour, and now operates it (and many others). We had one complaint: The bus was really old - we called it "Shake, Rattle, Rock 'n Roll" ! It was a rough ride. Tassie Tours - time to upgrade this bus. Please.

      Worth the Drive
Well worth the 2-hour drive. The guided tour was very interesting and informative. The guides were lovely and friendly with a good sense of humor, which made the tour even more enjoyable. Plenty of photo opportunities throughout the 30 minute or so tour of the caves.

Not to be missed this was exceptional tour!
Highly recommend this tour it was amazing and I booked after reading the other 5 star reviews. I went with my son who is 20 and he loved it too. Our tour guide Nathan was exceptional. Right from pickup he was amazing. He was very personable, informative and really engaged with the group. He made everyone feel included and I noticed he chatted to everyone. He also is extremely knowledgeable and has a real passion for best hikes and walks in Tasmania and also native trees. He was just as excited as the group when we reached the different locations. The highlights for us were definitely the caves, the air walk and the swinging bridges walk. Just do this tour!!!

Hastings Caves, Tahune and Huon Valley Full Day Tour from Hobart on Aug 09, 2024.
Nathan was our Tour guide and was well versed on the sights we visited. He was also patient when we failed to arrive at our pickup after my wife developed a stomach upset. I contacted the Tour Operator and Nathan returned after collecting the other guests to collect me. Everything went smoothly thereafter, and I enjoyed the tour greatly. Thank you, Nathan.

      Fabulous Tour
Had an awesome day, beautiful lanscapes, our tour guide Nathan was exceptional. Only 2 others on the tour with us, so it was like having a private tour. Caves were great, cold and the tour guide sang for us, to demonstrate the echo in the caves. Beautuful singing voice! Lots of walking and driving in between but Nathan kept us entertained. Stopped for lunch at Kermandie Hotel in Port Huon, was a nice break. I had the salmon, which was lovely. I was a bit nervous about the Airwalk but we were kept entertained by Nathan chatting to everyone. Thank you for a lovely day, well worth it and will recommend to everyone.

Great day out, some fitness level needed as the caves have some steep stairs
Great day out. Interesting cave full of good stories and a nice thermal pool even though we decided not to swim in it. The tahune airwalk was good and we even went for another walk after, to the swinging bridge. Our guide Nathan was knowledgeable and very passionate about showing us tassie!

      Amazing day out!
We had an amazing day on this tour! Nathan was an excellent guide - and we felt looked after from the get go! Really appreciated a message the day before the tour to confirm the time he would pick us up from our hotel. Nathan was positive, professional, and funny, and added a great deal of value to our day. It was a long day, but perfect number of stops along the way. The Hastings Caves were incredible - a must see - and well run by a knowledgeable guide. The Tahune AirWalk was also great, with an optional 3km walk over two swinging bridges which was a lot of fun too. Would highly recommend to people of all ages (just consider there are a fair few stairs in the caves, but we were guided at an easy pace) - a must do if visiting Hobart or wanting to see more of Tassie’s south!

      SPECTACULAR
This was a fantastic, memorable tour. Our guide Malcolm was extremely knowledgeable and had a marvellous sense of humour. Thank you Malcolm for making it such fun. Hastings Caves were as impressive as I remember them as a small child. The Tahune airwalk was just stunning. Annnnd....I saw the Cartela boat after 30 years! Smaller group tours are definitely the way to go. Highly recommend. I hope you had a lovely dinner Malcolm.

One Fabulous Day of Family History, thanks to Tours around Tasmania
Jess from Tours around Tasmania helped me put together a private tour for my eight cousins and me, to celebrate the 200th anniversary of our ancestors arrival in Hobart. I had some ideas, but she made our day happen. I am in awe of Jess' enthusiasm, the way nothing was too much trouble for her, and how she went 'above-and-beyond' my expectations, even finding the location of old family gravestones for us to visit. She made sure everything I wanted us to see and do in the tour was included in the itinerary. Then she found Gerard and a clean and comfortable bus to transport us around Hobart, following in our ancestors' footsteps for the day. Gerard kept us to the itinerary, entertaining us along the way with wonderful stories about times past. Thank you, Jess and Gerard, for a fabulous day.
