- SarahAU0 contributionsFantastic private tour for those on a cruiseLovely day for everyone involved, Sue was a great guide and her van was nice and comfortable.. Sue planned the day nicely and added in a couple of other little stops along the way as we had the time. Pickup from the cruise ship was easy and uncomplicated. Sue was waiting at the shuttle drop off with a cheery smile and hello. No complaints.Written 7 December 2024
- denedub0 contributionsSecond to noneJust do it. If you want an amazing informative tour. Sue is one of a kind and made our Tasmanian adventure. Ps.. watch out for the baconWritten 20 June 2024
- Chris H0 contributionsA top time with a top operatorWe had a lovely personal tour with Sue. Her policy of keeping numbers to 6 or less ensures a quality day. We flitted between attractions and Sue changed the order as opportunities presented themselves. Sue was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and kept us entertained. The van was very comfortable and we felt safe in her hands. Hopefully we will get the opportunity to do some other tours with her in the future. I think we are exchanging Christmas cards she made us that welcome!Written 7 March 2024
- pamelalynam0 contributionsGreat dayWe did a half day wine tour with a platter included. Our tour driver, Sue was great, she's very knowledgeable about the area and the wine. Everything was well organised, all we had to do was show up. We even had enough time to stop at Spreyton Cider which was a nice treat given it was a hot day. Thank you for being so accommodating.Written 18 February 2024
- bigandbald_100 contributionsMeet Geoff the cave man!Meet the legend that is Geoff and his poor wife who has to deal with his jokes and beard! Lovely couple. Felt very exclusive and just a great place to visit.Written 18 February 2024
- S3560UAmichaelh0 contributionsTerrific Devonport-area day tourI arrived in Devonport pretty sick from a rough crossing on the Spirit of Tasmania. Sue took care of everything, getting us to a local chemist then adjusting our tour to match my lower energy level. She know a huge amount about the area and attractions (including the peculiarities of different animals at the Wings Wildlife Park) and out-of-the-way spots like small local cellar doors. Sue made what could have been a miserable day into a great experience.Written 2 December 2023
- windischstephen510 contributionsScenicThe Nut gives a perfect scenic view of the majestic town of Stanley. The chair lift can be taken 1 or both ways. We chose the chair lift on the way up and walked the way down which is very steep. The scones in the cafe afterwards were very tasty!Written 11 November 2023
- D6968DQdiannec0 contributionsSmall group tourFriendly driver, Sue chatted and gave us local knowledge as we headed via Sheffield for morning tea. We didn’t need to follow maps as she confidently headed up to Cradle Mountain. We can thoroughly recommend doing this tour this way.Written 19 October 2023
- imeldah20170 contributionsIncredible private tour of Stanley and surroundsSue is an amazing tour guide; knowledgable, generous, kind and tailored the experience specifically to me, knocking off a lot of destinations in one day without rushing at all. We even climbed to the top of the nut which was spectacular and must do if visiting Stanley (fitness permitting). Would definitely recommend Tasmanian Boutique Tours to anyone who wants a private, small group, customised tour of the North West of Tasmania.Written 6 October 2023

- YumPopcorn0 contributionsExcellent day trip to Cradle MountainHad a great day at Cradle Mountain hosted by Howard and his wife. It was a long drive out but the views and entire park were worth it. The van was comfortable and Howard was a good host while providing good insights on the town. Personally I had no problems communicating and organizing with Howard ahead of time. He was responsive and used WhatsApp, email, and SMS once I secured a local number. Great day and only wish we would have been able to have more time at the park.Written 17 March 2023
- crjask0 contributionsGreat Day with Cradle Mountain ToursWe were very lucky to have such a splendid day with Howard and his loverly wife. It was a relaxing day with beautiful scenery. It is a long way to Cradle Mountain but Howard gave commentary and we had ample breaks including tea and cookies at one "comfort" stop. We would totally recommend booking your Cradle Mountain tour with Howard!Written 16 March 2023

Yesterday, we had a truly excellent day touring with Howard (Cradle Coast Tours). When we were picked up, we discovered that we were the only 2 on the tour. Rather than cancel due to small numbers, Howard provided us with a relaxed day that included a great commentary about the area, the places we saw, passed through and visited. He asked us questions about our lives, likes, previous working careers, our families and about the plans we still have. His personal attention and interest in us as 'people' not just 'paying tourists' made us feel like we were old friends catching up for a chat.
We visited Gunns Plains Caves where we were greeted by Jeff. Trish then gave us a an interesting and informative tour of the Caves. The visit to Leven Canyon was another highlight. After the walk to the lookout, we were greeted with such beautiful scenery including the Leven River far below!
Howard continued an educational commentary as we travelled from place to place. Information about the history of the area, the farming methods and crops grown and other points of interest helped us gain an understanding and 'feel' for this area.
Howard is a great ambassador for tourism in the area.
Thanks for a wonderful day!

These caves are stunning with stalactites, stalagmites, columns, a stream, glow worms and more. Our guide was very knowledgeable but, even better, he is an extrovert and so much fun to interact with. I would recommend this to anyone.

We had the pleasure of joining Karen on her one year anniversary! What a great day in Tassie! The little town of Penguin is adorable! We got a nice overview of Tasmania and really enjoyed going to Wings Wildlife Park. Karen was a pleasure to work with during the booking process and a gracious hostess.

Cradle Mountain is the most popular site visit out of Brunie but requires 7 hours roundtrip. Shorter tour options are limited.
This operator and his assistant know the local area well and need to fine tune the tour logistics so they can share a number of closer sites worth visiting into a 4 hour window.

We visited several wildlife parks throughout Australia and found Wings to be THE BEST. It is a very interactive park and the large staff are excellent at giving information about the various animals and birds who live there. Unlike many other parks, where you just walk around on your own to view, we found the animal keepers kept scheduled times where they would speak about the animals (their behaviors, what they ate, where they came from, etc) so that it was really educational and much more enjoyable. For older folks, they have lots of seating benches around so it is also a place that is easy to visit. While we did not participate in any "animal encounters" we watched many others do so, even with a Tasmanian Devil! There are lots of "baby animals and birds" including 5 adorable emu's! Highly recommended to spend at least half a day there. The ride to the park is drop-dead gorgeous through lots of green rolling hills! Going there by private car (vs cruise ship bus) is a must as you really get a better sense of the town and the surroundings. Don't miss booking with Tasmania Boutique Tours for an exceptional time.

Very nice wildlife park. Interesting variety of animals, friendly kangaroos and wallabies, terrific time watching the devils fight over a feeding. Nice cafe to stop at for a snack.
