Great way to explore the Coorong.
Great way to understand this area. See fur seals up close. Got very close to the opening of the Murray to the Southern Ocean. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable. It can get very windy so recommend a warm top and beanie to control your hair if necessary! I wasn’t able to manage the walk up and across the dunes at a stop but went ashore and had a wander around before returning to the boat. Lunch and afternoon tea were well managed.

      Wonderful family fun
A wonderful and informative cruise! Very helpful and friendly staff that gave the kids some activity booklets to have fun with along the cruise. A wonderful family experience with the option of sitting inside or on top of the boat for ultimate viewing. We got to see lots of bird life and seals. An overall fun experience for our whole family!

The best immersive environment based tour!
We are residents of the Fleurieu and we are both full of praise for the wonderful tour on the Murray Spirit this afternoon. The Coorong is a very special place, and the half day Discovery Tour has got us to wanting to go on more of their tours! Super smooth, comfortable cruise, clear and informative commentary, pleasant crew and tasty food 😋.

      Lovely afternoon on the Coorong.
We spent a delightful afternoon on the Coorong with skipper Joel and Jessica. Faultless service of a pleasant lunch and afternoon tea, a warming glass of port, and an excellent commentary made it a great trip. Highly recommended!

      Recommended cultural and wildlife experience
This is a must do tour to see beautiful Goolwa, the mouth of the mighty Murray and the legendary Coorong. If you are a bird lover and wildlife photographer this is a must do trip. The Coorong is of great spiritual importance to the First Nations peoples and to experience it was a great privilege. The Spirit crew knowledge and experience together with the great meals make this an outstanding and great value for money experience. Highly recommended.

We weren't sure of what we were in for with strong, northerly winds for the day. However it was very sheltered in the cabin and although it was windy in parts we managed to find shelter out of the wind quickly. The walks through the dunes and to the beach were worth it just to find out about the indigenous history and about the local environment. The tour operator was engaging and knowledgeable. The lunch was tasty too.

This was a really excellent cruise, from the welcome aboard to the farewell. We enjoyed every minute.
The catering was so good, morning tea, delicious lunch and afternoon tea all served very efficiently by the Captain’s granddaughter, and even a glass of wine and beer if wanted.
The Captains commentary was interesting and informative without being a dicstraction from all the wildlife and beauty of the Coorong. Also the walks through the sand dunes were so good. The highlight for me was seeing the Captain digging in apparently dry sand and finding water.
Thank you Captain Jock and dekky Isabella.

This trip was really good and lots of good information regarding the area. The guide knew I guess, everything about this area, geographic, history and wildlife. Lots of birds, specially the pelicans and black swan. We even saw an Emu. I recommend this trip to everyone who loves Aboriginal history, that was for me one of the highlights of the trip to hear and see their history on the Coorong.

The day started well with very good weather, sunny and cool in the morning. The captain is very experienced, thus, he knows the waters and history of the areas very well. The captain in training (Murphy) was very attentive to the needs of the passengers on board. Enjoyed the walks and the nature. We saw seals, kangaroos, emus and heaps of different species of birds. Fantastic time!

Did a 6 hour tour and loved every minute. The weather was perfect, the itinerary varied, the commentary fun and informative and the food was delicious. The walks onshore were long enough to be entertaining but not long enough to tire you out. A great day. Thanks!

Despite the wet and windy weather today, we both enjoyed the relaxing boat ride and finding out lots of information about the Coorong area.
The Skipper Rupert and the apprentice Murphy were very friendly guys, who kept us entertained throughout the journey.
The prepacked lunch was delicious, as were the Cockles before lunch and the homemade slice for afternoon tea.
Saw lots of wildlife, including black swans, seals, dolphins and pelicans plus a lot of bird life as well.
Highly recommend this trip - well worth the money :)

The Coorong cruise was a highlight of our trip. As 3 basically non-ambulant pensioners we stay aboard the boat but enjoyed fully what was on offer anyway. Those who did take on the trek/s loved it. The commentary was articulate and v informative and passengers needs were attended to swiftly and efficiently. The lunch was wonderful. We are fortunate to live in such a beautiful part of the world. Thank you Spirit of the Coorong.

No problems at all! Thanks so much for your review, there is so much to see in the Coorong and the guided walks are certainly optional as the scenery from the boat is truly stunning.

We were very impressed with the quality of the tour. Both Michael and Bella and Darrel were very professional and delivered a very comprehensive account of the history of the surrounding area.
Would highly recommend this tour as you will come away well informed. The catering of morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea was excellent. A very comfortable boat trip.

The skipper, the ‘hostess’ and the aboriginal elder all were excellent. Well informed personable and interesting. The passing scenery on the river was explained and the two walks were very well done. Supplying drinks and food (lunch, morning and afternoon tea) has been honed to a fine art. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

What a great day out on the beautiful Coorong. The crew (Rupert, Mark and I’m so sorry I forgot the name of the other excellent crew member ) were fabulous - professional , friendly and very informative. The scenery was gorgeous and we felt so lucky to see the river in full flow , the abundant bird life and hear about the workings of the barrages. The 2 walks were fabulous and it was great to hear some history from the indigenous guide Mark and join in the smoking experience. Seeing seals , kangaroos and emus with their chicks was great.

The food was top quality and I loved getting a taste of the pippis . We highly recommend this experience with a very professional company
