The cruise down the Thompson River was amazing. Seeing the birds turtles kangaroos, the sunset was the best I have seen. The meal and the show after the cruise were great as well

The Thomson River put on an amazing nature show. Birds, roos and an amazing sunsets framed by the gums. The meal and show were magical.

This was a great way to spend a morning. Even though there's no air conditioning in this old train, with all the windows open there was a great breeze keeping the temperature down inside. The friendliness of the staff, their knowledge and constantly cheerful interaction made the morning fun and relaxing. The morning tea was very good, with pretty good damper.

Outback Aussie Tour Corner Country Explorer Tour: The best tour we have experienced. The tour guides are professional, knowledgeable and very welcoming. We were impressed with the places we visited, not only for the spectacular interesting scenery, but also for the deep and engaged interpretation of their communities by local presenters. The OAT guides accompanying our tour have a close collaboration with local guides which was impressive and aded to our appreciation. It is difficult nominate any one experience or place to highlight. We loved all the wide open spaces and the changing scenery - the Channel Country is fascinating as well as learning about Dinosaurs at Eromanga and Winton. The small towns we visited were interesting and impressive. Our last night was a cruise on the Tomson Rover, Longreach, at sunset followed by an out door dinner and show. It was a lot of fun and great to enjoy the warm hospitality. We would love to do it all again.

Just a wonderful experience. The boat trip down the Thomson river was just wonderful and picturesque. Photos we took were some of the best we have taken. To see the birds including kites, the turtles and the kangaroos coming to drink was just wonderful. The quiet tranquil immersion in nature was something you don't get these days very often. Dinner was lovely. Plenty of food and drinks were not overly expensive. Entertainment was fun and made for a good time. Just a lovely experience.

The area around Longreach and Winton were just amazing. So much to see and do, I'll be going back again. But it has to be with Outback Aussie Tours they are jus phenomenal.

From pick up to drop off in the comfortable coach, the entire experience was excellent. Our Hosts and supporting staff were friendly, professional and provided top notch customer service throughout the fabulous river cruise, delicious meal and enjoyable entertainment. Just had a beautiful sunset cruise on the Thompson River. Nibbles served as we watched the birds and turtles and the sunset! Then a great dinner, dessert, damper and tea and great entertainment from Corinne. Lovely staff who really seem to enjoy having guests and making sure we all have a great time. Well worth the money! Loved it.

We had a lovely night by the river enjoying a lovely meal served at the table under party lights. Lovely balmy night and great atmosphere with Rob singing and playing his guitar. Very easy listening country and western style. Thoroughly recommend.

Corner Country Tour 2024 We thoroughly enjoyed our trip with Jim and Rachel as our driver and hostess. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They looked after us all, answering our queries, filling us in on the history etc of each place we visited and ensuring that everyone was doing well. We had a wonderful group of travellers who followed the suggestion of changing seats each day which made our travels a lot of fun, seeing who we’d be sitting near in the coach for the day. The accomodation was good and our meals were very nice. One of us is coeliac and he was catered for amazingly throughout the time away. The only disappointment was with the Longreach office at the finish of the tour. Our itinerary showed that we would have breakfast and then be transported to the railway or airport. Our hostess said that since we wouldn’t actually be having breakfast before leaving that it would be provided on the train. She gave those flying home a Breakfast Voucher for $25 each to cover the breakfast on the itinerary. We were the only ones taking a seated carriage due to arriving home at midnight - the rest of the group who had chosen train travel took a sleeper for their trip. When we ordered our breakfast, we mentioned that Outback Aussie Tours had said breakfast would be provided, but they knew nothing of it. The rail staff said that that would have applied to those in the sleeping carriage. Since arriving home, we have phoned the Longreach office twice to enquire about this and were told that Bella would call us back but she has not been in touch. We are disappointed that once the tour is over, they aren’t interested in contacting us.

We had a group tour of Longreach and Winton with Outback Aussie Tours. Pat and Elizabeth from Outback Aussie Tours were excellent tour leaders. Very well organised and helpful. Pat was an extremely safe driver. The owners of the tour company are well connected to the region and offered an interesting and varied selection of experiences. We were able to get a good look at life in the outback. It was a terrific experience.

Thoroughly enjoyed the cruise, dinner and show. It was very well organised, perfect timing for each segment, great scenery, lovely food in a beautiful setting, topped off by enjoyable entertainment. The staff were friendly and seamlessly provided excellent service. Perfect end to the day.

The boat, the river, the food, the show, the bus. This was one extraordinary evening and would do it all again. Highly recommended.
