The tour company was great. Well organized, hospitable, knowledgable, and Juan as our guide really made the trip. His enthusiasm really made it a party, especially on the boat on the lagoon. The ruins were amazing, and the lagoon was beautiful. We shared a van and boat with two other families. The only down side is that the ruins are so popular, each tour group has a time limit to help control the crowds, which means you end up hustling through it pretty quick. There’s only so much you can expect from something so amazing and swamped with so many people eager to see it. Again though, Juan and the group were great and really helped make the experience.

Loved this trip! The guide was friendly, helpful and provided a great time. We got to pods of dolphins, snorkel, see the sea lions and enjoy an almost private beach. It was incredible! And lunch + snorkel gear was provided. Really enjoyed the experience and our guide. Thank you!

The best tour out there! We loved it because you travel with a small group, unlike other excursions, they had really large groups. We also enjoyed the private lagoon and tacos! Great and friendly guides

It was pleasant enough. Lunch was homemade and delicious (the ceviche was wonderful). The sights were breathtaking. Communication was difficult between us and the captain because he spoke very little English. The boat was small, under powered and had 3 padded seats and a bench. I would hesitate to book if you have moderate or more, physical disabilities. He takes you on a tour around Coronado Island where you see dolphins, birds and sea lions up close. Then takes you to a private beach where he sets up a table, chairs and sun shade. There, the lunch was set up. The beach is beautiful. We spent about an hour and a half eating, swimming, snorkeling and looking for shells. Only 3 snorkels were provided so we could not all go at the same time. This is a very modest tour and, in my opinion, a bit over priced. We paid over $500 for a family of 4. Overall, it was a good day for us.

I went on this amazing Bacalar Boat Ride Tour during my cruise, and it was absolutely unforgettable! The Bacalar lagoon is stunning, with vibrant blue and green colors that took my breath away. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience feel special. The visit to the San Felipe Fort offered incredible views, and the boat ride was an adventure in itself. We explored the beautiful Cenote la Bruja, learned about pirates at Pirate’s Channel, and enjoyed a swim in the tranquil waters of Cocalitos. It was the perfect family day out – relaxing, fun, and filled with stunning natural beauty. Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Costa Maya!

Alan, our tour guide was excellent! It was a pretty laid-back trip and that is what we wanted. We were able to kayak in the Lagoon ( the lagoon is a big lake ). I thought we were going to kayak into some smaller bays, but I must have misread the tour information. We spent about an hour on the water and then headed back for some tacos and swam in the beach area. It was a beautiful day which obviously helped with this experience for my wife and I.

We bought reposado tequila made by a distillery at the cenote and when got it home it was half water! They packaged it for me to fly home so of course I didn’t open it and when I gave it to my friend as a gift he told me it was very watered down. I paid $75 USD for nothing! Do not fall for this scam. I’m so disappointed!!

All on tme, easy check in, we went with Van 20 a nice air conditioned minibus. Miguel was a good safe driver. Lorenzo provided good commentary throughout. Didn’t feel rushed as we walked around the two ruins sites. At the 7 blue lagoon we kayaked, and had cocktails (ready when we got there thanks to being asked on the journey our preference) and soft tacos. i would recommend this trip.

The Bacalar Lagoon is absolutely breathtaking! The colors are so vibrant and stunning, it's like nothing you've ever seen before. The staff was amazingly friendly, making the entire experience even better! We started our adventure with a visit to the incredible San Felipe Fort, which offered breathtaking views of the lagoon. Then, we boarded a boat for an unforgettable ride! We also had the chance to cruise through some incredible spots like Cenote la Bruja, with its crystal-clear waters, and Pirate's Channel, where we heard some really cool pirate stories! The second cenote, Cocalitos, was just as stunning as the first! It had a white sandy bottom and turquoise water. It was the perfect way to spend a day with my wife, soaking in the natural beauty and enjoying the peaceful waters. This was the perfect way to spend our cruise day onboard the Scarlet Lady! I highly recommend this adventure to anyone looking for a relaxing and beautiful escape!

This was an excellent tour once we found the office and guide. Coming off our ship with hundreds of others it was chaotic. Directions are appalling, and we had quite a walk to try and find them. I appreciate they could not be quayside however it would have been a lot less stressful had someone been near the main gate with a sign up with their name. One family didn't get there and had to be transported to meet up with us. So whilst we eventually had a great tour and guide I wouldn't recommend them as a local company.

I was booked to go with my family today as the website said there was availability, but soon after I received an email from the tour owner saying they were booked. Not only was that frustrating, when I asked for a refund, I was told the owner doesn’t handle them and I had to go to Trip Advisor for a refund which isn’t easy to do. The site shouldn’t say there is availability and charge me nearly $500 for an excursion that we couldn’t do. Still waiting on a response for that. Poor experience.

After seeing pictures of this AMAZING cenote online, I couldn't wait to visit. Certainly glad we did. My hubby and I got to visit this lovely spot, as part of a trip to EK BALAM RUINS. We have been to more than one dozen different cenotes over the years in Mexico, but CHICHIKAN was my favorite. Beautiful location, hidden from highway. We visited during SEP2024, so very empty. This establishment is one of the few cenotes where I felt that the management CARED about me. They are very interested in YOUR safety, which is not always the case. After entering, you are directed to the changing area (to put on your bathing suit). Very well organized, with lockers, bathrooms, and showers. After walking down a SMOOTH path, you are directed to take a shower and pick up a life jacket. Then comes the REAL journey. The cenote is circular, open to the sky, with a beautiful waterfall. HOWEVER to get down to the platform, you must walk down a million, tightly wound uneven wooden stairs, SOMETIMES WITHOUT RAILING, all at a very steep angle. You really DO not see this from the website, or any pictures I have seen. There are very few landings to rest; once you commit, it's DOWN DOWN BABY - with no turning back! And going down is MUCH easier than coming back up. Again, this is not a journey for the faint of heart. Several people (older, or with knee/back difficulties) turned back. My own husband, who has severe arthritis, did NOT come down with me. This is NOT a handicap accessible site, or a place for pregnant women. Anyway, once you are down, you find yourself standing on a rubber covered walkway. Not crowded at all, and there are even places to dive/jump into the water. The water is TEEMING with fish: catfish, tetras, and other small freshwater types. Plus tons of aquatic plants, and a BEAUTIFUL WATERFALL. It is truly a magical setting; one I have never seen in any other cenote. If you do decide to venture into the water, IT IS FRIGID! Couldn't believe the water could be freezing 50F maybe, even though it was 105F that day. After a quick hop down the steps- yep steps- came right back up out of the water. And then the daunting journey back UP those horrific winding stairs begins. So stay down for a bit, even if it's just to catch your breath! In the sunlight at the top of the cenote, you can relax for 10 minutes to catch your breath, stop shivering, and then return your life vest. After drying off and changing, most people head to the on-site restaurant. The restaurant was REALLY good; authentic Mecican food (which we were not expecting). Real bar, so you can get a Margarita or Mezcal, if you want. And a wonderful woman hand cooking tamales on the grille. Fresh salads, tortilla soup, tacos, rice pudding - a very nice buffet. After eating, there is a small village to visit, depicting traditional Mexican life, which you can walk through. There are also several stations to observe typical cooking, taste Tequilas etc. Watch native dances. It's not XCARET, but it's cute. So if you are handicapped, pregnant, or simply do not want to go into the water, there are still things to do in the village. There is a small craft shop, and I believe also a spa on site. If you will be at CHICHZEN ITZA, COBA, EK BALAM or even in the area of Vallidolid, this cenote is a lovely excursion.

Great tour at the Mians pyramid and village. Takes around 45 minutes to get to the site. Large comfortable Mercedes bus. Steps are not bad easy 20 step and a harder 30 step to a set of pyramids. Wish I had known it but you can fly a drone here. But have to pay 5 dollars for videoing. Lake is clear and from cereones. They have beds, loungers, swings, picnic tables, and hammocks. Some hammocks are in the water. Very clean rest rooms and dressing rooms being cleaned constantly. Free bar. Restaurant with free chips, salsa, and fruits. For $12 per person more they gave taste beef, chicken, and vegetables. Make sure you have the pineapple. It has not been genetic engineered. It is the best pineapple I have ever eaten.
