The people of The Turtle Travel did an amazing job. Manuel and his assistants were directly in their communication and always put safety of the turtles as the number 1 priority. The snorkeling gear was brand new and the help in putting it in the right place was good. Manuel really understand that group was not familiar with the circumstances around swimming with turtles and showed his actions in this. We made a nice snorkelling track although the water was a bit fuzzy we saw beautiful turtles and a stingray. On top of that an octopus. In total we saw 10 turtles , 1 stingray and octopus. We have some nice pictures and movies. The quality and service was superb of Manuel. We can recommend the team.

I advise to NOT book with this company. The guide took us to the parking lot, told us he would come back and never returned. We’ve requested a refund.

We went on the 10:40 AM trip on Dec. 7, 2024. It was fantastic! We saw at least a dozen turtles, including 3 young ones that were only about 50 cm long. The trip was well organized, with Ricardo meeting us at the 7-Eleven 10 minutes or so ahead of the appointed time. We didn't need lockers, as they had a locking bin to put any valuables in. They were efficient in getting us outfitted with good quality lifejackets, masks & snorkels. 4 people in our group of 6 brought our own snorkels and that was fine. They even had spare rings to hold our personal snorkels. Our guide was excellent, with a good safety talk and an explanation of the do's and don'ts of visiting the turtles so as to have the least impact on them. The hour in the water was unbelievable. We loved every minute of it. I'm so glad we took the time to do it with The Turtle Travel. Our resort was pushing a combination cenote/snorkeling tour, but we weren't interested in that. Instead, we took the Colectivo which, for 30 pesos each, only took a few minutes from our resort, The Sens Riviera Tulum. It was a terrific day that we'll always remember and recommend.

Ricardo was a great tour guide. We were able to go as a group of just the 3 of us which was nice. Gear was decent. Lockers at the time were under maintenance so beware of that. The guide will have a locked tote on the beach. Meet up location was convenient as there are many shops right there with prices about half or less of the resorts. Saw a couple different types of rays and too many turtles to count. We were there on a windy overcast cast or were still able to see the turtles very clearly.

They didn’t follow the rule to limit group size to 6, as our group was 11 people, which was much too big. Never sent us our photos afterwards. Although we did see a few turtles, it was not a good experience.

We have enjoyed snorkelling with Ricardo a lot. Everything was extremely professional and with care for nature. Ricardo explained us the rules on how not to scare the turtles when we are swimming. It was a great private experience much better than doing it in the big groups from other tours we saw entering the water. We saw a lot of turtles and even an eagle stingray! Ricardo knows a lot about nature and shares it during the tour. It is also great that Ricardo takes GoPro photos which he shares still the same day for you to enjoy the memories of great moments!

Tour was very organized and our tour guide Mariana was very patient and knowledgeable. She told us the history of the items beneath the water while pulling three of us to keep us safe and enjoy the snorkeling. She made sure we saw all the bigturtles, baby turtle, and even saw a sting ray. There were many beautiful fishes and even saw a live squid. Fabian sent us our GoPro pictures and videos within 24hrs after snorkeling. I will book again from the Turtle Travel.

Ivwant to change my reciew as i am wauting for the go pro pictures we paid extra to do this tour for the picturex and i still haven't recoeved them .

I booked this trip last minute for my family and truely delivered . Fabian was an excellant and knowledgable guide and it was definately value for money we saw about 6 turtles 2 rays and lots of colourful fish on the reef . As the trip includes entry to the beach all day we stayed and continued to snorkel in the punluc part of the beach and sea.

Ricardo was so accommodating and helpful! Even though we visited at the end of the turtle season, we saw MANY turtles. The water was a crystal blue/green that was just incredible (pic attached). We will never forget this experience!

Absolutely loved this tour! Our guide explained everything to us & was so good at finding the turtles for us and taking amazing photos & videos. It was a little bit busy when we went but our guide kept taking us to the quieter areas so that we could really spend time with the turtles. It was obvious how passionate he was about the turtles & made sure we were respecting them and not scaring them. The photos & videos were amazing & got sent the same day! Our only criticism is that we arrived at the correct time however the other couple who were also doing the tour arrived over an hour late which meant we were not able to start the tour until a later time. This impacted our day as we had other things planned which we then could not do. However, we thouroughly enjoyed our tour and would do it again!

Amazing turtle tour with Ricardo. We got to see sooooo many turtles! He was so good at explaining how to best see them, behave around them to not scare them off and also took lots of photos / videos on his go pro. Such an incredible experience that I definitely recommend. It was nice that we were only a group of 4 that he took out vs some other tour operators that had 15+ people to manage!

10/10 recommend this tour instead of others. Ricardo our tour guide was so friendly and accommodating, even though we arrived 10min late. He was the exact vibe we expected and wanted in all of our México tours - easygoing, accommodating, and seems to just love what he does. This tour really made our vacation perfect! GoPro pics and footage were complimentary. Tour was much less expensive compared to others, not sure why others are so expensive. Check them out!

We had a wonderful time swimming with sea turtles. Our guide was excellent. I love that pictures were included. It was just our small family on the tour, so that was nice. :)
