- hello9450 contributionsWhat a vibeThis boutique winery nestled in the glorious Coonawarra district is so welcoming. We enjoyed live music and pizza; billed as “Wood Fired Pizza and Tunes” at Raidis on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Food was yummy and generous, the service was friendly and inclusive. The signature goat sign on approach to the winery just outside the pretty town of Penola is quirky, but continues to remind me of the lovely time spent there, each time I open a bottle of Raidis wine. They have some attractive deals if you are into good wine too.Written 12 April 2022
- Squidgy130 contributionsFantastic Day Pizza and winesWe went to the pizza and tunes and it was a fantastic day. The pizzas were great and the wines are some of the best in the Coonawarra . Emma and Stevo are great hosts. Highly recommend a visitWritten 12 April 2022

- RazeRmelbourne0 contributionsAvoid the majors - visit bereAfter visiting a couple of the “name brand” wineries in the area and being disappointed with the service we dropped in to Raidis. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Exactly what you want from a family owned business. Great wines. You must try the Shiraz!!Written 6 January 2021
- P2485OFdaniels0 contributionsWonderful ExperienceMy partner and I booked the cheese plater for two with a glass of wine each, unfortunately I made a mistake and had booked it for the wrong day, but they were very accomodating and were able to set us up with a private table on the lawn area and put together a brilliant tasting platter. I would highly recommend for everyone to visit Raidis Estate, the venue, the food, the wine and the service were amazing. Thanks for a lovely dayWritten 25 January 2020

- petermI3243RC0 contributionsSuperbMet the owner, lovely Man. We are now going to a wine tasting at Gilbert Hotel Adelaide this month showcasing their new wines. After a day of tasting at various wineries were a bit dubious as this was the last one for the day, however we bought various 12. Opened a Shiraz next night and were not disappointed. Now on the mailing list, highly recommendWritten 4 August 2019

We spontaneously visited Monday afternoon, 15 min prior closing time, and weren't sure if we could still get a wine tasting at all.
We were so wrong! Upon entry we were greeted very warm and welcoming by a lady that just started packing up for the day, and Chris Raidis, the owner of the vineyard.
We had the best time ever, sitting in front of the fire place, tasting all of their delicious wines, and left with 12 bottles to take home.
Chris is a true host and such a lovely person to have a chat to. He really knows what true hospitality really looks like.
We visited a few other vineyards around the area and have to say that this one was our pick.
Really tasty wine, great location, lovely atmosphere and very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Thanks for a great experience.

Raidis Estate is everything you could ask for from a Family Winery. We were welcomed with open arms and made to feel right at home the moment we stepped through the doors. Stevo ran through the wines with us and then we were joined by Chris with his entertaining stories and delicious coffee. It was a brilliant way to finish off a perfect day in the Coonawarra.
Chris, Fran, Stevo and Emma your hospitality is exceptional, your wines are delicious and we'll be spreading the word about Raidis Estate.

What a wonderful late afternoon experience. Once Chris walked in after a long day pruning the vines (also acknowledging his wife who was out there too working exceptionally hard), we have NEVER felt more welcome in winery for a tasting ☺️ Thank you so much for taking the time at the end of your long day to share your family's story with us, your very funny jokes and natural jovial personality. You have a beautiful family run business and we look forward to coming to one of your music and food experiences in the 'big shed' in the near future. Thank you again.

The wines are good and the people at the cellar door are lovely. Air-conditioned cellar door so good on a hot day. Has a big outdoor area so good for functions.

Went here with a friend. We didn't particularly like the wines we sampled. With so many great wineries in the area, I think I'll stick to those from now on

Hi,
Thanks for your review. I am sorry you had a bad experience.
I just wanted to clarify if this review was meant for Raidis Estate, as at the end of the review there is a picture of another winery.
If it was for us, may I ask which wines you tried. I am surprised you didnt like them as we usually get great reviews and make it a point to only serve them when they are fresh.
If they were our wines we would love to know specific feedback and will we will make it a point to retrain our staff.
Thanks for taking the time to review.

We enjoyed a relaxing tasting with Kate at cellar door in front of the cosy fire. Starting with the Emma sparkling and continuing through most of their fabulous range of wines. A great way to spend an afternoon

Our pop into Raidis was a crime of opportunity and one we are incredibly glad we made. It was late on a Friday afternoon but the lady handling the cellar door could not have been more generous with her time. The wine was super tasty, but learning about the winemaking family and the traditions made the visit quite special. Definitely on the list to visit again in the future.
