      SA Cycling Stunner!
We did the 6 day ride through the SA vineyards. The whole experience exceeded our expectations! The e bikes were great as was the accommodation. The communication and organization was brilliant, we really enjoyed the variety of rides and activities each day. The whole tour was so well planned. Dan and Matt were also great guides, very accommodating and lots of fun to be with. Nothing was a problem for them. Great value for money, highly recommended.

7-Day South Australia Food & Wine E-Bike Tour
Wonderful week biking around the wine country outside Adelaide -- on e-bikes so we could manage hills even after a wine tasting or two! Good bikes, accommodations, and experiences. Plenty of free time to do our own exploring (first time in that part of Australia) by ourselves or with others from the group. Daniel was our guide for most of the trip and he really knows his stuff! He gave us great advice on routes, restaurants, wineries, you name it. Only smally quibble was that it's really a 5-day trip since the first and last days are just the check in and out from hotels, no activities or bikes. Overall, a fantastic experience and well worth it.

Absolutely amazing tour. Daniel was great. The wineries, cheese cellar, and chocolate factory were unreal. Everything was amazing . He was super helpful and accommodating with my injury and I couldn’t have expected more. Wonderful experience.

      Great Ebike cycle trip
We had the most wonderful week. Our guides, Dan and Matt, were fantastic. They had a lot of knowledge of the local area. The cycling was mainly on cycle paths. Ebikes made the trip an easy ride. We got to enjoy the beautiful scenery as we cycled. We enjoyed lovely wine and excellent local food.

      Outstanding South Australian e-bike tour
We went on the 7 day South Australian food and wine e-bike tour in Oct 2024. We have done a lot of travel in Australia and overseas and this tour was by far the best tour we have ever had. Dan and his Bikeabout team have put together a wonderfull tour highlighting the best scenery, experiences, food and wine that these wine regions have to offer. This is topped off by the guides who could not be more personable, knowledgeable, experienced and welcoming. We can highly recommend this to anyone who wants to see the best of South Australia’s’ Adelaide region. The cycling was easy and predominately on bike trails with the e-bikes making any small hills a breeze.

      Awesome ebike experience!
Highly recommend the 5 day ebike tour through Adelaide Hills and Barossa Valley. Really well considered itinerary providing a variety of landscapes and experiences. Dan was an awesome guide. He knew a lot about the local areas we rode through being from the area and could recommend places of interest, cafes etc. My husband and I really enjoyed his company with lots of friendly banter. The whole tour was well-organised but relaxed. Thoroughly enjoyable. Mark and Jude (NZ)

      Winter Special?
Our 3-hour hire in Kingscote was a lot of fun. Disappointed that the "**WINTER SPECIAL**" advertised on website, and still there, was refused to us, despite this being winter.

Mt. Lofty E-Wheels and Wildlife tour
We really enjoyed our morning cycling in and around the Cleland Conservation Park. Nothing was too much trouble for Dan, who was our guide for the morning. We had a bit of prior experience riding rail trails and linear parks on conventional bikes, but Dan quickly got us orientated to their well maintained, top-of-the range e-bikes and the challenges of the tracks which were easy in most parts and a bit tricky in a few spots. He was a great mentor and we were quicky and confidently winding our way through the park. Dan pointed out the koalas and kangaroos along the way. The view of the city from the Mt Osmond lookout was spectacular and the scenery along the way was inspiring. We would highly recommend the experience and Bike About as great hosts.

Great way to see the Barossa!!!
A fabulous tour of the beautiful Barossa on our E-bikes with Dan and his crew being super guides and support along the way. Cycling, cheese tasting, strawberry picking plus wine tasting (what more could you ask for?) all organized superbly by Dan even arranging great accommodation and transport between towns so we could cycle safely on flat pathways. :-) I would certainly recommend this tour and hopefully come back again in the future. Thanks heaps Dan xx

      Fantastic riding experience
Dan was amazing! His patience, availability, kindness and all-round general knowledge made him a great operator. The bikes were good, the trails were very scenic, interesting and mostly flat. I really enjoyed the history Dan was able to share with us about the areas in the Adelaide hills and Barossa valley we traversed. Our accomodation and the organized stops were excellent. Thanks Dan for making this such a great experience. I’d recommend this tour to anyone interested in immersing themselves in riding through this very fascinating piece of Australian cultural history and doing it with a quality operation!

An unforgettable first taste of South Australia
We had a wonderful tour with Bike About. The trails were varied and not too tiring (especially with E-bikes). Dan was very knowledgeable and ensured that we had a great time. The cheese-tasting at Udder Delights and the picnic at The Lane were fantastic. Seven days was not enough - we'll definitely be back for more!

A fun & memorable way to see Hahndorf & surroundings!
Dan a true local, and Janet his side kick, were both extremely professional and friendly during our awesome bike tour. Being first time on an e-bike, Dan and Janet were always on hand to ensure we had a memorable experience. It is pretty special cycling around Hahndorf and the surrounding wineries, better than driving. The all inclusive tasting was very generous & delicious. Highly recommend Bike About .. we will surely book again next time we are in town!

This wonderful holiday and tour was so enjoyable. We stayed a few extra days and explored Adelaide and surrounds, attended a Crows vs Eagles game at the Adelaide Oval, went to a performance of Symphony of the Bicycle, visited the pandas at the Adelaide Zoo and the amazing Botanic Gardens. Then we enjoyed 5 days of wonderful cycling adventures through a range of cycle trails taking us down the coast, then inland to McLaren Vale, the quaint Hahndorf, the Amy Gillett Pathway, the Adelaide Hills and then the Barossa Valley. The last day was a stunning ride all the way along the Torrens to the coast. The Merida mountain e-bicycles were superb, with plenty of battery capacity to help you along and had a good sized saddlebag for a bit of gear. The mid drive motor, brilliant hydraulic brakes and great geometry made it such a comfortable and enjoyable ride. The longest ride was around 30km which we accomplished easily. We were hosted by Daniel who is a wonderfully engaging gentleman with a passion for touring and his beautiful state, with all of the sights and experiences it had to offer. Nothing was too much trouble and Daniel really looked after us, he's got all sorts of options for mixing up the tour and catering for things like weather changes and so on. We had such a great time on this tour, the scenery, fresh air, variety of terrain, wonderful wine, the food!!! - lucky we were burning a few calories by riding each day, excellent accommodation and Daniels cheerful good humour and encyclopaedic knowledge of all things SA made it very special. On the last day we even got to meet Jack, the founder of Bike About, who was happy to tell us all about his journey in cycle tourism. This is a great tour if you like being out and about seeing different sights and enjoying new experiences each day, it was just great and it is indeed 'better by bike'. Thanks Daniel, and we hope to join a Bike About tour again soon.

Wow! This bike and wine tour was fantastic. We were totally immersed in the beautiful areas of the Barossa, Mclarenvale and the Adelaide Hills. The itinerary was very managable with some spare time to explore the regions. The wineries included in the tour were very well chosen, with some world renowned and some small family run.
Every Day seemed like a new adventure on our Ebikes. A big shout out to our guides Dan and Jack who were amazing. Couldnt have asked for better. We ourselves have been in the tourism industry for over 30 years and know what it takes to put together a first class tour. We give Bike About 10 out of 10. We will definitely be back.

I wanted an adventurous experience in Barossa and this bike day exceeded my expectations!! The bikes were great quality and the trip was so much fun. The bike paths made it worry free for American riders and even when we rode the short times on the road the guide was very attentive and made sure we crossed properly. The stops were fabulous (and delicious.). The vistas were breath taking as we rode through vineyards and paths. We started with the chocolate factory, visited the cheese factory with a fabulous cheese tasting and ended with a wonderful wine tasting and food board at Yalumba. What an incredible vineyard and cellar to visit. After 2 weeks in Australia I would definitely recommend this tour and rate this as one of my highlights. The guide was so much fun too.

Carmen and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour, a perfect way to explore the Barossa and wineries. The bikes were a good way to combine the site seeing as well as get a bit of exercise and see parts of the area not able to by other means. The length of the ride and the places chosen were well balanced and would certainly highly recommend this tour even for those with little or no experience with bikes.

Jack was a great guide and certainly made our experience one to remember

After a long time planning the tour with our group I can honestly say that every part of the tour was fantastic. Dan and Piers led us along some amazing pathways and showed us the changing colours of the landscape which was awesome to see. Accommodation provided was very comfortable and all amenities were covered. The highlights of our trip were too many to choose one from another, all were of very high standard.
Bike About were very professional, very friendly and I would recommend anyone wanting to visit the Barossa Valley to do it through Bike About – you will not be disappointed.

We did the 6.5 our E bike tour through Barossa Valley. The guide Danielle was outstanding. The bikes were outstanding. The chocolate cheese and wine stops were phenomenal. Great wine tasting very educated sommelier. This was the most beautiful way to see the Barossa valley. I would highly recommend this tour. We were a group of 10 two families with our teenage Kids 15to 21. They loved it so much. Do not miss this wonderful experience.
