      What a great day.
What a day?! Had an absolute cracker of a trip. Full of history, wildlife info and really bad dad jokes 😃. Kev is the total entertainer. Guided tour of Bustard Head lighthouse and its history. Adrenalin buzz from sandboarding down the hills...... amazing day.

Fabulous day on the Australian east coast
What a perfect day in all aspects. This was our third time on the LARC and this time exceeded our expectations with traps to dairy of the area, range of activities and very much the knowledge and hospitality of the two staff - tour guide and skipper. Thanks team, we highly recommend this for a memorable experience for all.

      A Great Day Out
Hosted by Kev and Skipper Anthony the day started with really informative info on wildlife and the regions history peppered with lots of ‘Dad Jokes’, all great fun and enjoyed by all. We were all made to feel really welcome and encouraged to make the most of the day. Kev went out of his way to point out a lot of local wildlife was keen to share his in-depth knowledge of the habitat. Cape Bustard lighthouse was a really enjoyable stop hosted by resident volunteers who took us through the lighthouse, museum and cemetery with lots of stories on the interesting history of the site. After a nice lunch (really fresh and delicious including fruit, plenty of it and dietary’s catered for) we headed to the 35 metre high sand dune to experience (for those brave enough) some sand boarding and a swim in the beautiful inlet bay. Would thoroughly recommend doing the full day trip!!

      Great family activity
An excellent family run business. Isabella the skipper gave a very good overview of the town, history and great local knowledge. Her father was a great host who went out of his way to assist my disabled wife board and disembark the boat. Highly recommend this family friendly company.

      Best activity in the area
The team at 1770 Larc tours are amazing. The vibe for our tour was outstanding from the minute we were welcomed by Kev and Skip. They were great with the kids and made sure we laughed the whole time. Lunch was delicious and got us going for the highly anticipated sand boarding! I would recommend this trip to any one who wants to learn some history about the area and have a fun day. Hot tip - take extra towel and a change of clothes if it isn’t stinking hot. Wished I took jumpers for the way home.

John was a lovely tour guide and had heaps of amazing knowledge. Unfortunately though it was very difficult to hear him over the other passengers that decided a cruise filled with children would be a excellent time to break out a heap of XXXX cans and drink them. They became even more loud and disruptive as the tour went on even starting to swear and yell. One demanding that he desperately needed to use the bathroom that much he was distrubting the tour. (I am slightly glad to say he did not make it to the bathroom in time and left even more embarrassed) I wouldn't have hesitated to give this tour 5 stars but by allowing these ummm... people? to drink alcohol on the tour made it such a bad experience. I have taken 2 stars off even though I didn't enjoy it at all because if it wasn't for them it would have been 5 stars and to a degree there is only so much the tour guide could have done but by not allowing drinks in the first place would have helped at least.

Thank you for your feedback. We are very disappointed to hear that other guests on board ruined your experience with us. We have never had to deal with such disrespectful people before and were completely unaware of their attitudes prior to boarding. We are very grateful for you bringing this to our attention. As of today we will be banning guests from bringing cooler bags or similar on board. We have arranged for a team meeting to discuss what other procedures we can put in place to make sure others do not ruin the atmosphere of our relaxed sunset Afternoon Cruise. We are always seeking ways to improve our services and would like you to know that we appreciate you taking the time to share this with us.

I had a great time doing the LARC afternoon cruise. It was fun, and the guide was very funny and entertaining. I was keen to do the full day cruise but was fully booked so I ended up joining the 1 hour cruise- it was short and sweet!

Thank you Rowena. We are so glad that we had the opportunity and pleasure of hosting you on our Afternoon Cruise. It is a delightful afternoon adventure. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your time with our LARCtastic crew. Our Paradise tour is quite popular and we highly recommend to book in advance to avoid disappointment. But we think this is a great excuse for you to plan another holiday in Agnes Water and 1770. We hope to see you again.

The tour was advertised as viewing 1770 at dusk which to me meant around sunset. When i printed my ticket I discovered it was due to start at 15.00 and then I received a text telling me it was at 14.00. Hardly a sunset cruise.
It was a fun experience with a lively commentary but not a lot of wildlife to see. The hour included around 20 minutes walking on a beach shell hunting.
Staff were great but there was not really a lot for them to talk about.

This was such a fun experience, fantastic value for money, great commentary and Neil was a wealth of information about the history of this beautiful part of the world. He shared his vast knowledge of the wildlife and the importance of sustainability. All staff connected with this attraction were friendly and accommodating. Well done LARC!

Our tour guide, Ant, was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the environment. He showed us a bull nosed ray feeding in the shallows which was a real treat. The ray was huge and looked like a shark swishing through the water.

We did an afternoon tour and it was so much fun. Macka even did a second splash down for us as the kids in the back didn't get wet. The area is not only stunningly beautiful but so interesting. I wish we had the time to do a full day tour.

The LARC tour was great, the staff were very friendly on and off the LARC. The person we went with which was Mackka made the tour more interesting for little kids and then added a little adult humor to some things he said. I throughly enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to those who think they would enjoy the tour too!

What a wonderful activity to do. Dillion, our driver was very knowledgeable, very engaging and very witty. We had several young lads on our trip (like under 10s), and the "big splash" was a HUGE hit with them (the adults loved it too!). Highly recommend for all ages!! Thanks Larc crew.....from the lady dressed as a Christmas cracker!

Hello Leahdawes2020 Fantastic to hear you enjoyed the LARC! Afternoon Cruise so much that you also booked the Goolimbil Walkabout tour as well :) There's no recommendation more perfect than that when our guests are converted LARCaholics and they are eager to experience other tours. Skipper Macka keeps the commentary interesting and light hearted for all of our guests to enjoy. There's no better way to keep the kids entertained then by LARCing. LARCing is the perfect way to keep the whole family entertained :) Those incredible splashdowns are always such a hit with everyone :) Thank you very much for your recommendation and we do hope you enjoy the Goolimbil Walkabout just as much. Kind Regards The LARC! Team
