Lovely pleasant boat trip right on sunset. Crew nice and friendly. Bought our own drinks and nibblies and enjoyed the view along the coastline

      Exceptional!
This is not the kind of thing we normally do but we absolutely loved this cruise! Tracy and Grant were exceptional hosts and guides, their local knowledge is impressive and they made everyone feel welcomed and relaxed. Loved how they were just as impressed by the sunset as we were. The cruise is great value and offers a choice of cold drinks for purchase or free hot drinks. Cruising down this beautiful river with a beer being entertained, felt like a perfect night to us. Can’t recommend this tour and these guys enough! Debbie and Nathan 😊

      Great trip
We really enjoyed the sunset cruise, very friendly crew, nice atmosphere and little bits of information along the way. We brought a few beers to enjoy along the way and an esky with ice was provided to keep them cool. Would definitely recommend.

      Totally nailed it!
Aydan kept in contact all week via telephone to choose the best day and only suitable day to go out fishing. Also convinced us to make a 4am start!! He and Rob were up firing on all cylinders, very impressive. Made our way up the coast and all on board were pulling in pink snapper within 2 mins of first anchor. We all (6) and others on board had a great day of fishing with sharks, crays and a good size estuary cod to top it off. The lads divided up the crays and filleted our catch to complete a fabulous day. We also did the sunset cruise with a larger group which I would highly recommend. Thank you Aydan.

Be aware that there are two sunset cruises to choose from - this is the Reefwalker one
We didn't realize until afterwards that there are actually two sunset cruises to choose from. This one is in the Reefwalker boat, and runs for 90 minutes. The other is in the Nebraska II, and runs for 2 hours. Both come into the river around the same time, immediately after sunset, but the Nebraska II tour goes a bit longer, and travels further along the coast, and also is slightly more expensive. This entry is for 90 minute tour with the Reefwalker boat. We had a fabulous experience. As promised, we departed 90 minutes before sunset, and after cruising through the river, had an exciting trip through the channel into the ocean, and then right behind the breakers near Back Beach. The first part was a bit wild, and there were one or two passengers who were a bit afraid and looked a bit green, but we just loved it, and it was certainly entirely safe. The cruise stays close to the coast and goes all the way up to Eagle Gorge, at which point it turns around, and does a return trip back, this time further away from the coast. Views were magnificent, and seeing the coast from a different perspective really made it worthwhile. There is a toilet on board, and also an esky is provided so you can bring your own drinks, which many passengers did. Some commentary was provided on points of interest on the way out. We were fortunate to see a humpback whale and calf close to the boat half-way our tour, and the calf was breaching. The skipper made a special effort to get us close enough to see the show. The other tour from the competition (on the Nebraska II) is a bit longer, and when we first realized it left half an hour earlier, we were a bit disappointed and wished we'd opted for that one. But in retrospect, the tour on the Reefwalker was everything we'd hoped for, and we were very satisfied. Highly recommended activity if you're visiting Kalbarri.

      Whale Watching In Kalbarri
It was a wonderful experience. The weather had been quite windy the day before so our tour was rescheduled, which worked out really well for us. We saw a mother and calf, who then circled our boat 3 times before moving off. We also saw single whales further away, but still a good distance to view. The crew were informative and friendly.

      Wonderful whale watching experience
The tour provider will shift tours to suit weather conditions, so be prepared to shift from 9am to 7am. I’m glad they changed ours to 7am, as it was much more comfortable with less wind and swell. The tour went over the scheduled amount, as we kept finding whales! The tour provider keeps a good distance, but close enough to see the whales. The tour guides knowledge on whales was great too. It has a flushing toilet on board, generous seating & you can take your own food and drinks. Dress to protect yourself from the wind! I would recommend this company for a whale watching tour. Thank you-we had a great time!

      Great value for money
A beautiful experience of cruising out through the river mouth to the open seas and following the rugged coast line past the cliffs of Kalbarri. It was informative and entertaining and we were lucky to see dolphins and migrating whales. . We felt very safe on the boat. Aiden runs a good trip.

      Wonderful whale watching experience
The whale watching experience was amazing! We postponed our intended trip to the following day due to the swells and the team handled the postponing very well. And once we saw the “calm swells”, I am glad we postponed! I was expecting to maybe see one whale and come back to shore but we saw multiple! The tour guides were great at finding more whales and would idle so we could see them properly. The team appeared to be very knowledgable about whales and over all it was a very exciting and enjoyable experience.

      Fantastic cruise
This was a fantastic cruise with amazing scenery and a great guide. There was pretty big swell the day we went out so we got a display of some highly skilled driving by our host. Dolphins and a curious whale very close added to the excitement of the tour.

This is the best morning fun! Sunrise out through the river mouth into the beautiful blue ocean. Then the fish gambling begins! Will we be lucky?
The skipper brought up about 8 lobster cages. Some empty. One lobster was burgled by an octopus!
Then …bingo! We bought home beaut lobsters. All legal and two quite large.
They even give you a recipe
Bragging rights and memorable for sure
    Total thumbs up 👍

Wow! What a tour and what an incredible guy Aydan is. Extremely knowledgable, the team worked hard pulling the rock lobster pots up. They pulled 12 and unfortunately we only caught 1. Name of the game though sometimes you catch loads others nothing. We also saw whales and sharks, that came right up to the boat!

When we docked Aydan handed us some frozen crayfish! We got two each which we did not expect one bit!

Thanks Aydan and the team :)

    A great experience.

Crew gave excellent info on rock lobsters, how pots were baited.

Excitement when pots got pulled up from the sea floor - each rock lobster examined and crew explained differences between male and female, and what size needed to be returned to the ocean.

Highlight was at the end of the tour when caught lobsters were given out to the passengers - best super-fresh crayfish lunch we have every had.

    Highly recommended

OMG what a magnificent tour this is... a must do if you have never ever pulled a Lobster pot. The experience of Aiden and Rob aboard the boat is really comforting knowing you are in safe hands they are very knowledgeable and very friendly.
On our return to the Marina we ate what we caught, our catch was cooked on the BBQ in garlic😋with delicious salads, bread and finishing off with a chocolate brownie. It is definitely well worth the money. Come on all you Aussies travelling to Kalbarri this is a fantastic experience.

We went on the Crayfish catch and keep tour. Adyn contacted us the day before to confirm the change of time due to the tides. He was very informative though our the tour about
the crayfish industry. He also pointed out dolphins and bronze whaler sharks that we also saw during the trip.
He had excellent communication skills making the trip very enjoyable with his light humour while always making you feel safe.
We were given crayfish to take home with a recipe card and they tested amazing so fresh

Can highly recommend doing the craypot run with Reefwalker Ocean Discovery Kalbarri. We pulled 62 good sized crays this morning which meant every passenger got a very generous share. Well worth the $85 for an entertaining and informative trip with Ayden and crew.

This was just the right amount of time to be on the ocean if you have a stomach that doesn't handle the sea well. We had a great commentary on the lobster industry. Saw a dolphin pod on our way to the pods. We sampled some cooked lobster and were each given a lobster to take home. A unique and wonderful experience.

Brilliant morning out on the Rock Lobster Pot Pull Tour!
Stunning cruise out and loads to see. Aydan provides really informative commentary and laughs.
Spotted dolphins, sharks and even an emu on the beach 😆
Caught enough 🦞 for a couple each and threw back probably as many.

Great activity and highly recommended! I learned a lot on how cray fish are caught. Also experienced a beautiful sunrise over Kalbarri shoreline. Wear something warm during winter because it can be windy.
