Whale shark swim, spectacular snorkelling, friendly staff, marvellous day
The entire experience was amazing. Bucket list tick! The boat was high quality and comfortable (Blue Strike), the staff were super freindly and took the time to explain and ensure we maximised our time swimming with the whale sharks. Jeff the Captain did an amazing job getting us into position efficiently. Super fun day, then to cap it off, the quality of the pics and videos of the day were next level! Massive thank you ...The Mayor of the Sal Salis 6 :-)

Make sure the weather is perfect before you go
We were supposed to go to Blizzard Ridge but the cyclone ruined visibility. But we didn't figure that out until we all went down, swam around a bit, couldn't see anything and then had to move sites. So we wasted some time there, and then went to Bundiggi (sp?), an alternate dive site. Normally, I'm pretty understanding about weather - the crew obviously can't control it - but they had no policy for either partial refunds or rescheduling. Then we found out when we got back that the other dive boat that had the same problems gave everyone a partial refund, so then we all felt crappy for having paid so much for a kind of crappy dive day. And while I loved the dive team, I was mostly annoyed because our dive instructor did not seem experienced enough to handle the problems the group had. One woman clearly had no idea how much weight she needed and the instructor didn't bring enough, and the woman didn't do her buoyancy test properly, so we didn't find out until the dive started that she needed more weight and it ended up messing with the dive. Then the instructor didn't have enough weight and was having to grab live coral to hold herself to the ground. It was... not good. I hate leaving less than five star reviews but for as expensive as this trip was, the experience was really way beneath the cost. I will say the crew were all lovely people, it was just way too expensive for what we actually received unfortunately. They should have issued partial refunds like the other boat or given us a credit for another dive.

        Swimming with Whalesharks
We had the most amazing day with Exmouth Dive Centre. The whole day was so well organised & ran like clockwork. We were so fortunate to find the most chilled, calm whaleshark to swim with & the snkorkeling was unreal. The extra little touches like a glass of bubbles after seeing the whalesharks & having photos of us swimming with the whalesharks included made the whole experience extra special. Huge thanks to the crew for a truly wonderful experience 🙏 ❤️

        Whale Shark Magnificence..! 🐋
What an incredible experience! A definite highlight on our around Oz adventure. The staff were so attentive and supportive with our 10yr old daughter and I watched her confidence soar with each jump in with the whale sharks. A bucket list experience for sure!! Thanks team 🐋🙏

        ONCE IN A LIFETIME
All reports suggest you can’t see whale sharks in October at Exmouth. They are all wrong, this was a fantastic experience we swam with 2 whale sharks, I could not hav swam anymore. We also saw a dolphin while snorkeling along with turtles (doing the tango!) & hump back whales from the boat. Furthermore there less people out there because it was off season and the sea was the warmest you could hope for whalesharks = actually this was the best time of the year to do it! I will add to above a traveller friend advised me (from speaking to a competitor operator who don’t go in Oct) that only 1 whale shark had been seen from all tours in October with 30 people trying to see them, how wrong he was and how glad I am, I listened to this tour group instead. Also want to add the staff that worked on this boat were all excellent, they made the whole experience very enjoyable; the spotters helped to make it even more exciting, the photographer was arguably the number 1 ocean photographer in Exmouth & Michael had a great sense of humour, providing lots of advice on various other things we could do in Exmouth. We are all very glad we did this tour, once in a lifetime and well worth it.

The best experience and company ever!
My partner and I recently completed our Open Water PADI Dive Course with Exmouth Dive and truly cannot put into words how incredible our experience was. Yardena (Jordan) was our instructor and her kind heart and fun attitude made the three days of the course both extremely enjoyable and put all nerves at ease. In our ocean dives, we saw reef sharks, mantarays, turtles, whales and so much more! Her adventurous spirit allowed our group to safely adventure the ocean whilst learning valuable skills. Tyler was a fantastic skipper and went out of his way to ensure all of the passengers saw a range of sea life and were comfortable. We cannot recommend Exmouth Dive again! Will be back! Lauren

        Excellent trip
The staff were excellent in making sure everyone got what they wanted from the trip. There was a big age range from children (7and 9) to late 60s as well as experience snorkeling. From very experienced to having snorkel only once before. Some people choose to enjoy the trip and did not enter the water. The snorkeling spots were great, so many different varieties of fish including sharks. Plus we saw turtles mating. The best was the whale shark. We had 4 opportunities to see and swim with it. Amazing animal. The staff were very helpful making sure you saw and could swim with it. For this trip , you are driven to the site where the boat is anchored offshore and are transported by tender boat. This is close to turquoise bay. Can highly recommend.

Professional skipper and dive leaders . Great food and hospitality.Nothing was a problem and a high standard of safety
Hi there I have been coming to scuba dive Ningaloo Reef at Exmouth since 1993 and have always gone with EDC and have usually stayed for a week diving flat out living the dream diving non stop because it is such a special part of the world. There have been a few owners over the years and it was always a professional set up hence I stayed loyal and then Mark and Deb took over the company who I used to dive with their company in Fremantle in the mid 2000’s. So some years ago they took over here and have taken the dive company to the next professional level and last Friday the 13th of October 2023 we did 2 dives on Lighthouse Bay and it was one of the best trips I have been on! It’s ok to be 100% honest! The marine life on the way out was awesome with humpbacks 🐋 turtles 🐢 a big olive sea snake 🐍 and this is before we went underwater 😎 Then on the first dive having a big Manta glide right past us at the start of the dive was unbelievable. The whole day was exceptional and what makes it is the professional service from the skipper and crew was second to none 😎👍😎 Definitely was like I said one of the best trips I have done on Ningaloo and that is over 50+ dives over the years coming here. Like to thank the dive crews we had and the captain for the great day and such a great dive boat to go on that’s got all the comfort. Looking forward to coming back soon so a big shout out to a great team as was a great day 😎👍😎🇦🇺

We have previously twice swam with the whale sharks at Exmouth, once ~25 years ago and again about 15 years ago with Exmouth Diving. On both occasions the boat would only drop swimmers in no more than twice on the same whale shark and we saw a variety of sizes of sharks. On this trip we were dropped 5 times on the same small shark and that was the extent of the day out.
We also did a diving day before the tour. Whilst the trip and the people were good, the toilet wasn't working

We travel to Exmouth each year for the past 10 years and always use EDC as our go to people. The staff are so so helpful in the office as well as on the water. We always feel completely safe and cared for, they are extremely accommodating with our young son Luca whilst my husband, teenage son and I dive. The amazing places they take us to include Muiron Islands, West side outside the Ningaloo Reef and numerous other diving spots on the Reef. Their enthusiasm never waivers in all these years.....a special shout out to Tibo, Matt Heather Tash 🙏🏻🐢

1/08: First boat day, we saw none whale shark. It’s okay we knew this is the end of the season. BUT we have a friend who was on the other boat( other company) and she swam with whale shark ! So I don’t know why us we haven’t see the whale shark ?!

7/08: 2nd boat trip and the boat decides to return early ( without see the whale shark) because there was too much wind, and the other boats stayed.

It’s good to know the voucher is personal, we can’t sell it !

Hi, we do everything possible to get you a swim with a whaleshark. We work with all of the other boats & as the whalesharks do not stay on the surface forever, they dive deep. On the day you were out 99% of the boats did not see a whaleshark. One other boat had a very small glimpse of a whaleshark deep underwater. We give you a repeat voucher to come again. You chose to use it straight away, & unfortunately was on a rough day. A wiser thing would have been to come back earlier in the season. You ended up seeing whales, Manta rays & Orca's, lots of snorkelling too.

What a Bucket List Day snorkeling with 3 a whale sharks & the team on board hugged me as I cried. Knowing I was being guided by my beautiful husband who recently died & had sent me on a journey to find my happy! Neither he, nor the team disappointed me & to have a gentle giant turning to face me was remarkable. The team calmly helped us keep our distance & not scare them off.

What a fantastic experience this was!

Though we came quite late in the season, we were very lucky enough to be able to swim with a juvenile whale shark, who was very accommodating to our presence.

We had originally been booked with another company, but they contacted us a day before to let us know they'd closed for the season, so transferred us onto Exmouth Dive. The staff and crew were absolutely fantastic! Very friendly and extremely knowledgeable.

      Would highly recommend!

The 2nd time we went in the ocean... while swimming to view a whale shark the cameraman turned and swung the camera hitting me in the head. Not too much blood but a nasty headache so wasnt able to join for 3 more whale shark swims while I waited for the panadol to kick in.
While I get that mistakes can happened his not being aware of his surroundings ruined my day and you would think staff would take more care.
Having every single staff member asking me every 20-30min how I was doing didnt help either. Just have 1 dedicated person to handle accidents.

So be careful of water camera people...

We've been travelling around Australia for 14 months and this is our No1 experience so far. Got 4 swims with a whale shark in late Sept plus 2 awesome reef drift snorkels. Great boat, friendly and fun crew, well organised, good food and drinks, and photos all included. Excellent value. Our 10yo son did it all with us. We were all a bit anxious at first but crew quickly put us at ease with their clear and organised instructions. We also learned loads about Exmouth history and whale sharks and Ningaloo reef. A must do!

Excellent day. Saw lots of humpback whales. We swam with two humpbacks and two Whalesharks- a unique experience.
The crew tried very hard to make sure we got to swim with these animals. Crew was upbeat and did their job well.
We enjoyed our two reef snorkels as well - lots of coral and fish. Also a number of Dolphins.
      Well worth the money.
