    UNBEATABLE EXPERIENCE!
Thank you Dunsborough Whale Watching Crew, we had the BEST time & the performance of the whales was very impressive. No one could surpass our experience on this tour. The staff were all so friendly & accommodating. Very knowledgeable & only too happy to answer all of our questions no matter how silly they may have seemed to them. The patience I heard when children were asking ALOT of questions was so lovely to see, there was no dismissive or off handedness responses because they were kids questions. Could not fault our experience & have already recommended to friends who were also travelling to Margaret River soon after us. Well done Naturaliste Charters & thanks for a wonderful experience.

    Great time!
We went as a family with our 3 boys (7, 10, 13yo) and their grandmother. The guides and captain were friendly and knowledgeable. The boat was quite full with passengers but we were still able to get a good view of the 10-15 humpback whales that we saw this morning along with a pod of 10 dolphins. An unforgettable experience!

    Unbeatable experience
Had our second trip whale watching with Naturaliste Charters and it did not disappoint again! The extension and upgrades to the boat are amazing and give even more room, we saw a pod of 10 humpback whales and were so close, it was an absolutely breathtaking experience again! Great crew as always, and so knowledgeable. The added bonus of taking off at Quindalup beach is of course the aqua blue waters and pristine coastline as you head out and past Meelup and to Eagle Bay. Highly recommend Naturaliste Charters and this special experience.

    Must do whale watching!
We had already seen whales while wandering around the district but wanted to get a bit closer. Oh boy did we get closer! There was no guarantee of whales but we were delighted that there were so many playing in Geographe Bay this afternoon. This is a must do when the whales are heading home or when they are heading out to breed! Best spot to see them!

    A Whale of a Time
The friendly crew were highly informative on the Humpback Whales with amusing and interesting descriptions. The boat was roomy and stable and a great viewing platform. We were amazed at the amount of whales we saw at one stage the boat seemed to be surrounded by pods of whales. Such an excellent trip enjoyed by the whole of the family.

    The money shot
Nice bunch of blokes who made you feel welcome and safe as soon as we met. Had to walk across a little bridge type thing to get into the shuttle boat from the beach. All very easy and safe and well explained. Nice calm trip out to open water where we all had to look for spouting ! One was soon spotted and it was a mum and calf. Took some pics of their backs! Couple more sightings and seems to be alot of the same. Did enjoy it though and the guys were very helpful and knowledgeable.

Disappointing. We saw one mother and one calf but as it didn’t fall into the “no whale policy” we weren't offered a free return trip. I wrote suggesting it would be good for their business if they offered half price return trips when so few whales were sighted as I doubt anyone on this trip would recommend going in November. They replied offering this, and said "They felt just as disappointed, it’s been an amazing season but yesterday was hard, the weather wasn’t great and the whale sightings were low." It would have been nice if they had offered it without having to be prompted. I don't recommend going in November.

Thank you for your review and suggestion. We are just as disappointed as you that the whales did not want to play on the day you visited the bay with us. We hope that you will be able to join us again next season. We really do appreciate your honest feedback.

I went on one of Naturaliste Charter's whale watching tours in Dunsborough and I can honestly say that it was one of the best experiences of my life! As one who is (unfortunately) prone to seasickness, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the boat was not smooth and very stable. We saw tonnes of whales throughout the tour and the crew was nice enough to extend our time slot by a bit just because there were so many breaching humpbacks! It felt good to support a 100% locally owned and operated family business and the experience from the crew was 10/10. Brodee (the marine biologist on board) was just exceptional and had so much knowledge to share. There were also plenty of kids onboard, so I would definitely say that it is a kid-friendly activity. Please do yourself a favour and book yourself a tour the next time you're in the Southwest - you won't be disappointed!

Such a wonderful afternoon! Highly recommend this company - super knowledgeable (Brodee), lovely staff and a great boat.

It was a calm day (though still rough moments and a bit of sea sickness in our group!) so the whales were quiet but the Humpbacks we saw were great and we were able to spend some time watching Mum and Calf playing ❤️

Towards the end we heard there were Blue Whales nearby so headed back out and got to see them! Very very lucky indeed.

Would recommend this 100%

Such a great tour. The staff were brilliant from start to finish. The skipper, Dundee, welcomed many of us into the cabin area out of the cold and answered our endless questions with so much enthusiasm. My 3 year old even had a little nap in his office! We didn’t see much to start with but the crew wouldn’t settle for that and they extended the tour time so we could enjoy these majestic beauties. In the end we had 3 or 4 whales who were loving our presence and clearly wanted to show off!

Incredible experience with Naturaliste Charters, great crew and spacious boat with small guest numbers so we had heaps of space and room to view. The whales sure put on a show for us with non stop breaches and lots of fun with mum and baby calves in the area. We have visited nearly all of the marine life tours throughout WA and this is by far the best value and bang for your buck. Thanks for some amazing memories!

We went out few weeks ago and didn’t get to sight anything over the 2 hour ride after spending close to $200. Now we get offered a ‘no-whale’ revisit. Be mindful of no refunds if you are not local to re-visit or if you happen to visit this side of the country rarely. Great staff who hosted us well on the day.

Thank you for joining us on a whale watching tour, I'm really sorry we couldn't show you any whales! Fortunately sighting no whales doesn't happen often but as they are wildlife it can happen every now and then. Our policy clearly states on the small chance you don't see whales you would be welcome to join us again for free. I'm really sorry, we do try our best! It's a shame your not close by so you can join us again, thank you for the kind comment about our crew,

We took the 10am tour and it was fantastic. The staff were friendly and knowledgable. We saw heaps of hump back whales, and were lucky enough to see two whales playing around with a pod of dolphins, spinning upside down and slapping their fins on the water. I would definitely recommend this tour, well worth the time and money.

Great tour searching for whales. Expert marine biologist on board for all information about local whales.
Whales were hiding at first, but the crew persisted in the search and we were treated to a superb and extended spectacle of a whale tail thrashing the water doing “headstands” in the ocean.
A beach transfer to the large catamaran tour boat - but our feet were kept dry by a competent crew.

We had an excellent time, they did their best in trying to get us all to experience whale sightings with the weather being a bit cloudy and dull.
But they did it, and we had an absolute brilliant time and saw so many whales in different forms of flight and fin flapping!
They also provide tea and coffee and biscuits inclusive in the price.
The most outstanding team member on the boat was Kyle, he made it for us, as he was so enthusiastic, and funny and really passionate about his job.
We will definitely go out with this company again, next time we are down that way, and truly recommend them if you are thinking of going whale watching in the Dunsborough region.
Thanks for a memorable trip! :-)
