About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- ShawJGTJ0 contributionsInformative & educational and heaps of funWe spent a great morning with Mick and Ryan learning heaps about flora and fauna from the area. Saw heaps of whales and dolphins and stacks of native orchids. Thanks for a fantastic day guys.Written 13 September 2024
- Deborah H0 contributionsDo take this tourWe were collected promptly from our resort by the guys. They obviously know the area and it's flora and fauna very well. We walked in several different areas and thoroughly enjoyed learning from them all sorts of interesting facts. We also got to try some local produce which was a tasty end to the tour in the company of kangaroos. We particularly loved the tiny carnivorous plants and the fantastic nightjar. These guys really know there stuff and we thoroughly recommend this tour.Written 8 September 2024
- Inspiration2316900 contributionsEducational, interesting and fun!Ryan and Mic were great. They picked us up at our hotel right on time. Turned out we were the only ones on the tour that day. What a remarkable and pleasant experience. We were not really sure what to expect but they had a wealth of information about the areas that we visited and the locations where we stopped were breath taking. We also stopped at 2 wineries and a chocolate factory. It was a truly educational, interesting and fun afternoon. Thank you!!Written 10 May 2024
- SLS810 contributionsMagicalMagical, charming and idyllic. Imagine you're Ratty or Mole drifting down Margaret River, nibbling on honey and bread at an ancient aboriginal water hole, and traipsing through a wild, wind-blown trail to the most beautiful Australian beach. A most civilised and yummy picnic lunch and wine at a winery in between. Don't think about this, just book it - the likelihood will be that it's booked out. So good that ours was a repeat visit, and it took us 6 tries. Great for any age - my 10 year old kiddo was having a blast with 70 plus yr old tour companions - all taken care of with TLC by Sean.Written 3 May 2024
- p_toasty0 contributionsAmazing views, wine and chocolate. We did a half day afternoon tour. The whole experience was very informative. We went to places we had never been to before, and we are from Perth. We were told so much about the history of the area that we did not know about. The wineries we went to were completely different from each other. The wines and the service from both places were outstanding. Happy, helpful and knowledgeable. We also went to a beautiful boutique chocolate makers called Gabriel Chocolate. Again, the story behind the making of the chocolate was well explained, and needless to say we enjoyed a few tastings. The van we were in was brand new and very comfortable. We stopped and had a glass of wine with bread and some smooth local olive oil, overlooking 3 beautiful bays and we even saw dolphins. Binoculars were provided and were crystal clear. We highly recommend doing a tour with this company, kept us up to date at all stages and our guide was really down to earth. We will definitely be doing a different tour next time we are in Busselton. Five stars!Written 26 April 2024
- V3533YGtraceyt0 contributionsA wonderful day out, taking in the sights and experiences of the local region. We had a wonderful experience on this outing. Ryan and Mick were very accommodating and informative. They knew the region so well and were able to impart personalised stories and information. It was such a unique, educational and personalised tour of the local offerings and we could not have asked for better tour guides!Written 27 March 2024
- barley20 contributionsFabulous trip!We were very fortunate that we were the only customers & had a wonderful tour with the two fab guides (who are brothers). They are interesting & knowledgable & showed us the most beautiful sights. We were also provided a delicious platter of local produce, whilst watching dolphins with amazing views of the bay. We did a short enjoyable walk on one of the trails. The guys were great to chat to & we were looked after very well. Thank you!Written 26 March 2024
- cleo54c0 contributionsNatures WayIf you love nature this is a great tour. Mark certainly knows all the areas to take you to to view the wild life, explain the history and show some spectacular views. We went and kangaroos on golf course that is used in the off season as it is a dust bowl. The kangaroos were all resting under the trees and here we had morning tea which was well receive. Mark also explained about plant life and the different vegetation with names, how old they were and how to tell, and what they could be used for. Highly recommend especially if visiting by cruise ship as better than what they offer.Written 28 February 2024

We stopped at some beautiful places and went to two really good wine tastings. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour. We definitely recommend it when visiting Busselton!Written 30 January 2024
- davidfU1257MM0 contributionsMore knowledge, friends, favorite wines and sights explored.Great trip. Ryan rang to ask if we wanted to change our date so we could go with another couple instead of just by ourselves. Given that wineries we easily opted to change the date to share the fun with others and we are glad we did. As it tiurned out there were 3 couples and Mick and Ryan. We learnt a lot, saw some great scenery and met some great people whilst sampling amazing wines. The next day, we even returned to one of the beaches we liked from the tour. We wouldn't have known about that beach if we didn't go on the tour.Written 15 January 2024

- geoffbrownhome0 contributionsA Great ExperienceThis tour was adapted to meet the needs of our cruise ship anchored off Busselton.Despite a late departure due to late arrival of passengers, Mick and Ryan provided an entertaining and informative tour. They are both very proud of their local environment and it's difficult not to gain their enthusiasm. The local sourced snacks and drinks were an added bonus. Thanks for a great few hours.Written 12 January 2024

We had a fantastic time on the nocturnal tour last night! We saw kangaroos, woylies, bandicoots, brushtail possums and a ringtail possum. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in native fauna, and also for children - our children (ages 8 and 6) had the best time, and Ryan and Mick answered all of their questions, and went over and above to show them points of interest in the bush. No need to worry about rainy weather as the guys have a shelter set up so you can stay nice and dry. I’m so happy we booked this tour - we don’t usually do tours in our own state, but will definitely be doing more after this great experience. The kids loved feeding the kangaroos and seeing the joeys in the pouches, and also the baby possum!

Thank you so much for your kind words about our nocturnal wildlife tour. Animal numbers are strong at this point, and it's so fantastic to read the kids enjoyed the experience as much as the adults. Its also great to hear that we possibly reinvigorated your enthusiasm for local touring experiences. We wish your all safe travels and thanks for highly recommending us!
Cheers Ryan and Mick.

This was a fantastic tour. We didn’t know anything about the Woylie’s until we went on this tour and we are now passionate about saving them. We couldn’t believe how close the nocturnal animals came to us and that it was safe to pat and feed the kangaroos. Loved seeing the possums and the bandicoots in action too. Ryan and Mick were excellent hosts. They really looked after all of us, including our mesmerised little kids. They are clearly passionate about what they do and their enthusiasm for animals and nature is infectious. We highly recommend this tour.

What an enjoyable evening! Being picked up from our accommodation was a bonus. Just on dusk we reached the 100-acre conservation block at Yelverton Brook and set off on an easy stroll. We had to laugh when we realised we were being closely trailed and hustled by several young kangaroos eager for a feed. Once we reached the clearing in the bush, we sat peacefully under the Milky Way and listened to the tour leaders sharing their knowledge of indigenous plants, insects, animals and conservation projects. Ryan and Mick are enthusiastic, knowledgeable and importantly, local. Soon we had bandicoots around our feet, possums above and behind us, and the young roos practically in our laps. Later in the night the rarer woylies arrived for their visit. It was a treat to see so many wild animals pretty much ignoring our presence and just getting on with their own lives, and they stayed so long we could really look closely at their features and watch their behaviours. This tour is delightful. Do it soon before the crowds of overseas tourists return!

Thank you for writing an online personal perspective of our nocturnal wildlife encounter. We often observe a change of animal behaviour as the seasons progress, commonly unveiling different wildlife for all to observe. We loved read you both had a delightful experience. We wish you safe travels and adventures for the future.

We booked the nocturnal tour because we wanted to do something different rather than just go to all the breweries and wineries. We felt this would be a great opportunity to get more insight into the true beauty of this region.
When we arrived at pickup we found out that it would just be the 2 of us on this tour which made the experience even more enjoyable and intimate for us.
Mick and Ryan were both very informative and friendly and answered any questions we had, plus taught us something new about every animal and some of the local vegetation.
We got to see lots of kangaroos, bandicoots, brush tail possums and of course woylies. We even got to hand feed some of the kangaroos. It was awesome being so close to these local animals not in a zoo or farm.
We would definitely recommend their tour and can't wait to do it again next time we come down, aswell as their day time one 😀
A massive thanks to Mick and Ryan, Keep up up great work guys!

Fantastic experience. We booked online and Ryan and Mick picked us up from our B&B which was great. They gave us some local history on the way and a video showing some lovely photos they have taken.
Once we arrived we were given a little briefing and taken through the bush to a little seating area.
Mick and Ryan had some 'kangaroo musli' and once they put this special food out it wasn't long before we encountered several kangaroos. As the night progressed we also saw possums, bandicoots and woylies up close.
There was ample opportunities to take photos and ask questions. Mick and Ryan gave us lots of information about the forna and flora. We had a Billy tea and cookie as we were waiting. We even saw some woof spiders on the way back.
We had a fantastic evening and Ryan and Mick are so passionate about what they do. Definitely worth booking a tour. It's also good to know that some of the cost goes towards maintaining the electric fence to stop predators getting into the area.

We had really great time. We got to see Woylies, kangaroos, brush tail possums, ring tail possums, bandicoots, and multiple other nocturnal animals. The tour was very informative. We didn't know that some of the nocturnal animals glow under UV lights. I couldn't take a good photo of woylies glowing in bright pink under UV light as they were very shy and moved very fast. The brush tail possum's feets and tail glow in green. The two hosts were very kind and friendly. They really looked after us. Even though we were very shy, they approached each of us and tried to give much information. We could feed and pet kangaroos. They were so cute. We got to see different sizes of kangaroos. The billy tea and home made biscuits were amazing. It was freezing cold in the bush at night time and the billy tea was perfect for the night. And I wished I could have more biscuits because it was so yummy. I couldn't asked for more. Highly recommend.

We, two pensioners, our daughter and her partner, plus plus our 6 year old granddaughter, thoroughly enjoyed this trip.
We were collected from our caravan park together with one other couple and taken to the site at around sunset.
Our group walked along a bush trail until we came to a small clearing with bench seats where we waited.
Soon a number of Kangaroos appeared as if out of nowhere, followed shortly by Bandicoots, Woylies and Possums.
Our granddaughter was enchanted at being so close to these wild creatures and we were just as delighted.
Our guides were very knowledgeable and fielded many questions throughout the night.
All of us would genuinely recommend this as a unique experience.

Wow!!! What a great adventure for the family. My wife, 2 children (9 and 11) and I absolutely loved this tour. Booked as part of a 40th birthday trip for my wife.
I don’t normally write reviews but this place deserves one!
Ryan and Mick were great as guides, sharing their extensive knowledge of the area and the animals we met.
We were picked up from our doorstep in Busselton at 7pm and driven a short 20 minute journey to the reserve to begin our tour that was worth every cent!!! We saw Kangaroos, Bandicoots, possums, birds, spiders, centipedes, frogs and the awesome little woylies!
During the trip we were treated to some Billy tea for the adults and hot chocolate for the kids with homemade cookies.
If you are staying in the Busselton/Dunsborough area then this is one trip that you will love.
I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this trip!!!!

Mick and Ryan were great your hosts, very interpersonal and passionate about the wild life. As the tour was 7.15 to 9.30pm we were a bit worried about our 4 year old grandson lasting the distance. We should not have worried as we were all entertained by the animals and commentary.
You go to a private reserve and once inside you only need walk about 200m from the car park to the wild life meeting spot who are attracted by the dry food recommended by Perth Zoo. You can get up close and personal, feeding or touching some of the animals. The children had hot chocolates and adults lemon myrtle tea.
Did some star gazing with the lights off at the end and observed spiders and insects on the walk back.
Thank you for a memorable experience with our 3 grandchildren.

Thanks for writing such an awesome review! We love getting everyone involved on this tour and provide commentary that is relatable for everyone. The star gazing is an added bonus of being away from all the lights of town and having exclusive tour access makes this tour a special experience.

I suppose that means that you all will be taking a break then and no tours will be running? Cos it just happens that I’ll only be in Busselton on 18th & 19th June
nights :(
