- FluffyPink70 contributionsAbsolutely super . Much recommend trip seeing hump backsAbsolutely superb. Lucky to see 6 pods of hump back whales, mums with their calves interacting with each other and the boat. Loads of space upper and lower decks, inside and outside. Lovely, knowledgable commentary and excellent service by the family run team. Much recommendedWritten 20 October 2024
- Ledyhernando T0 contributionsOverall, we had a fantastic time on the whale watching cruise. We must say, it was an unforgettable journey filled with excitement and natural beauty. During the cruise, we were thrilled to witness the whales in their natural habitat, and we were particularly amazed to see them playfully interacting with the dolphins. It was truly a breathtaking sight that I will always remember.Written 21 September 2024
- Katherine O0 contributionsAmazing! The whales where so close!Myself and my Grandma loved this experience earlier this week. We were lucky enough to stumble across two male humpbacks that were eager to show off and entertain us for nearly an hour. The experience of seeing that beautiful giants up close and personal was extraordinary. Couldn’t have asked for a better day out at sea or for a better team of people, all lovely and just as excited as the passengers at times. I would highly recommend this trip out 💙Written 18 September 2024
- N1267GPmichaelc0 contributionsAmazing experienceThe staff really knew what they were doing!! We saw a few humpbacks and they came so close to the boat. It was incredible. Being able to access the professional photos that are taken for no extra cost is a great added bonus. Only issue was that it was hard to hear the commentary at the back over the motos, I quickly relocated. Definitely recommend.Written 8 September 2024
- carnabombers0 contributionsAbsolutely fabulousWhat a wonderful trip. Crew are amazing. Very friendly and willing to share their knowledge. We had the privilege of alerting the rescue teams to rescue a whale who got a bit tangled in a Cray pot. That's cool that the captain was able to call that in and stayed in the area to ensure a rescue. We saw a number of humpbacks who were very curious about the boat. Great tour, worth every dollar and some. The back office team also did a great job. They moved us forward as the weather forecast for our scheduled trip was going to he rough. Thanks team. Highly recommend.Written 7 September 2024
- DayTrip537279750100 contributionsA must do experience when in Perth.I absolutely love whales and This experience was beyond my expectations of seeing them close up in real life. We were so fortunate to have about 10 whales around our boat. And the crew was so experienced and so knowledgeable. I would totally recommend this experience when you go to Perth.Written 5 September 2024
- Navigate7564440 contributionsWonderful Blue Whale watching experience April 202426th of April 2024. I had dreamt of this my whole life and I knew deep down there was a chance we wouldn’t see blue whales because you know…nature and all, but I wasn’t disappointed. I travelled from Victoria with my family just for this for my 50th birthday. I cannot fault the team at Whale Watch Western Australia. The staff (all female crew yay, bar the skipper) were fantastic. Wonderful hospitality for all of us. It was well worth it in my opinion to see even a glimpse. The way they managed to track them was amazing! The photographs supplied were great as well. The commentary was knowledgeable and professional. Just remember that when you are going to see Blue Whales you’re not going to see the full size of the giant as they don’t breach. I cannot thank you all enough for my special day! ❤️Written 7 May 2024
- Eden545140 contributionsFeels like I keep being taken for a rideI was booked on this last year. Ever since I was a little kid I have wanted to see a blue whale and I was so excited, even though I am so prone to sea sickness and it is an ordeal for me to go so far out to sea. I spent a fortune on seasickness tablets and set aside the day, only to be told the day before that they had decided to postpone it a day. This meant the trip was on mother's day and I, like many other people, had a family commitment. I was so disappointed and had to wait a whole year. Anyway, they were going for one weekend this year. I booked weeks in advance, got the sea sickness tablets, got up early, paid a fortune for parking and then spent seven hours out at sea feeling sick and seeing no whales. I get nature tours are unpredictable, but thr girl commentating sounded desperate to see a whale from the beginning and had zero confidence in her voice that we would. I have never heard such uncertainty on a tour before. I wish I had known that I was paying the GDP per capital of a small African country for only a very small chance of seeing a whale. She was just excited when we finally saw dolphins, which I have seen many of. I was kicked off the bow by another customer for no reason and couldn't see much anyway. We are offered a voucher to come back as part of their no sighting policy. No refunds. Well, I have spewed my guts up all over the deck of their orca tour and humpbacks are easy enough to see. It means waiting a whole year to pay even more for parking, before a 2 hour trip just to get to the watching site, followed by a whole five hours of driving around in the off chance that we may see one. I predict another year and another disappointment. And a lot can happen in a year that you can't go. They need to be way more honest and not mess people around.Written 26 April 2024

I didn't take any sea sickness tablets having recently been on a motor yacht from Gold Coast to Sydney and being OK BUT whilst I didnt vomit I got close seeing what seemed like half the boat vomiting. Crew were great at handling everyone but TAKE THE ADVICE and take some tablets the night before and in the morning as it is rough!
Once we got to the end of the continental shelf and we sore the Orcas I was distracted enough to be fine and really appreciate what we were able to witness. A pod devouring their dinner - sadly another whale but we didn't see that at the time. Just lots of Orca's loving life. The shearwater birds and an albatross all taking advantage of scraps making it an amazing experience.
I was able to take some good photos from up front on my phone and some videos but having the professional photos free to download was an added bonus !
Really recommend the trip just take tablets as it is the big wide bumpy ocean!
Loved it thanks for this experience and knowledge.

Truly magical experience seeing orcas up close in the wild. The crew were fantastic and extremely knowledgeable, sharing information over the PA system and looking after guests however they could.
Unfortunately the whole day was somewhat ruined by extreme sea sickness, only being able to watch the orcas for about 5 mins total in between throwing up. Despite taking tablets in the prior to departure as instructed, the vomiting continued for 7 out of the 8 hour trip, with many other guests also being struck down. $400 for a day of vomiting into a plastic bag wasn’t the best. It would have been a really lovely touch for the crew to have boxed up some of the food we had paid for but were unable to eat, to enjoy once our land legs kicked in!

We did an orca tour in Bremer Bay. It was one of the best days we ever experienced. We saw 4 families and around 75 orcas, some of which come close to the boat to have a look at us. The young ones were playful, breaching and chasing flying fish. If you want to see orcas, this is the place.
The organization and explanations were really good. One of the crew commented live on behavior of the orcas and pointed out where they were. Food was served throughout the day, so no sit down lunch, which was great as you can keep on watching the orcas. Food was tasteful and staff was excellent.

This boat trip should perhaps be re-classified as “Adventure Tourism”!
The boat proceeded out in incredibly rough ocean waters that resulted in about 65% of the guests on board being seriously seasick. At times it resembled a hospital triage scene, with bodies lying on the floor and sitting bent over in terrible state of distress.
Credit to the lovely junior staff on board who worked incredibly hard constantly handing out and replacing full vomit bags. Yuk!
Discussing this with staff on board, they advised the trip was on the edge of cancellation given the extreme conditions on the sea. When raising this with one of the skippers on board he replied with words to the effect: “It’s the Southern Ocean, what do you expect!”
Yes, in the fine print of the booking terms they did suggest taking motion sickness medication. Most people on board had done this and yet were still either moderately or violently seasick due to the extreme conditions.
What is most disappointing is the Operator constantly pushes their 100% “Safety“ record. Even requiring guests at the onboard briefing to directly support them in maintaining this record. Surely there must be consideration to practically include some level of “Guest Comfort” within the scope of safety. Many people on board agreed with this and were seriously disappointed.
Yes, we did sometimes see some beautiful Orcas on the ocean, but most of us had our heads down in vomit bags more often than not!
We discussed the tour with the local Tourist Office and they equally agreed re the wild sea conditions often prevalent at this time of year. They advised they always seriously warn people of the extreme sea conditions prior to a booking.
It’s a pity the operator doesn’t seem to do this also in their website and promotions, versus focusing only on their “safety” record. Some fine print regards taking medication does not really address the significance of the uncomfort people experienced.
One family on board had spent over $1,000 to do the trip, only to then spend the whole day with all of them being seriously ill.
In the end, the boat was forced to return about one hour early due to the intense sea conditions.
Surely a better approach would’ve been to cancel the trip on the day out of respect for the comfort of their guests.
2 stars for the review, simply to recognise the efforts of the lovely junior crew in assisting so many seriously ill people on board. It’s a pity this empathy wasn’t shown by the Operators who chose to conduct the tour in such intense conditions.

Hello Jason < We see you are making the rounds of our social media which confirms to us the lack of integrity in your review and appear like an associate of our competitor by your actions. One would think a grown man would have the courage to speak with us directly if you have any genuine complaints, not hide behind a keyboard in troll like fashion. One would also think you would have something better to do than attack a family company especially in tourism after the pandemic we have just worked through, perhaps that says a lot more about you than it does about our tour.
We have contacted all our other guests and received 5 star reviews of the same day even though some of our customers were seasick, which happens in a small percentage of most day long tours. They however, did not choose to cowardly hide behind a keyboard but were honest in saying they loved the tour even though they did not prepare properly with motion sickness medication. On your own admission you said you didn't read the 'fine print' in regard to taking accountability for your motion sickness prior to the tour, which you did not do so perhaps reading and listening prior to travelling on the Southern Ocean for a full day is the cause of your problem and now you want some to blame. You under estimated the conditions and over estimated your ability to cope.
To reciprocate your copy and paste vindictive venting, here is the answers we gave you last time...
Hi Jason, A very strange review bordering on suspicious as we have never had a review so poorly misconstrued and quite insulting considering the effort we as a team put into our preparation to ensure customers satisfaction. Regardless, the facts are the wind was 20 knot easterlies and a swell of 1.5m which is quite a normal day in the southern ocean during summer. None of our Captains spoke with you at anytime and we would not use that type of manner with our guests. The vessel was not forced to return to port and we operated on our usual schedule however the Orca had moved further to the west and after the Pilot Whales chased the Orca quite further to the west, the trip home would of taken longer and we had a plane waiting for some of our Orca Air guests. We do indeed have a 100% safety record and we also advise all customers to prepare for the tour in all conditions. Our crew catered to your every need, as you have attested to and we are always flexible to move people to another date but unless you notify us of your vulnerability, there is not much more we can do to assist. Most of our customers were astounded with the breaching Orca which happens regularly when the winds pickup, that is the main reason for attending, viewing Orca, we are in their environment which is in the Southern Ocean. The feedback we received by others were 5 star and absolutely could not believe the action which you can see on the link below. Your opinion is not the opinion of the feedback we have received directly from customers on the day and through social media. Unfortunately, a small percentage of people use social media to misconstrue or indeed try to harm business's by such reviews and most of your review is not correct or factual. I would suggest that you do not seek out ocean tourism if you are as susceptible to motion sickness and if you are disappointed with a tour, please speak directly with us, our whole family is onboard and we are there to assist in anyway possible to make sure you enjoy your tour instead of venting your frustrations through your own lack of preparation. The fact you did not speak with us directly sheds a light the accountability of you as a customer in preparation and on the weakness of manipulated review systems when it comes to handling guests feedback. The female crew, who are marine biologists by the way, advised us of their disappointment after looking after you for 7 hours and said you can keep your 2 stars as a face to face discussion is their preferred manner to express yourself.
Check out the Daily Whale for the pictures and evidence of your tour, it shows quite clearly the spectacular action and the conditions, please note the lack of swell.

Planned to have this trip for almost two years, after the border restrictions has been lifted, I booked the ticket right away from Melbourne heading straight to Albany, Western Australia (well I have to stop via Perth first ) the tour was amazing and full of whale information, also the crews were attentive and friendly.
The crew tried to provide the utmost services to make you feel welcome and relax, they are willing to assist you in anyway when the seasick hit you so hard. I do recommend to take a seasick tablet on the night before you get on board, and another one on the day of the trip. Those tablets will save and help you during the trip on the roughest sea.
On the day of the tour, we met little Warnie (the cub without the dorsal fin) he was so adorable and he tried to imitating the breeching like the adults orca, such a wonderful experience to witness this little amazing orca.
Finally, this trip and combined with great crews were everything that I was hyped to joining from the last two years, after I joined the pod, I came back to Melbourne with full of joy and happiness. They are the best !!!

We did the Bremer Bay Orca Experience with Whale Watch Western Australia in Feb 2023. What an amazing day! We were very well looked after, from checking in at the wharf to departing in the afternoon. The vessel is large and comfortable with plenty of room to move around. Coffee, tea, drinks and snacks available and we were offered food frequently throughout the day. We had a lovely fine day but there were significant swells when we reached the Bremer Canyon. We spent several hours following the orcas (without interfering with them in any way). The commentary was very good and the knowledge of the crew was outstanding. The crew were very attentive and friendly, happy to have a chat and answer a myriad of questions. We saw many, many orcas and pilot whales - it was amazing. I would recommend this tour to anyone - just make sure you dose up on travel sick tablets (it is a long day in the Southern Ocean) and take a warm jacket. Photos are supplied free of charge . Loved our day - Thank you Whale Watch Western Australia (The white boat ) :D

I decided to give my wife a birthday surprise by booking this tour as Orcas are one of her favorite animals in the world.
On the morning of the big day we were warmly welcomed by the fantastic crew and started our journey to experience these majestic beasts 'the Orcas' in the wild.
Not even half way to the 'patch' my wife was sea sick and she was very well looked after by the crew. The service was exceptional. I think the crew checked her every 5 minutes refreshing all her needs.
When a crew member said 'I saw a blow' i knew this was the moment. We were in the midst of some pods where the Orcas came towards the vessel instead of the other way around. the captain was so calm respecting the behavior of the Orcas and we saw so many of them.
My wife missed out 95% of the action but just the one time she came to the bow three Orcas came so close and greeted her and played around just for a few seconds just before she got sick again and went back in.
She was so happy BUT we will definitely come again to enjoy being around these fantastic beasts!
I can not thank the crew enough for their friendly support and service!
We will be back!

Hi Mario
Humbled by your kind words and so delighted you enjoyed your time with the Western Australian Orcas.
We look forward to having you back onboard very soon.
*A recommendation is to take kwells the night before and again in the morning with a light breakfast, mostly it does help if your wife is susceptible to motion sickness. Please see a Doctor or Pharmacist prior to taking anything.
Kind regards

I'm not sure I have the words to say how amazing an experience this was. I have wanted to see orcas for 35 years and they certainly lived up to my dreams.
We opted for the captains lounge and were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived. Although there is not a bad spot on board, so any way you can experience it is worth every cent.
Drew the captain speaks of the orcas as you would your own family. His absolute love for them is so apparent, it is just beautiful. Hearing some of his own personal experiences on the journey home was a high light, as was every moment spent with those beautiful creatures. All of the crew are lovely and you learn so much from the commentary.
You actually get to spend long enough with the orcas to learn something of their personalities and see how they interact with each other.
It is certainly a once in a life time experience, but there is no way I'm only doing it once. We are already planning our next trip.

I had booked a cruise to see the Orcas for my partners birthday as she has a keen interest in Orcas, Mantas and whales in general.
It's a professionally run and smooth operation from start to finish including the interaction with the wildlife encountered.
We were kept up to date by the company on the lead up, we were greeted at the harbour with a place to sit if needed and a glass of juice.
The entire crew (including the dog) were smartly dressed and easy to identify. They went out of their way to make us comfortable and to feel welcome, The journey out was an eye opener as we were traveling at about 25 knots with 2 great rooster tails out the back.
It didn't take long to locate the first pod of Orcas most of whom the crew had names for and could identify by their markings.
My partner spent the contact time on the forward deck that is well designed for the purpose. She had a great time watching the Orcas around the boat for a couple of hours at least (not the same pod though) as the skipper moved the boat to a different location at one point and they got to see the newest addition to the family 'Baby Grace' at 13 days old. The sea was alive with Orcas, Albatross and other sea birds she got to see the Orcas go on a hunt for lunch then share it with the pod.
Unfortunately despite having many sea hours under my belt and having taken precautions 'Just in case' so as not to spoil her special day, I succumbed to the worst bout of 'mal de mer' in my life and missed 99% of the action.
The crew were fantastic, I woke to find myself covered with a warm blanket and was able to listen to the running commentary over the P/A system so I didn't completely miss out.
On the return journey we passed in close to "Glasse Island" to observe the Sea Lions (no extra charge :) ).
All in all a great day out and well worth the effort. Thanks.

Hi A994D
Thankyou for the fantastic review and we are delighted you enjoyed your time with the Orcas (minus the mal de mer).
Hopefully you can get back out with us at some stage in the near future.
Pleasure having you both onboard.
Kind Regards

Incredible experience. I was hoping to see orcas. But I never thought we'd see sooo many orcas.
The crew was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was enormously delicious.
We even saw sea lions at the end.
Now for my tips.
Make sure you bring enough clothes. Even if it is warm enough on land, it is cold at sea. It was cloudy with us and I ended up wearing a bib top, long sleeve shirt, gilet, long pants, scarf and headband. Also if a wave comes some were plot wet and had nothing to change with them.
Another tip. If they don't like the lift feeling in the stomach when it goes down too fast. Think about it again. The tour lasted 7 hours and I felt sorry for those who got seasick in the first hours. Because even when the boat was not sailing it wavy quite strongly.
Even I, who fortunately did not become seasick, was grateful when it finally did not wavy when I sailed back.

Really hoping to come and do an orca experience with you on either the 4 or 5 of March, but can’t find anywhere near by to stay! Just wondering if you have any suggestions? We are a party of 3.
