Just the best! Our guide Eschneider is knowledgeable about food, about his neighborhood, about the cultures we ate our way through, and the layers of history that made NYC what it is today. He was a delightful and engaging conversationalist.

This tour was an unexpected journey around the Americas and different parts of the world. Such fun learning about the different diasporas and experiencing their food. Esnider knows so much and was really good at gauging our hunger levels 😀 always a great experience with Culinary Backstreet Tours.

Sierra was very knowledgeable about the food and local history and their origin sources, they explained things well and answered all questions we had, great guide overall. The food was also fantastic, very flavorful and big in portions, ate enough food for 2 days and was so stuffed and could barely walk at the end. Highly recommend

We experienced and learned about more cuisines from the global south than I ever expected when my friend and I signed up for the Queens Corona tour during our weekend in NY. Our guide, Schneider, was the icing on the cake, giving us important perspective and insight into the neighborhoods we visited, with lots of humour thrown in. The group size was also perfect!

Sierra gave us the best food of our lives! The history and food stops were the bomb. We tried a wide variety of ethnic cuisine it was amazing. Would definitely take another tour with Sierra when we travel back to NYC

I took this tour with Esneider and loved it. I really liked the mix of delicious foods from different Asian backgrounds and history about Flushing and greater Queens. Esneider was really friendly, knowledgeable, and was just an overall wonderful guide. Make sure to come hungry, and pace yourself! I highly recommend this tour and will be telling friends to go when they are in town.

What a day with Sierra! With their professional culinary training and experience, Sierra was so knowledgeable about both food and history, pacing our group of 6 ladies well and adjusting to our food sensitivities on the fly. Not only did we get to sample (actually, much more than sample) a wide variety of Asian foods, but we also spent time in an Asian grocery store (where I, a Chinese-American, learned quite a lot!) and talked about Flushing's Shaker roots at the Bowen House. This was one of the best food tours we've taking around the world, some with Culinary Backstreets. Highly, highly recommend this tour with Sierra as well as the United Kitchens tour with Esneider!

They were incredibly accommodating and a joy to get to know! My husband and I had been on the other Queens full day tour and really enjoyed it so signed up for this one. Our guide Sierra gave great historical context for the area and kept everyone happy with food choices and a relaxed pace. She also was great about sharing other tips and info with our questions. We were blessed with beautiful weather. The food was outstanding and we will definitely go back to that area in the future. It was a wonderful experience that I would highly recommend to see a different part of NYC.

Sierra was a great guide! Their food and restaurant choices were excellent, and I really enjoyed the information they provided on the history of Flushing. Unexpected things - the grocery store, the post office, the synagogue - really enhanced the tour. They were very patient with my partner and I - we did wander off a bit in the grocery store. Next time I'm in the city, I'm going to sign up for the Corona tour. Thank you, Sierra!
