This review will not describe the usual stuff but we meant it was worthwile to share our story with the community. We booked our Whale Safari Tour somewhere in May 2024 and payed our deposit. Did we we know then how things would turn out concerning the weather by the time we were expected for our safari. Winter was long this year and one cold front after another hit the cape. In August there had been already a lot of cancellations due harsch weather but we were confident that by the time of end September/Beginning of Oktober weather would have improved so we were not worried at all. But things came different as expected and a little less than a week before sailing and weather forecast not looking good as another storm was announced we were contacted by Ivanhoe Sea Safaris they were cancelling the Wale trip and asked us to point out another date later. Unfortunately that was impossible for us since we would leave for home a few days later. Immediately they offered us a payback and did every effort to make it right but bank control was making things difficult. However we managed to find a suitable solution for all. It is important to us to share this review than it was more important to Ivanhoe Sea Safaris to keep the honor to themselves and having satisfied guests by cancel the trip with a payback of deposit than to sail out knowing there would not be much whales to see and most people getting sea sick. Whenever we wil have another opportunity to have another try to see whale up close on an open ocean we will not hasitate and book with Ivanhoe Sea Safaris again without doubt. We were touring the early weeks of whale watching season, but our diligent Captain and crew made sure we saw whales. We saw Bright and Right Whales

Booked a trip with Ivanhoe for an afternoon tour. The trip kept getting put off and eventually settled for an early morning one that my 6 year old was not keen on but she loves whales. While boarding overheard a crew member say that they were out the day before which was ordinary after been cancelled on twice already! The tour was so disappointing as they spent the first 1.25hrs looking at seals and dolphins which were everywhere and then had no time to look for whales. No whales!!!!

Great trip today, excellent safety briefing (shame all the guests didn’t listen), advised from the outset we might only see birds & seals and we did. Unfortunately there was a technical glitch but the great crew kept everyone informed & got everyone back in safely. Highly recommend.

Very nice tour with perfect weather. We saw seals, dolphins and even a whale. Nice professional crew and a modern boat.

We went with the family and we saw some amazing whale activity. The crew did their best to help us have a good experience. It was good organized and we all enjoyed the experience!

Was quite interesting.A bit long for some people who showed signs of seasickness.Must be because of the strong winds.Sea life was a bit shy it seems..but with nature you are always at risk of not knowing what you will see .

We found the agency on Internet. They are very proactive and well organized! The crews is providing plenty of information while seeing the whales and are making yourself comfortable!! If you are in the area and looking for something, do not miss them!!

Thank you Ivanhoe team for this amazing experience, also the kids loved it! We had hoped for seeing maybe 1-2 whales but we got to see far more than that! At least 15 whales, mums with babies, some of them swimming right next to the boat. What an unforgettable experience to get so close to these magnificent animals! The Ivanhoe team takes the best care of their guests. We got a briefing by the skipper up front and the guide provided so much valuable info about the whales, also answering any question we had. A big thank you to the whole team for this amazing trip! I would recommend this trip to everyone, old and young!

Ivanhoe Sea Safaris offered an excellent service! We had great sightings of whales (cows and calfs). The drive with the mini bus was very comfortable, we had enough space. The boat was good and there was room to move around to see the whales from different perspectives. On the way back we had a lovely lunch including gin tasting (not in the price included). Definitively recommended!!

Very fine experience. They were very friendly to adapt to our schedule times because of luggage problems. The crew the boat was excellent. We saw a lot of whales. Especially calfs playing in the bay.
