He helped us to get tickets for the skywalk when we decided to go at the last minute. He even volunteered to help my mom to take photos at the Grand Canyon while she was solo. He shared a lot of fun facts and history about each section of our tour while keeping things light with good jokes and banter. He guided us to perfect views and gave us the best experience by getting us there in a timely fashion to avoid lines and crowds. The places visited in this tour and incredibly looking and the local guides explain everything in such details that make learning a lot more fun. Overall great experience.Written 19 January 2025
- Peter Z0 contributionsDam is spectacular but Boulder City is a waste of timeBus was comfortable and left on time. Generator tour was great but quite short - there was hardly any time to ask questions. The dam itself is spectacular but I would have like more time at the dam and less time at Boulder City. There isn’t much to see at Boulder City so I’d suggest cutting that back to 30 minutes or less for future tours.Written 18 January 2025

Early bus ride began at 530am! It’s a 2 1/2 hour bus ride to the Grand Canyon with one pit stop in between. Buses were comfortable and clean. Bus operator Jonathan did a superb job on the roadways and my wife and I felt very safe. Our tour guide Ita was engaging but his accent made it difficult to clearly understand highlights, site expectations, and rendezvous pick up points. Leaving his phone contact with us was very useful. Videos were helpful but a little history of the area as we were traveling through would have been more interesting. Native American occupation at one time in distant mountains name and how the name was acquired. Definitely not rushed on our “Rim” hike which was also nice. Time well spent for sure.

The driver was absolutely fantastic. Was very friendly and made a very long 600 mile journey very easy! He made jokes and provided information that was brand new information I couldn’t recommend this more. If you were a solo traveller you would feel very safe and enjoy your day as the whole group gets included!

This trip was a great experience. They picked us up early in the morning (be warned, the sun wasn’t even out) but that was fine because we came from the east coast the night before. Marvin was funny, informative, and very accommodating. Made multiple stops so the entire trip wasn’t too long and you can use the restroom . Snacks and drinks were provided. Entertainment was provided as well to keep us occupied for the long ride. I highly recommend this tour to any first timer visiting Las Vegas and want to also visit the Grand Canyon. 10/10 for Derek and Marvin.

We booked the early bird because we had plans later in the evening and the day before we got a phone call saying our start time had been moved until 7am. This made the trip impossible due to time restrictions. The other plans where non refundable so we had to cancel this trip. Just disappointed we didn't get to go at our reservation time. Makes me think may didn't sale enough early bird tickets so just move them or cancel. I usually dont do too negative reviews and this on isn't really. Just sometimes you loose in a deal but you stand behind it because you made the deal.

The drive is amazing! Great views te stop along Route 66 was a highlight definitely. Our tour guide Paul pretty nice was speeding though on the way back almost got into a accident. Lunch was pretty basic but good and he also provides water for your hike and through out the experience. The TVs on the bus do not work no extra pillows for comfort for passengers or blankets bring one it gets cold. Only reason I gave 4 stars ran out of breakfast bars for guest and our group was not large. The speeding and almost bing in a accident and TVs not functioning.

Excellent day trip from Las Vegas to The Grand Canyon (South Rim). It’s a long day, so it makes sense to do it this way with the driving taken care for you. The pickup point boarding was a bit chaotic, but that was due to the fact that there were several coach trips from a number of companies all picking up around the same time. The included packed lunch was very tasty, and water bottles/snack bars were also provided. Our driver/guide Robert was first class…very friendly/entertaining and gave us lots of commentary/information on the way to the Grand Canyon. There were 2 comfort breaks on the way and one break on the way back which was adequate. We also had two stops at the south rim of about 1 hour each. Not a massive amount of time, but all that could be expected/managed on such a long day...but still worth it to see the spectacle of the canyon. There was also the option of a few different hotel drop off points on our return to Las Vegas which was massively appreciated as it meant we just had a 5 minute walk back to our hotel compared to 20+ minutes walk to the pickup point at 5:15 am. The only downside was due to the inconsiderate nature of other passengers on the bus. Some people are selfish and think that if they are told to be back at the bus in 20 minutes to leave (after say a comfort break) then it doesn’t apply to them! And it was always the same people that kept the rest of us waiting….despite having made the situation clear by our driver. Maybe they should be left behind after the first warning! That might make them realise the consequences of their actions!

We had a great tour guide from start to finish. He was able to keep us together in small groups us within the time limit so we were able to get the best views at the attraction at the Grand Canyon park. He also did extra at the Hoover down explaining and showing us stuff, he kept us well and kept us plenty of water

Marvin our tour guide and Leo our driver was on point and were awesome. Marvin kept us entertained and was giving us information about the various places we were passing. They came on-time and had plenty of room (big coach bus - with device charging ports). We made reasonable stops for bio breaks and to purchase snacks, and was provided with plenty of water and energy bars. We got to drive on the bridge and see the Hoover Dam lit up at night. We were kept on a decent schedule and didn't feel rushed between the various vantage point stops of the canyon. We brought our own lunch, so I can't comment on the food that was offered for purchase at the lunch stop. I would recommend this trip.

Although the guide and driver were very good, the bus was uncomfortable: very narrow seats, with no armrest between them, very close to those in front, making it very cramped. Furthermore, the emergency window was creaking the entire trip (about 10 hours between return).
The place is beautiful, but be prepared for an extremely long journey (the return seems like an eternity!), to spend 2 hours admiring the same landscape.

If you are lucky enough to get Jimmy Vegas as your tour guide, he will definitely make your day even better with his comedy, music and facts!
Saying that, the day started off at a 5:15 pick-up from Treasure Island, where probably easily over 100 people were waiting. Multiple buses turned up, all with different tours - none with any signs in the window saying where they were going. As you can imagine, this was chaos. The drivers made no effort to announce to the crowds of people which tour bus was for where, which resulted in everyone queuing for multiple coaches which weren't even for them. The tour bus for the West Rim tour turned up last, where Jimmy Vegas, the tour guide immediately took control of the chaos and quickly got everyone onto the bus whilst taking their lunch orders - this made everyone feel much better. For that reason, I have given this review 4 stars, but once we was on our way, the trip was amazing.
Once everyone was counted for, we was on our way where Jimmy couldn't have been a better host. He was funny as well as informative, and was super helpful to those who didn't speak English as their first language. We stopped off a few times along the way for bathroom breaks and to pick up coffee/snacks. Our final stop was to pick up freshly-made turkey and salad/vegetarian sandwiches which were delicious.
Finally, we was in the Grand Canyon National Park, where Jimmy gave everyone clear instructions about the 2.5mile walk, the best places to visit, take photos and even get ice cream. Because of his clarity, everyone was on the bus on time to leave.
The views from the west rim are better than every other part of the national park, so if you can, make the longer journey to the south rim instead of going to the more popular west rim.
Despite leaving 30mins late due to the pick-up chaos, the a/c breaking on the way back, which hardly effected the journey, we still arrived back in vegas for around 8:30pm which was on time.
A huge thank you to Jimmy for making this day for everyone onboard!

I'm 6ft myself and didn't have a problem, but you are much taller, but I remember there were many empty seats, so maybe you can occupy two seats and sit in a way which makes it more comfortable. But you should be fine, don't worry 😉
