Stop At: Highway 190, Death Valley National Park, CA

Come with us and explore all the mystery, drama and fascination that IS Death Valley! Starting out we'll make a stop and have photo ops at The Amargosa Opera House & Hotel, one of Death Valley's oldest housing structures with a truly unusual and unique history you won't want to miss! As we head into the Park our next photo op will be an overlook of Death Valley at Zabriskie Point with a view of Manly Peak and the dry bed of Manly Lake. Moving on, we then head down to the lowest point in all of North America, 282 ft below sea level, Badwater Basin! In between, of course many photo ops at incredible park locations! Learn details about the incredible geology including rock features and mineral deposits that make up some of the most breathtaking, awe-inspiring sites within the park. A stop at Furnace Creek known as a natural oasis in the desert hosts the Visitor Center, Museum and Gift Shop. Also exciting, a stop at Star Wars film location, Mesquite Dunes!! The next stretch of Death Valley's landscape is the infamous visit to the Ubehebe Crater and a potential trek down or along the rim for another unbelievable photo opportunity! On the way back it's time for a snack when we stop at the biggest nuts and candy store in the west that also offers one of the largest arrays of delicious jeerky. This tour is packed full of awesomeness!! There is a two person minimum for this tour.

Stop At: Amargosa Opera House, 608 Death Valley Jct, Death Valley Junction, CA 92328

This Spanish Colonial style Hotel and "Opera House" treasure and the fact it is a busy tourist destination still today is a testimony to one woman "putting it on the map" so to speak. Visitor's are welcome to tour the Hotel and the Opera House that New York Actress and Dancer Marta Beckett fell in love with - upon visiting it, bought it, and remained there the rest of her life performing in her Opera House, for the most part, alone - even without an audience except for the one she painted (and very well!) on the walls. She performed daily and eventually, when word got out, people DID come!! It is a must see!!
