About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- krgibson40 contributionsBucket list tour of the CanyonsJoel & The Bindlestiff team put together a memorable, informative and most enjoyable 3 day tour of the canyons. The time in the vehicle between the canyons and stops may have been long but Joel made sure we had enough rest stops to stretch our legs. He used the time in vehicle to share his wealth of knowledge and experience of the area and we felt it added significantly to the experience. It is alot of driving but complety worth it to see the spectacular sights. The bus was full, and for tall people it could be cramped and a place to put our day bags other than at our feet would have been good, (the only negative)! The accommodations booked for each night were more than comfortable, with great amenities and close proximity to resturants for the evening meal. The staff at each hotel were friendly and happy to help in any way. (my son left a parcel at our 1st hotel and due to the distances we travel, we could not return to collect it, but the hotel made a plan and sent it to our final desitination before flying home). The food was plenty and very tasty, the stand out lunch was definately the fry bread taco at Goulding's Stage Couch diner. The itinerary was amazing and covered everything and so much more. The stop for lunch on day 1 in Seligman and the historic Route 66 was fantastic. Having conversations with the townfolk (super friendly) and walking the streets was very enjoyable and so many opportunities for photos. We did the optional Helicopter ride and would highly recommend it to give you a view of the Grand Canyon that is unparalleled. That 1st sight of the Grand Canyon takes your breath away. The sunrise on day 2 from the north rim of the Grand Canyon was emotional and breathtaking. As you drive with a guide through the Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park later that day, you are transported back in time and Stephen our guide brought its history and people to life. Ending the day with sunset at Horshoe Bend gave me goosbumps and stunning photos, along with significant memories made. One of the highlights was walking through Antelope Canyon with our guide on the morning of day 3, it was mesmerising and we were awestruck by its beauty. The time spent in Zion National Park was exhilarating, we enjoyed lunch and then hiked to the Emerald Pools all the while enjoying the majestic mountains surrounding us. Photos do not fully capture the grandure and the majesty of Zion Canyon. All the while, Joel is exoanding our knowledge and minds with information about all the places we visted or even just drove past. I canot recommend this tour enough, if you can only choose one tour to do on your holiday, you have to do this one with Joel.Written 15 January 2025

- Road151729333870 contributionsSOUTHWEST HIGHLIGHTS 7 DAYS Camping TourFirst off, thanks to our passionate guide Kaitlyn for making this trip unforgettable. 7 days traveling the Grand Circle and she made sure to sneak in some really great memories and then some. Now theres really no words to express how incredible and breathtaking these destinations are, most of them are unlike any other place on earth! Zion and Bryce park are both unbelievable, even the drive between them is stunning. We had an unscheduled lunch break in Capital Reef, which I was very happy about because that meant we checked off every National Park in Utah! Arches has so many iconic photo opportunities and again we were surprised with a sunset hike to Utahs most famous Arch formation. Canyonlands, and Moab are both so interesting and you're given time to explore what you can. Monument Valley had yet another surprise for us because after an amazing day touring the Navajo region, we set up camp right along the ridge overlooking the iconic mitton buttes! Climbing down into Antelope Canyon is a must, you'll never get another opportunity to see a slot canyon like that again. Last but not least, the surreal Grand Canyon and Horseshoe Bend, I don't need to say more. This was a very short notice solo trip for me, and I camped the whole way, so here's what I learned. You're going to have very little access to electricity outside the van, so pack an extra charger. Pack lightly on the bug repellent and don't worry about snakes or scorpions, I saw none. Listen to your guide and take their trail suggestions, they don't always hold your hand once you get into the park's, which is nice if you really want to dash toward a specific spot. And lastly, pack some snacks. Otherwise you'll only be eating what your guide can prepare from the coolers. O and get ready to share your favorite road trip music!!!Written 4 January 2025
- 382sebk0 contributionsOutstanding national parks tour!I took this tour in Sept 2024 and it was one of the most amazing experiences that I have ever done. From my first inquiry and subsequent phone calls their customer service team was top notch. Really helpful and kind and provided a wealth f info to help me choose the right tour for me. The tour itself is hard to put into words as every part of it was so great! The organization, the views, the hiking in the parks, camping under the stars, meeting great people of all over the world- 12 in total. I highly recommend this company and I will be back to take to Alaska tor in 2025!!Written 27 December 2024
- M3747WUsuzanned0 contributionsWonderful Tour!We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The landscapes were spectacular, lunch was provided in a picturesque spot and our tour guide, Joe, was incredible. He gave us so much background information on everything we were seeing/about to see. I can't think of another guide who was as personable and knowledgeable as he was. Thanks for a wonderful tour!Written 26 December 2024
- Delaina3210 contributionsThanks Bindlestiff and Joe for the unforgettable trip!Booked this as part of our honeymoon, and honestly, it made our trip! We had so much fun and saw some unforgettable sights. The tour was so enjoyable that we were saying we should have booked an even longer one because three days felt too short! A big part of what made the trip such a great one was our guide, Joe Rickertsen, who was friendly, knowledgeable and all around fun to hang out with. We learned so much and loved our interactions with him. If given the option, we'd definitely choose him to be our guide again for our future tours!Written 25 December 2024
- robertcY7793SQ0 contributionsMUST SEE TOUR!!This tour is awesome, Joe was a fantastic tour guide and provided a first class experience. - Debabrata S0 contributionsFantastic tour of Death Valley with Chloe. It was an entertaining and learning experience for us. Our tour guide, Chloe made the tour very entertaining as well as educational. We learnt lots of things about Death Valley and relevant cultural history which we never knew. About 10 hours tour never had a dull moment. The van was very comfortable and Chloe’s perfect driving made it a very safe tour. We wish to do more tours with this company with tour guide like Chloe. Chloe never rushed us at any moment of the tour. She always was aware of our various needs.Written 14 December 2024
- esthermS2206TH0 contributionsFantastic private tour - highly recommend! What a fabulous experience! We booked a 3 day national parks tour with Bindlestiff as a private tour, with stops at Zion and Bryce National Parks, Antelope Canyon, Monument Valley, the Grand Canyon and Route 66. From my first inquiry, Bindlestiff was helpful and accommodating. Our tour guide, Chloe, was super knowledgeable, entertaining, helpful and an all-around superstar guide. She was able to accommodate all of our needs and help our family (including three generations) make the most out of our so that everyone, from age 10-77, could enjoy this magnificent part of the world. I hope to book another tour with Bindlestiff some day and would enthusiastically recommend both Bindlestiff and our guide Chloe to anyone who wants a taste of the Southwest.Written 12 December 2024

- TeaJaySee0 contributionsGreat time on winter tour of Utah parks.Fantastic tour, everything was pretty much perfect. Adrian was a great guide, and handled the snow storm, which might have affected things, very well. In the end although really cold at times, was beautfiul to see the contrast of ice and snow on the red rocks. Definitely would consider doing another Bindlestiff Tour in the future.Written 5 December 2024

Our guide Johnny was a very careful driver and made sure everything went smooth, we absolutely did not have to worry about anything. Not to mention his great taste of music. I absolutely recommend the trip with Bindlestiff Tours! They have all really well planned and under control.Written 24 October 2024
- christopherj2970 contributionsTerrific 8-Day Private Tour of the Southwest! My wife and I actually did a customized 8-day private tour that involved Zion, Bryce, Arches, Canyonlands, Monument Valley, and Antelope Canyon, along with a few short side trips. Bindlestiff did a very nice job suggesting the general itinerary, booking the hotels, and keeping us informed as to deadlines and the like. The key to our tour was our guide, Marie Easton, who had also been our guide on an Alaska trip we took in 2023. Marie has driven, hiked, rafted, and camped all over the Southwest so that we knew we were always in good hands. She covered over 1500 miles during our 8 days and showed us the best parts of each national park, as well as some state parks and other points of interest. Even though we traveled a lot of miles, it was easy, comfortable, and seamless. Marie is an excellent driver and great company, with a trove of helpful information as to the sights we were seeing. She also suggested the Red Cliffs Lodge in Moab, which was our favorite place to stay on the tour. We are already thinking about the next tour we will take with her.Written 23 October 2024

I don't like long rides, but the bus was comfortable and arrived right on time. The rides between stops were one or two hours, and the time moved along nicely, as the tour guide, named Indy, had us all fully engaged with stories and histories of where we were going. He was very knowledgeable, and the rides were a lot of fun. Everything, including the hotels and meals, went off without a single hiccup.
Indy persuaded me to take the helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon, which I hadn't planned to take, but he was right, and I'm glad I took it.
He engaged us in such a way that when we all went to our respective rooms for the nights, everyone came together for dinner, rather than going off as couples or singles. Then, while touring the canyons and trails, everyone chose to stay together, like a big family. This added to the experience in a positive way, and I can see how the tour guide made this all happen. He really solidified his group, and we all became good friends. After the tour ended with a trip back to the Mirage in Las Vegas, we all got together on our own, for dinner and drinks at The Venetian, where the wine was excellent, as wine often is when consumed with good friends. It was a memorable evening after a memorable three-day trip. Everyone has kept in touch, exchanging photos and Instagrams and stuff.
We were dubious about finding a tour group and guide that were reputable, and we feel lucky to have found Bindlestiff and Indy. We have already decided to take another trip next year with the same organization. This tour met all our expectations, and really surpassed them, and I highly recommend Bindlestiff.

I wasn’t 100% sure about doing the tour experience because I’m not one who usually enjoys meeting strangers but this tour was all planned out for me so my lazy side went ahead and booked it. I ended up having such a great time!! Our tour guide, Joel, was definitely a 10 out of 10 and our group of travelers were from all over the world. My husband and I got to share these beautiful places with new friends.
All the hotels were safe and clean, food was tasty, and the van was reasonably comfortable. Joel was a plethora of interesting information and the tour was well organized without feeling rushed. I would definitely recommend this tour, our guide Joel, and Bindlestiff Tours.

We couldn't have been happier with this tour! Our Tour Leader Indy was amazing, my kids adored him and I joked that it was like a travelling school bus because of all the amazing facts and stories he shared with all of us, kids and adults alike. We all learnt so much and were constantly entertained. Indy went out of his way to support all of our needs and we enormously appreciated all of us hard work. The landscape was beautiful and every activity was well organized and went beyond our expectations. We can't wait to do another trip with Bindlestiff and Indy!

Hey guys,
I was on this tour from December 31 to January 02, so effectively celebrated 2021 New Year on the road!
This has been a truly unique experience and the best tour I’ve ever had (and believe me, I’ve been in lots of countries across the globe on a great variety of tours and excursions).
Joel, the guide, is absolutely phenomenal. The way he plans the route, the way he accommodates the program to the group’s needs and unplanned requests / asks, the in-depth knowledge of the region, its culture and historic background - all at absolute elite level.
When it was time to say good bye, the group got very depressed with everyone being not far from crying. Such was the extent of mental and emotional engagement achieved within just 72 hours!
I am already planning my next trip with Joel and Bindlestiff - these guys really brought the definition of a “high quality tour” to the next level in my mind. Don’t even waste your time searching for other options in Vegas.
Best regards,
Nikita from Moscow, Russia

This tour was pricey but it was a wonderful experience. It was sunny every day and the temperatures were mild. The views were unforgettable. Everything was well organized. We had only four people on our tour so it could be tailored to our preferences. The tour guide, Adrian was knowledgeable and helpful. Overall, a fantastic experience. We'd recommend Bindelestiff tours.

Did the Winter 3-day trip to Grand Canyon Monument Valley, Antelope Canyon and Zion Nationalm Park with Bindlestiff Tours. The trip was well organized, and we were well taken care by the guide Joel.
The email updates from Bindelstiff on the wintery weather conditions were timely and extremely helpful, so that we were well prepared with our winter clothings.

We loved the trip and enjoyed meeting other travelers. Tim was a great guide. The Grand Canyon is not to be missed. I loved the up close experience of Monument Valley. Zion and Antelope Canyon are not be be missed. We chose to do the helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon and loved this experience. Although there were many highlights I personally found the opportunity to visit the Navajo Hogan and hear the family story a not to be missed authentic experience. The frybread taco meal also added a nice dimension to the experience.!

This 3 day tour was one of the most amazing experiences. Our tour guide joel was absolutely incredible. His extensive knowledge of American history and geological features was extraordinary. He had a great sense of humour and kept things interesting and always entertaining on the sometimes long road trips. We had the perfect amount of time to do everything and we got to see everything we wanted to.
It was a very special day when we were welcomed into a lovely Navajo family home and ate lunch prepared for us.
If you want to understand what you are looking at and gain some insight rather than just look at the Canyon, Monument Valley, and Zion in ignorance Joel is you man.
Highly recommend this tour.

It was incredible and unexpected tour from Las Vegas. Totally worth every penny. Started from hotel picked up/dropped off was right on time. This is a MUST tour you need to book. Grand Canyon sun rise and sun set, helicopter tour is optional you need to try. Ride a shuttle tour inside monument valley( you will see some spots from notional geographic in this tour!) A stunning view of Zion national park and hiking was so much fun if you love hiking. I would rate Mr. 10/10 he was so kind and knowledgeable, he has passion of what he does.

This is an amazing tour - long days, but so much to see. We particularly like Bryce Canyon, Antelope Canyon & the Grand Canyon.
Bryce Canyon looks beautiful from lots of different angles. Antelope Canyon is just an natural creation of art.
The Grand Canyon is majestic. We didn't do the helicopter ride and walked the million mile walk & down the Grand Canyon. The half day spent in the Grand Canyon was a good introduction, but really need to spend longer here to do it justice.
Our tour guide, Marie, was knowledgeable about native history and the Mormons. She also organised some interesting native cuisines for the tour. The whole tour was enjoyable.

Our tour guide, Marie, was knowledgeable about native history and the Mormons. She also organised some interesting native cuisines for the tour. The whole tour was enjoyable.

Hi, I would be travelling with my 75 year old mother who can’t walk long distances. Would she be able to cope with the itinerary? Also, would twin bed accommodation be possible?
Many thanks.

I have several issues with my back and neck which makes sitting difficult. I have less problems walking a few miles then sitting an hour. The hardest part for me was the sitting in the van. I would say our group was low 60’s and down and hardly anyone had to wait while the others toured. When we went to Antelope I stayed back with a women who had a bad knee , but I regretted it because my husband said I could have done it.
Nothing is really hard, but it is best to speak to the touring company. Ask them how many will be on your tour. We had 13 and it was overcrowded by 2 to all ride comfortably. There is also so much to see from the small bus alone. Our guide was great and very accommodating and most decisions he had the group make when there were choices.
Both accommodations were clean and we had 2 queen beds in each. I am not sure if they use the same hotels each time.
