      Incredible experienca !
We spend 2 incredible days with Salvador and his French crew ahah , they are some waiting time but it's still chill we went through beautiful landscape , his horses are all well educated, each one with their own characters who made them so appealing ! The place where we stay for the night was beautiful , and we eat great Asado. W are just sad that salvadore can't ride with us but the volunteers were really nice and experienced . Thanks again to Anne-Laure , Amici ,Raphaël y Salvador for this few days ! Abrazos , Quentin y Océane

Fantastica cabalgata en las sierras chicas
Amazing day spent yesterday at el Rosal! Highly recommended and Salvador is the best gaucho (that includes the art of el Asado 😉) showing his passion of horses and nature. Everything is perfect, from the riding to the asado and the walk around the estancia. Don’t hesitate just go !!!!

      Superb
We travelled for one day of riding and one night in the accomodation. The trip was faultless from pickup to drop off. The horses are brilliantly trained and easy to ride. The food and wine were fun albeit there are lots of flies to share your lunch with. The horses are well cared for and never mistreated

      Two day trip
We had a fantastic two days with Salvador. He is a very friendly, knowledgeable man. He picked us up took us to the ranch to stay our first night. The food he prepared was delicious then a ride around the ranch to see the place and his cows. Second day we rode river valleys and hills the most beautiful of countryside stopping off for two breaks and on up into the hills. Salvador has so much to offer, we are so glad we went for two days should have been longer. The more you rode the horses the more you marvelled at there gentle brilliance. The riding is suitable for a novice, non riding options available. Just go and enjoy a truly excellent few days away, just good horses, good food/drink and company. Salvador your a star, thanks

      An Unforgettable Experience
I cannot recommend this experience enough. I scanned the reviews on TripAdvisor before booking our trip, but none of them do the experience justice. My group consisted of six college students, with some of us having riding experience and some of us having fears of horses. However, by the end of the long, wonderful day, we were all pleasantly exhausted and eager to do it again. Salvador does a wonderful job of making you feel comfortable and secure. His estate is gorgeous, tranquil, and you can feel the love he has for his business. Though it is catered for tourists (copious information, easy transportation from the city, thorough instructors), the experience does not feel kitschy or touristy. Rather, you feel like you have truly taken in a part of Argentine culture. We are broke college students so we are not able to splash around money. However, all of us agreed that the value of the trip was double or triple the cost. Also, we have been in Argentina for the past month and we all agree that Salvador's asado was the best food we have eaten in the country. Please go! If you have hesitations, don't! Also, bring a swimsuit!

A wonderful day with Salvador and his horses at the countryside
I never got riding lessons or had any chance to be around horses in my life, therefor I was very curious when I heard that there is the opportunity to spend one day with horses at Salvadors estancia without having any experience. So I booked that day trip and was completely happy at the end of that beautiful day at the countryside. Salvador picked us up at the hotel in Cordoba and of we went and were already cheerful talking in the car on our way to Salvadors estancia. The landscape around his estancia is extremely beautiful at the end of December. He showed us around and we could as well learn about an interesting social project, that he has built up in the last few years. Then we went to his horses at the meadows. His horses were so calm and peaceful that I felt completely secure. We made two rides, one before lunch time and one in the late afternoon, and I gained a good inside into riding and dealing with horses. We even could watch Salvador changing horseshoes. The barbecue was simple but of best quality, really delicious. We felt so happy there that we would have loved to stay longer. Salvador loves his horses and what he is doing, that makes the trip so special. Thank you, Salvador!

      Amazing day trip!
I had a wonderful day at Salvador’s Ranch. He is a great host and tour guide, who really loves his job. He picked us up at the hostel in Córdoba city and brought us to the his ranch. First he showed us around the property, which was stunning and had some interesting environmental-friendly projects running. Then we rode the horse for a bit and returned for a DELICIOUS Asado lunch prepared by Salvador himself, accompanied by some red wine. After lunch we went out for another ride which was even better then the first part. Beautiful views, responsive horses and again Salvador who made everything even more enjoyable. Overall perfect day!

      Top Day!!!!
Had a great day with Salvador, two riding sessions through woodlands and the Pampas plains. Salvador is incredibly knowledgeable and helped me as a novice rider, his ranch is joined with another carrying out environmental projects reusing plastic bottles to build houses. Lunch is a traditional Gaucho Ascado, Salvador cooks the meat on a huge BBQ grill and serves with vegetables and red wine. Best Meat Ever!!! Would totally recommend a day with Salvador if you are in Córdoba.

      Amazing day out!
Eight of us had the most fantastic day with Salvador. He was absolutely lovely from the start when he picked us up from our hostel in Cordoba. The ranch was picturesque and the perfect setting for a wedding that was taking place on the grounds. Our horse ride was very pleasant and the BBQ delicious. The animals were absolutely gorgeous and so well looked after. We then headed to two vineyards with plenty of sampling. Salvador’s humour and warmth made the day one to remember and although expensive for us students it was a day we won’t forget.

      Gauchos alemanes
We booked a Gaucho day with Salvador to have a short break from the city of Cordoba! I found his offer here on TripAdvisor and the good recommendations promised a great day out with the horses.... Salvador answered my texts right away and after booking the tour on Saturday evening, we were picked up by his son and him on Monday morning! The two guys were very much fun right from the start and after a quick coffee we headed towards the farm! We helped feeding the horses & Salvador showed us around and explained everything... It was very interesting to find out about the recycling project he initiated and the support it brings to not so privileged people in the area! Of course, we also went for two long rides in the lovely surroundings of the farm. Another highlight was the really tasty and homecooked BBQ around midday - including a good red wine. The trip exceeded our expectations, especially because Salvador and Alvaro are extremely warmhearted and funny people! We have nothing but great memories and wish the family Gimenez all the best!

      Gaucho for a day!
I went yesterday for a day trip with Salvador. I was the only person on the tour and was really thankful that they did not cancel like other tours would. From start to finish, Salvador and his son made me feel very welcome they could not do enough to make me feel looked after. We had a horse ride in the morning through a beautiful forested area followed by a lovely asado. In the afternoon we took another horse ride where we had some beautiful views of the surrounding area! I had a great day and would recommend to anyone who is in Cordoba. Very good value for money and a great experience. Muchas gracias!

Children and adults had a great time!
After attending a wedding, we organised a morning's ride with Salvador near the estancia where we were staying. My niece and son aged 5 and my other son aged 3 had their own full sized horses, had no problems with the horses or ride and enjoyed the whole experience very much. We were quite a few of us, taking turns on the horses and leading the little ones. Salvador is friendly and charming and was accomodating to last minute changes. He took us on a very suitable ride for the short time we had and with the small children. We hope to come out again for a longer trip with him when the kids are bigger :) I highly recommend riding with him!

      Perfecto!
I am a 33 year old female. Went by myself to Salva's horseback riding tour. Was so much more than I expected. Plan to spend the entire day on a working ranch. You will be dirty. You will be happy. This isn't touristy crap. It was wonderful. I don't want to spoil it for you so I won't tell you everything. Just go. You will never forget it.

We visited this place in November and it exceeded all expectations! We were greeted with warmth and hospitality, and started the day with a 1.5 hour ride that gave us a great experience of the farm's beautiful surroundings.

After the ride we were served a lovely lunch with full grilled pork. The food was fantastic – everything was produced locally, from the tasty cheese to the fresh vegetables grown on the farm.

After lunch it seemed for a longer ride of 2.5 hours. This tour took us through the whole area and gave us a unique opportunity to experience nature and the atmosphere around the farm in a very special way.

This was an experience we will soon forget. We warmly recommend this place to anyone who wants a combination of great nature experiences, lovely food and genuine hospitality. Thank you for a memorable visit!

A recommended experience for those who love animals, nature, great food, good company, and anyone who just wants a break from the city. It is ~50 minutes trip by car or bus (longer). There’s no pick-up on this tour but Salvador provides a detailed guide on how to take the bus. You just have to be aware of the schedule so you won’t miss it. Uber from the city costs ~ARS2700. He is also very responsive with my queries. I don’t have any previous experience with horses but I enjoyed it and I felt safe. The horses are trained enough for this. The view was great! And of course, the food was great too! I can feel Salvador’s love and passion for this. Thank you, Salvador and team for sharing this great experience to tourists like me.

Wonderful and authentic gaucho experience. Salvador picked the right horse for me on the first day. I enjoyed everything so much I stayed for 4 days. Interesting trails, sound horses, really good food and best of all, you feel like family by the time you leave. 100% recommend this experience for beginners to experienced, and aside from the riding there are cows to milk, chickens, geese, dogs, and the total ranch experience even if you don’t want to ride.

We had a really good time and would definitely recommend doing a horseback riding tour with Salvador! We booked a day tour, which included transfer to and from the estancia, riding twice for 1,5h (once before and once after lunch) and a very nice bbq for lunch. The only thing is that we had to wait a pretty long time before the second horseriding trip and because of it we were home fairly late, by 7pm. However, everyone working there was super nice, they really made sure we had an amazing day, the lunch was great and the estancia is incredibly beautiful. The horses were very sweet as well, we felt very safe the whole time. Thank you very much Salvador!

My partner and I chose Salvador based on reviews read online and we were not disappointed! Salvador is quite the character and we all quickly became friends, laughing and joking. The horses were so well cared for and the riding was lovely, very peaceful. We then had a big asado (BBQ!) and lots of Salvador's family joined which was great, as we got to chat with them. Even though this was a 'tour', the experience felt extremely authentic and natural and it was a pleasure to spend the day and night on Salvadors farm. Thanks for a brilliant visit!

Salvador is the best of the best. I was picked up from by AirBnB in Cordoba, and after a few more stops we were headed to the countryside. His ranch is aboslutely beautiful. I enjoyed touring around his property and getting to hear about and see the history of the area. I don't speak Spanish fluently, so I apprecaited Salvador's willingess to take the time to explain everything in both Enligh and Spanish. The first ride out was a gorgeous midday trek through a more rural area, which was followed by a delisious asado lunch. After cooling off down by the river, we headed out for another trek late in the afternoon. This time we stuck more to the streets and went through a community. It was nice to see the homes and yards of the people who lived there, and th eriver crossings were fun. After the second trek we headed back in to Cordoba in Salvador's van. It was an absolutely perfect day, and I coul dnot recommend this expereince highly enough.

I think we will never forget our day with Salvador and his "chicos".
We had a great day on his ranch, observing animals, doing horse riding (for the first time), eating delicious food, talking.
This experience is very different from most of the touristy excursions. Time seems to pass slowly, you enjoy the landcape and hospitality. With Salvador, you feel at home and you have a lot of fun too. We were treated like kings I think!
Also, you will get to know much on the life of local people. What is more, observing the animals (cows, hens, pigs etc.) is a great escape from the city. We
The horses are very calm, nice and you don't have to be afraid of them. The ride is perfect, beautiful and somehow peaceful.
Thank you, Salvador! I hope to see you again!

It was the most unforgettable experience in Argentina. Salvadore took care of everything, starting with super clear instructions on how to get to his ranch. He then served yerba mate and coffee, showed us all the animals on his ranch, and organized the first horseback ride around the breathtaking area. Later, he served delicious Argentinian wine and homemade barbecue: the best beef steak I’ve ever eaten, accompanied by grilled and fresh vegetables and fruit for dessert. Afterward, a short nap in a super comfy hammock, accompanied by the sounds of nature, prepared us for a second ride, during which he took lots of photos and videos. At the end, he drove me to the bus station and helped with buying tickets. His perfect English, great personality, and sense of humor made that day the best day in Argentina. ❤️ Thank you, Salva!"

As every other review suggests, I can not recommend this experience enough. If you are looking for an authentic Argentine experience with wonderful hospitality, this is the experience for you.

It was just my friend and I on the ranch with Salvador, his son Alvaro, and his two friends Juan & Sofa. All four of them were extremely friendly and accommodating. The horses were well trained and easy to ride for two people who have very little to no experience whatsoever.

We had a delicious lunch composed of wine, asado, chorizo, and a fresh garden salad literally picked and gathered in front of our eyes. They also make their cheese from their own cow's milk. The asado and chorizo was some of the best I've ever had in my life (and I've had quite a lot lol).

After lunch we went for a second ride in the pouring down rain and it was one of the most majestic experiences that I have ever had. 10/10 RECOMMEND

Salvador is an incredible guide and host! His farm is beautiful in a secluded part of the Sierras with energetic and adorable animals. His dogs won our hearts over as we pet them and played with them. He has such gorgeous horses and our horseback riding had no problems. It was peaceful scenery and an amazing and fun time riding the horses. The meal was real, authentic, asado made in an outdoor woodfire oven. It was the best meat I ever had and Salvador really opened his countryside home to us. Highly recommend for those seeking unique experiences in Cordoba, Argentina!!
