The Kilimanjaro Classic Climb via Marangu route in unique in a sense that it provides extra comfort to the travelers with their permanent sleeping huts. Spectacular vistas of the Mawenzi and Kibo Peaks during the hike are something to relish as you walk the gradual slopes and more direct paths. This route is considered by many as the easiest as well as the busiest among all other routes. Commonly known as the Coca Cola route, it was the first established commercial trekking route on Kilimanjaro. This busy route encompasses scenic detours past rainforest waterfalls and picturesque plant life before making the final ascent to the top. Considering an extra night at Horombo Hut for acclimatization is indeed very crucial on this route as the short time frame makes altitude adaptation quite difficult. After reaching the top of the peak, you will descend down walking the same path and exit through the same gate that you entered earlier.

- Doberman20140 contributions60+ and still REACH KILIMANJARO SUMMITJust wanted to let all know that this company is the best...i am 60+ of age and friends and I actually did the MACHAME 6 DAY climb (WHISKEY ROUTE), the 15 member climb team for us three climbers, well they are the BEST in all areas and all members, We booked this climb 7 months out with Samten who works with the company, her information was perfect, she ensured that we were aware of everything and she responded back to us with 24 hours ALL THE TIME, plus she informed us how close we were to Serengeti National Park so we also booked a Safari with one day after climb was finished and SAFARI was great from Hot Air Balloon Safari to Jeep Safari...awesome experience. Now back to the climb, two of 3 of us made it to the summit, one reached 75% of the climb but they got Altitude Sickness, so had to be rescue via Helicopter and that also went smooth plus Travel Insurance evacuation insurance worked perfectly.....for the two of us who continue to the summit, we were ready to QUIT the climb four hours in on Summit Night , but the guides kept us motivated and they tolerated our questioning IF we could do it and end result is WE MADE IT it has been about two weeks now and i am glad the guides did not listen to us, i am so proud of myself for making it and i OWE IT TO THE GUIDES and TO THE CLIMBING TEAM...that night they even baked us a cake (see pics), plus after the climb the team actually had the USA FLAG with them (see pics) Bottom line, book wit this company since they will do their best to ensure you don't quit, they keep safety as top priority and they CAREWritten 27 October 2023

Their smiles, songs and encouragement went beyond the call of duty. In particular, Frumence Malya and Innocent Mtui, our two guides gave us strength during the entire ascent. They were incredibly supportive even when one of us faced altitude sickness. I would highly recommend them as well as their team of porters. Our meals were delicious and prepared by Hardson Richard, an awesome chef. In all, we accomplish our goal in 6 glorious days. We were extremely happy with our accomplishment, but without the team, this would not have been possible.Written 12 July 2023

They have local team of professional guides, support staffs and cooks which support local economy and help to increase the employment in the region. We are planning Everest Base Camp Climb in 2021 as soon as COVID-19 stop with Himalayan Glacier, definitely it is going to be our another memorable adventure in the Himalaya.
