Overview
Discover the highlights of Windsor and Eton over the course of a single tour—and get up close and personal with some of England’s loveliest scenery—during this small-group bike tour of the region. Depart in the morning or afternoon, grab your bike and helmet, and make way to Windsor Castle, Eton College, Dorney Court, and other highlights of the Thames Valley. As you go, your guide will share stories and history about the sights.
What to Expect
Enjoy a day away from the city with this wonderful bike tour of Windsor and surrounding areas. Upon arrival, get on your bikes and set off on a leisurely, traffic free eight-mile (13 km) cycle through the country lanes, historic houses and cottages of the Thames Valley. Stop for a short break at the Tudor mansion of Dorney Court, dating back to 1440, before cycling to the 2012 Olympic Rowing Lake.

Continue along the river, taking in the majesty of Windsor Castle before pedalling on to educators for 19 British Prime Ministers and the oldest school in the world - Eton College.

The cycle ends by the River Thames with easy access back to the train station or towards the castle. This bike tour makes the perfect countryside escape from the hustle and bustle of the busy city life.

Great way to explore at leisure

Did not know what to expect but we thoroughly enjoyed our bike tour around the Thames valley. Visited en route some very interesting places. Trisha is a very good guide with plenty of knowledge at her fingertips. Thank you. Strongly recommend.

We really enjoyed our cycle tour of Windsor, Eton and the River Thames. Trisha had chosen a super route so that we had minimal time cycling on roads, most of the route was on paths and towpaths beside the river. Obviously in August everywhere was...More
