About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 477elsao0 contributionsAwesome Family Bike RideWow! I cannot say enough great things about Bicikleta Bike Rentals. Brenda was so helpful and excited for our us to tour around Sanford. I was part of a big group that rented both bikes and e-bikes and we all had a blast! We had a beautiful ride on the riverwalk in Sanford and even saw some mantees! This was such a great thing to do with a big group of people who have different levels of biking experience.Written 26 February 2024

- Sylvia L0 contributionsHighly recommend to anyone visiting Sanford!I’ve done numerous ghost tours around the country with my children, and I’m so glad that my favorite one was right here in my hometown of Sanford! Gary is an amazing storyteller, and we had such a great time. We were absolutely fascinated with all of his stories and learned so much about Sanford history. Would highly recommend to anyone! And it’s also very wheelchair accessible.Written 9 April 2023
- Smilingiver0 contributionsOkay tourIt was okay. I’ve been to other ghost tours around the world, and was expecting more along the lines of “dark history.” Our guide was knowledgeable about paranormal stories of the area. The tour was short, visiting about five locations, with stories collected from various town residents and backed up with historical details.Written 6 March 2023
- Marty P0 contributionsGreat serviceMy wife and I rented bikes through this company. Everything online. No issues. Picked up our bikes at "Bicikleta" the next day. Bikes were awesome - Cannondale bikes. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Friendly cat on site too! Rented for 2 hours. Brought our own helmets - they do provide free of charge though. Would do this again.Written 31 January 2022
- bradziker10 contributionsLots of funThis was lots of fun and I learned a bit of history about the Native Americans and an old fort in Sanford. The ghost stories were entertaining, although we didn't actually see any. Both guides were passionate about the subject.Written 5 September 2021
- B7215NQnormal0 contributionsInformativeGary was very informative about the towns history! We had a great time learning and conversing with him. Great date night idea!Written 11 July 2021
- Charlotte V0 contributionsInteresting but too longGary, who was our tour guide, definitely knows his stuff and he told some very interesting local stories. We had a feeling that he was trying to stretch the tour by going around in circles. We could have easily done this tour in maybe 45 minutes. Instead we kept zig-zagging from spot to spot while only covering a very short distance. The intro in the shop was very long, and the end of the tour on top of the restaurant was way too long and detailed. We were sweating beneath our masks and very uncomfortable standing up there.Written 6 June 2021
- Thefloridacomeback0 contributionsWow! Fantastic experience! One word for this experience - WOW! From the moment we arrived to the information center we were greeted with such warm hospitality. Our tour guide, Nancy, was so informative! She answered all of the questions that we had and more! After the 90 minutes we actually wanted more. The information was so interesting. Sanford has such a historic background and everyone should take this tour and learn all about it. Definitely recommend!Written 14 March 2021
- D3235COkimberlyg0 contributionsFun Filled Saturday! We did the 1.5 hour walking tour of Historic Downtown Sanford and had a blast! We learned so much about the history of the town, and all of the famous people who have stayed there before. It was so interesting to see how so many old building that were covered with stucco, were being uncovered and turned into something new! Nancy was our tour guide and you could definitely tell she was passionate about the city's history. We felt very safe, everyone was wearing their masks and there was plenty of space to socially distance, while still hearing the tour guide. If you love Florida history and Sanford I definitely recommend this tour! We also rented a golf cart after the tour to explore the city. Nancy did an excellent job of letting us know where we could ride, and some of the best places to explore. We got coffee at Palates and lunch at Hollerbachs, and enjoyed strolling through the downtown market! I can't wait to go back and check out more of the breweries and distilleries!Written 26 January 2021
- julieoT6153KM0 contributionsChristmasy Fun!A group of us rented a couple of carts to check out the Christmas lights and decorations on the historic homes. The rental staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The carts were clean and in good condition. I would definitely rent from them again and for sure would recommend to anyone looking to up their fun and experience in Sanford.Written 20 December 2020
- Jayboy40 contributionsExcellent stories, nice little townOur tour was on a Friday night. The walk was pretty easy, and on our version you climb a couple flights of stairs to the top floor of a busy restaurant (it’s hot up there!), but it was not too tough. The stories were fun and believable. Gary has gathered several stories from Sanford’s past, spooky and/or amusing, and was an engaging story teller. As advertised, we were not there to replicate some hokey faked ghost hunter show from Travel. We were shown the locations, explained some of the history, geography, and architecture, that frame the stories. Well worth the price of admission.Written 16 November 2020
- edixsn10 contributionsA total ripoffGirlfriend and I were excited about the prospect of learning more about Sanford's much talked about reputation for unusual paranormal activity, as well as said activity's historical significance. We never entered a single building during the entire 90 minute tour if not for the final ten minutes at Hollerbachs restaurant. Very rushed, amateurish, uninteresting, hot, muggy, and most importantly...not scary. Avoid. Try Ocala or St. Augustine.Written 30 August 2020
- Traveler02870 contributionsGreat ExperienceWe were glad we booked this tour! It was not only fun but we learned so much about the history of Sanford. It is a walking tour in Florida but definitely worth it.Written 13 August 2020
- dramirezrn0 contributionsGhost TourI booked a ghost tour with my son. We had such an amazing time. It was very easy to book through the website and we received clear instructions on where to meet and what to expect. The tour guide was amazing. We really enjoyed learning the history behind Sanford and the different haunted stories! Would definitely recommend!Written 11 August 2020

We arrived at the advertised location: 307 E. 2nd st. And no one was there.
I called a number I got from a previous reviewer, (407)710-5816 and got a nice girl, kahlani, on the phone who stated they had relocated to: 303 w. 3rd St. I was not informed of this ahead of time.
She said there was no parking at new location and we’d have to find one on street n walk to pick up the golf cart.
Once I told her I had a handicapped person with me, she was nice enough to bring the golf cart to us.
Also, I asked for a map of the golf cart route n she had none.
She offered an online one but my phone was low on charge! Should I had know this I would have printed one at home. It’s hard to zoom in n out in your phone when the cart is moving.
Aside from these inconveniences, we enjoyed the cart. We just went up n down the bricked streets n avoided the busy non bricked streets.
They later texted me with instructions to drop off the golf cart at the new location n put the keys in their drop box.

We rented a golf cart a couple of weeks ago. I booked it at 11am on a Sunday for a 1pm rental. My party went to Sanford for lunch (The Willow Tree - the best!), and when we were dining, we started to receive text after text about our tardiness for the rental, then demands about how we need to announce ourselves 10-15 minutes out via text. It made a great lunch feel like a lot of pressure.
So, I asked to cancel my reservation, assuming that I would lose a deposit, etc., not happy about it because the day was largely ruined from the incessant messaging, and was informed that I had to pay 100% for a rental I had made a couple hours prior.
As much as I think a golf cart rental would be an awesome way to get around downtown Sanford, I will never, ever willing subject myself to the terrible customer service I received, again.

Be careful with this place. Business is not where they say. Phone number disconnected. We were supposed to them 10 to 15 minutes before and the business was shut down. We waited for 25 minutes disconnected phone no one to calll so we left. They did show up after we left. Saw them show up while walking on the street.. use another company.

Unfortunately we got lost trying to find the shop but a quick call to Brenda helped us find our way. She was more than gracious and helpful. She allowed us to use the employee parking lot and then took us over in one car to pick up the one we were going to use. She went above and beyond and made our short stay so enjoyable! I would highly recommend this business! We will return :-)
