If I could give this review 100 stars I would From the moment we got there to the moment we left he just made the experience so worthwhile, We were aboard The Avalon, boat slides into the waters, pics on a private Island we named One tree Island. I highly recommend!!! Our ride got cut short because of severe weather and without skipping a beat he let us know they will absolutely refund any hours that were missed. Then took us to two different islands where we docked and looked for seashells. We even found a baby octopus! We saw lots of dolphins and Captain Ed got them to ride our wake. We ran into unfavorable weather and Captain Ed was enthusiastic and flexible while keeping us informed of all our options as the day progressed. He made sure we were taken care of at every stop and also gave us a very respectful amount of space to have to ourselves but honestly, we liked having him around the best! He gave stellar recommendations and led us to an unexpected and delicious lunch and he found us a spot to spend over 20 mins watching a group of active manatees. Absolutely ask for Captain Ed when you book your trip and definitely tip him handsomely because he deserves it!Written 20 August 2023

This was such a great experience. Capt. Mike was so nice and informative. He made sure we had all our questions answered and made sure we were comfortable. He gave us the option to spend time at different beaches/islands and for the duration that we chose. He was also very kind to my 2 boys. He also checked in with us the morning of our departure and made sure we knew where we were going.
The boat was beautiful and clean. You can tell it was very well taken care of. It had a large space for storage of our beach bag and shoes. It also had small ice chest available and filled with ice for us to use. We were also able to connect to the system and play our own music. It felt as if the boat was “ours for the day.”
Overall we were able to see the best and most beautiful spots including white sands and clear water. We shelled and floated in the beautiful warm waters of the gulf. We will most definitely do this again and recommend anyone who is wanting an amazing, private boating experience to book! We booked 4 hours and that was more than enough time to spend on the water/boat.

Three generations all had a perfect day of fun, sun and adventure (shade available if we were hot). Many many thanks to our Captain Will who was great. Captain Will was accommodating, helpful and knowledgeable while remaining in the background and letting our family lead the day while keeping us safe and comfortable. We loved the dolphin family who swam with our boat, we loved finding the starfish community and seeing how they lived. We saw beautiful sea birds and collected amazing shells, on very natural uninhabited beaches—not to mention the awesome slide. Even Grandpa used the slide to celebrate his 71st birthday. A perfect day—a big expense for our family vacation but well worth it. Loved it!

Captain Ed was absolutely amazing in every way! His knowledge of the area, the wildlife, the dolphins and the ability to maneuver the surrounding weather set the bar HIGH! Ed made sure our family day was full of incredible memories and moments we will never forget. These videos are a small taste of the adventures we shared on our Boat Day with Ed!
The boat was perfect and very comfortable. The owner made sure we had everything we needed for a day out with Ed! We are happy to recommend Ed and "A Boat Day" to anyone who would like to have a fabulous day on the water!
Ed's professionalism was greatly appreciated and we will make sure we book with Ed on the next outing in the Pinellas county area!

What a fabulous day! Captain Ed took my family and friends out on an amazing half day charter. Before setting off, he went over safety instructions and talked to us about what we would like to do during our time aboard. On our way to our first stop, we saw dolphins and Captain Ed did his best to try to engage them in play. The first island we visited was North Honeymoon island. It was beautiful and remote with so many amazing shells. We spent time walking around, gathering shells, enjoying the views and relaxing on the float he set up next to the boat. Captain Ed made sure getting on and off the boat in the water was safe for us which I appreciated as I was traveling with three children.
After we had our fill of shelling and roaming around, we pulled up the anchor and set out for some deeper water in order to use the slide. The kids had so much fun sliding from the top of the boat into the ocean!
Our next stop was Caldesi Island State Park which is accessible only by boat. The ride in was beautiful. This was a great stop for clean bathrooms, concessions, and some souvenir shopping. We wandered out to the beach and walked along the nature path.
Captain Ed was fun and informative. He took us to places we never would have thought to ask for and gave our family and unforgettable day. We would love to do this again in the future. Thank you!

We had the BEST day on our tour. Captain Ed took us to the best spots, taught us some fun facts about the area and wildlife, made sure we were all adequately hydrated with drinks, and made us all feel safe in a new city! 100% will be back and requesting Captain Ed

Thank you ABOATDAY and your staff for a lovely boating trip. Their staff was friendly, enthusiastic about their company, and wonderful to work with. Cassie in the office was fantastic, she was extremely helpful and accommodating when we needed to change our date. Captain Ed was AWESOME!! He was knowledgeable of the area, flexible in our activities, wrangled 7 women on a bachelorette trip, found us a tiny pod of dolphins with a baby! It was an absolutely incredible time to spend with the girls. If you’re looking to take a boat out definitely give them a call!

This was my favorite part of my bachelorette weekend! The weather was stormy in the morning so they worked with us to delay a few hours. Captain Ed was fantastic and brought us to a great spot for swimming, using the slide, and collecting sand dollars. He moved us to a different spot when a storm rolled in and we continued an afternoon of fun. Captain Ed has a great playlist and is happy to take group photos - which this bachelorette party really appreciated. I highly recommend this to anyone who’s looking for a few hours of fun!

This trip started off great and kept getting better and better! The boat was comfortable and the Captain was fantastic! He had dolphins chasing our wake, bought us to two different islands, and even gave us some bags for shelling. Add to that a water slide, good music, and friends and you’ve got yourself a perfect boat day!

We used A Boat A Day for my husband birthday celebration and we had the most AMAZING time. Captain Randy and Captain Ed provided such a wonderful experience and were able add to the experience of getting the dolphins to play with the boats. The boats are beautiful, comfortable and so much fun.

We had high hopes heading into this trip and Captain Ed exceeded all expectations. He was so knowledgeable, kind, accommodating, and immediately felt like family. He tailored the trip around our preferences and brought us to see dolphins, check out private islands, and gave our kids the most wonderful memories. If you’re thinking of booking this trip- do it! The boat was beautiful and we the BEST time with Captain Ed.
