About
Fly from Perth to Australia’s Southwest, with views of gorgeous beaches and country Australia. After the flight, a coastal drive to the ancient and spiritual tingle forests leads you to the Tree Top Walk, where you can walk among the giants in the treetops. The tour then extends to Denmark, a tranquil country town with stunning white beaches and turquoise waters. Here, you’ll also visit the gorgeous and unique “Elephant Rocks”, a collection of massive rocks littering a secluded beach.Take some time out to relax and enjoy a meal, before we drive you to Albany. Here, you’ll see a page from Australia’s history books at the Old Whaling Station; where a major industry thrived for many years. Afterwards, visit the awe inspiring ‘Gap’ and ‘Natural Bridge’ which tell a story thousands of years in the making. These epic geological structures stand at the border of land and sea, showing off the raw power of the Southern Ocean. From July to October, whales can be seen off the coast.

About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Roam2852200 contributionsExcellent tripExcellent trip with Alex the friendly and helpful pilot also very good ground guide Cas who has a lot of knowledge about the pinnacles. Would highly recommend as you can do 2 places in one day instead of 2 long day trips.Written 11 March 2025
- Laura W0 contributionsBreath taking, stunning views, amazing! My partner and I had a short amount of time and we wanted to make the most of it. The kookaburra Air tour to the three most amazing places was an amazing pick. Breath taking places from both the ground and the air. Our pilot Adam was not only our pilot but our tour guide and photographer all in one. He was relaxed, warm, knowledgeable and funny. We had lunch at the cafe/ info centre which was filling and quite delicious. We also met Cass who picked us up in a van to take us around The Pinnacles. She was incredible also! Kookaburra Air was easy to find, easy to contact and made our trip super incredible! My partner and I would highly recommend as well as be doing more tours in the future.Written 29 September 2024
- 300ellyh0 contributionsUnforgettable day outFabulous if long day out with Adam as our pilot. Highly recommended for kids - Adam couldn’t have been more engaging, explaining the plane, how to read the weather, really keeping them occupied. The Wave Rock to Pinnacles leg of the flight is really quite long in a small plane so you need some distraction! Wonderful to see wave rock in the relative solitude of the early morning, and the flight gave us the chance to see sights we would never have experienced if we’d had to drive. Probably not recommended for kids much under 8 due to the length of the flight and no toilet opportunity on the plane!Written 9 August 2024
- jessicasL8786CO0 contributionsAmazing, experience especially for an Anniversary!!!!Alex and Amit were fantastic. We were told lots of story’s and history about the Abrohlos Islands. The flight was great got to see all the coast line going north. We were amazed at how crystal clear and blue the water was at the island and we snorkeled for hours around the beautiful reef with lots of friendly fishes and managed to get great gopro footage because the visibility was great. We were given subway for lunch and were supplied so many great snacks and drinks so we didn’t go hungry or thirsty. I would definitely recommend this tour especially because it’s a quiet and peaceful spot and we celebrated our first wedding anniversary ☺️Written 16 March 2024
- snooks59700 contributionsTicked off the list. The lake is one of those attractions which you are led to believe is a must see. We are glad we saw it and have ticked it off our list but in all honestly found it a bit of a let down. There was only a little bit of water that was pink and not a vast lake of pink water which you see in the promotional photos. Is it a must to see?well that is up to you to decide but we wouldn’t go back for a second look and if you are pushed for time to spare there are other wonders to see.Written 21 January 2024
- andmerf0 contributionsMany thanks for our trip to Esperance! Many thanks Imit & Phil for the great flight today. We really appreciate you getting us home! It was great to feel in safe haves all the way and to see the country from a different perspective. Thank you so much for being willing and available to take us.Written 21 September 2023
- jackmA3797TF0 contributionsGreat one-day tour from PerthA well organised flight scenic tour, performed according to plan, with highly competent pilote and guides. A lot to see (and enjoy!) in one day!Written 7 March 2023
- dennistQ6252WI0 contributionsGeologist DreamOur pilot Elliott was great. We got terrific aerial views of Wave Rock and Pinnacles and toured them on the ground. We did in one day what would have taken 3 by car. Don't miss the Lobster Shack in Cervantes and the history that goes with that area. Our on the ground tour guides at the Pinnacles, Cass and Michael, were knowledgeable and enthusiastic. As a geologist this was a great way to see two exceptional geological features.Written 3 February 2023
- sonicheez0 contributionsKookaburra Air Lacks ProfessionalissmThe pilot (Charles) had his elderly aunty on the trip with us. The office staff reminded him to ask us if it was 'ok' for his aunty to join us. Only then did he ask. I was put in a position where I had to say yes. How would you feel having had to pay $1400/pp only to have the pilot have his family member along - for FREE? Lunch was NOT provided - although it clearly says on Tripadvisor and also on the booking confirmation. There was a cafe at Wave Rock, but since it was only 10.10am, we did not eat - as it was clearly advertised that 'a light lunch will be provided'. No lunch upon arrival at the Pinnacles nor did the ground tour staff suggest that we go to the cafe for lunch. Prior the day, we were NOT advised of the possibility of air sickness and to come prepared. The pilot was unable to fly at a higher altitude due to no clearance and had to fly low, and this resulted in a terrible 2 HOURS bumpy ride from Wave Rock to the Pinnacle. An experiences company should have the foresight to warn passengers. While the attractions are spectacular - it was let down by the the unprofessionalism and poor customer service from Kookaburra Air.Written 7 January 2023
- 619jeffry0 contributionsPink lagoon is fascinatingHutt Lagoon is a saltwater lake in the Kalbarri region in Western Australia, near the town of Northampton. Hutt Lagoon is separated from the Indian Ocean by a barrier of sand dunes. Hutt Lagoon is named after an English politician with a connnection to the Swan River Colony. Hutt Lagoon is a delicate pink colour, it is best seen from the air.Written 15 July 2022
- afj793a0 contributionsFly with Kookaburra to Wave RockThis is THE way to see Wave Rock and the Hippo’s Yawn! Our pilot Charles took us on this hour’s flight out to Wave Rock over wonderful landscapes and countryside. Then time to stroll to the two incredible rock formations - very different to anything we’d seen before. These were something we’d waited a long time for, and weren’t at all disappointed. They really made a great start to our WA holiday. Then time for a coffee and snack at the cafe, before returning to Jandakot. All this before lunch - so much easier than driving! Thoroughly recommended and we had consistently great communication and assistance from Kookaburra- a great group to deal with!Written 3 July 2022

Adam our pilot, driver & tour guide for the day ensured we saw all the South coast highlights in comfort & at our pace. If you are limited with time this is the way to go. It is a 12hour day but you’ll see everything - Tree top walk, Elephant rocks, Whaling Station, The Gap & Nature’s bridge
