- kkaynr0 contributionsGood experienceI had a good time and experience wi tbh Philip on this tour. I was travelling alone and made some friends along the way. We caught a beautiful glimpse of the Rockies, Georgetown, and Red Rocks. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to make it to Loveland Pass. The van was comfortable and light refreshments were provided. Appreciated Philip narrating some of the history behind some of the places we drove past.Written 26 January 2025
- Jane P0 contributionsAmazing experience with our tour!!We had a really great time today, our tour guide Laurel was very knowledgeable and friendly, she knows the best places in the area, we are happy with her service!Written 21 January 2025
- toddwX2794KN0 contributionsIncredible adventure!!Had an incredible adventure on this tour ( I call it an adventure because that's what it truly was!). I went into this with the expectations of just seeing some breathtaking sites, which we did, but our guide, Will, added so much more to the adventure with his information and insights of the entire area as well as his engaging, funny, and witty storytelling. It became not just a sightseeing tour, but an in-depth history of Denver and the surrounding area as well as all the places we stopped along the way. Yes, this is a long tour and takes the entire day, but for me, it was so worth it and an incredible value for what is in my opinion a very high-level tour. Two thumbs up!!!!Written 19 January 2025
- flipflopfool0 contributionsAmazing tourThe RMNP Winter/Spring tour truly surpassed all my expectations. The scenery was absolutely stunning, and Hans, our guide, was incredible. He was both entertaining and exceptionally knowledgeable, making the experience both fun and informative. I gained so much from the tour. He also ensured we were all comfortable with the altitude, which I appreciated. Overall, it was a fantastic day.Written 18 January 2025
- Rodfamilia0 contributionsAmazing sceneryThe Rocky Mountain winter tour was amazing. Our goal was to get the max snow experience since we live in the most southern part of Texas. Our trip was cut a little short by about 45 minutes, which we were told is not the norm, and the company gave us a small partial refund so that was greatly appreciated. Alex our tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. It was VERY cold so go prepared. I highly recommend if you don't have the vehicle to drive in mountain snow and if you want some history with the sightseeing.Written 8 January 2025
- S33k3r-220 contributionsColorado Sightseer is TOP NOTCH. RMNP Tour is Fantastic!!Flew into Denver on November 6th and endured the first big snow storm of 2024. Wasn't sure we were going to be able to move forward with the tour. Another company cancelled their tour, but Colorado Sightseer came through and went through with the tour. We left about an hour late, but it was WELL worth the wait. Our tour guide was top-notch, and the scenery was stunning. We even got surrounded by the massive herd of elk as they traveled their yearly route. Amazing trip, and the best part of my 48 hours in Denver.Written 6 January 2025
- propperk0 contributionsA beautiful half day in the moubtainsExcellent experience. Our guide, Phil, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, personable, and patient. - tatumrg0 contributionsfun locations!!!I loved this tour! I like that it was a half-day tour and we got to explore each area we stopped in. Our tour guide, Will, was very helpful in taking photos, offering advice, and helping us put the rubber snow cleats on our shoes (we’re not from a snowy area lol). I only wish we had a little more time to explore the town of Evergreen. It was a great tour for me and my boyfriend and I thought it to be reasonably priced. I’d never stood on a frozen lake before so that was awesome!Written 29 December 2024
- AdithiPandit0 contributionsFun, entertaining and scenic day tourThis was such a great tour to go on. The Rocky Mountain Park is stunning in winter, and quieter from a visitor perspective. The pacing is perfect - enough time to explore a number of spots, not too much driving time but also our guide Will was super funny, informative and entertaining. So drive time was a blast. Highly recommend.Written 14 December 2024
- Fearless403560557010 contributionsGreat tourI really loved the Rocky Mountains tour. This is the second tour I book with the Colorado Sightseer and it was again well organized and the tour guides are great. Alex was knowledgeable, fun and kind. The tour with Colorado sightseer is definitely a must! The tour was extremely well organized. We visited 6 sights and we never felt rushed as we had adequate time to visit each site. Our tour guide, Ben, also had backup plans due to weather as it rained a little so we had our lunch in a beautiful covered spot. Honestly I would have never known where to go if i hadn’t booked that tour. There are so much places to see and experience. The mountains and nature are gorgeous and Ben knew exactly where to go! He was very entertaining and kept us engaged with historic details about each area. We had so much fun at the Stanley hotel and its spooky historic feel! Lunch was simple but fresh and great from a local bakery at Lyons.
I would definitely do this trip again and strongly recommend it for anyone who is visiting Denver/Colorado for the first time!

Absolutely Fabulous day trip. Our guide Ben was a great host, ensuring everything was well explained throughout the trip. First was the stop in Lyons for brief comfort break and coffee at the Barking Dog cafe. We then headed thru Estes Park and into the National Park. Great views and enough stops for photo opportunities. Highest point in van @ 3,710m however when we stopped at the Alpine Lodge you must climb to the 3.658m view point to experience the altitude.
We then headed to Lake Irene where we had a lovely sandwich, wife chose Tuna, I had Turkey and we shared half each, accompanied with Boulder Kettle chips and a milk chocolate cookie. Walk to lake then back over the peaks towards Estes Park where we eventually found some Elk in the water where we were treated to a male warning off another male. Last stopn@ the Stanley Hotel before travelling back to Denver. Great group made the experience. Van had A/C and comfortable. Worth every penny/cent 👍

Thank you so much for your thorough review! The tip to climb up to the top of the alpine center is a great one--the views are incredible and you really feel the altitude. Glad you enjoyed your lunch at the lake. Sounds like an overall great day--thank you for spending it with us!

My wife and I did the tour with Cowboy Frank who provided us with continuous history, lore, and a few laughs. We saw 2 moose, a herd of elk, bighorn sheep, and marmots as well as some of the most breathtaking scenery of the Rockies at multiple overlook stops. We also stopped at the Stanley Hotel (from The Shining), the Continental Divide and the town of Estes Park. A packed lunch was provided (very good sandwiches) as Frank found an area by an alpine lake for a picnic between stops. We couldn't have accomplished all this in a day on our own. Frank even had a Colorado playlist (artists from CO or songs about CO) for the 90 minute trip back to Denver. All in all, well worth the experience for anyone coming to RMNP

We had the best time and would highly recommend! Myself and my mum June are from England and where travelling Colorado for a couple of days… this was the best way to see the place! We got such a warm welcome from our lovely tour guide Christin. We love that it’s a family ran business and felt Christin was really insightful and bubbly. We met a great group of people from all over the world and had a full day of seeing so many different parts of the Rockies. We loved seeing the wildlife and got some amazing photos. Thanks again Christin for a fab day and for playing John Denver - Rocky Mountain High for my mum!

You need to buy tickets 2-3,Months ahead . Can’t go in the park without reservation 9-2 pm . We did not have do we park the car and pay $15 at the gate and then hike free all over … but u need to be in good health bc u can hike 10 miles easily. After 2 pm is without reservations but the line of cars are probably 100 and waiting at least 1 hour in line . Park closing at 5 pm . Garden of Gods a must see . 1 hour drive from Denver and no reservation. Both places in the bucket list

I've been on two other Rockies tours over the years (once solo and once with my mom) and this one was my favorite. Will talked the entire way, he was well-informed and a great storyteller, there were so many stops and hikes. We were never rushed and he really listened to us. I really enjoyed spending the day in the Rockies. Even though I've been on a few tours, each one is different and like I said, this one had the most stops/hikes and beautiful scenery. Thanks Will!

I had a lovely day with Will our driver and entertainer! Will was very knowledgeable about the National Park, the wildlife and outdoor adventures. Our day began in Denver with dry weather, then in the park we drove up to rain, then up to snow and Will expertly navigated the vehicle. We had sandwiches, chips and a cookie for lunch. I took pictures of many elk, a coyote and a big horn sheep! We were a very lively and fun group of people. A very fun day overall.

One of the highlights of our 11 day travels. Skye was our driver/guide and we totally enjoyed listening to her and talking to her as we walked through the gourgous Rocky Mountain terrain. She was very informative and gave many details that we were not aware of. The day was beautiful - clear blue skies - so we saw many mountain peaks and we also saw several animals. Definitely recommend the tour.

WOWOWOWOW !!! I loved the amazing tour that we had with Colorado Site Seer! I went on their website and got a chance to see what options they all had and after a good amount of time, we decided on the day tour to Rocky Mountains. One of the main reasons that I went with this company was because many other tours use big buses and have 24-45 people on them. Christin promised us that the maximum they ever do is 12 people and that was a big selling point for us.
Great pre-tour communication. Easy pick-up spot. Christin took us right into the National Park without waiting in-line (huge benefit) and we got to see all the great spots. Tuna Sandwich was amazing! Best part was that we got to see over 100 Elks during the day, Christin kept joking around that all of them must have gotten the morning text message reminder from her that morning! A really great trip!

Cowboy Frank was great! He was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us plenty of time at each stop to see the sights. We had a cute picnic at the park with a great local sandwich, and he even made time to accommodate specific requests we had(such as seeing the lake). I was also thankful for Cowboy Frank taking some of my photos as I was a solo traveler. Colorado is beautiful, and I can’t wait to go back!

Hi , my wife and I are visiting Rocky Mountain national park end of May 2022. We do not have a car and so booked two guided tours: Rocky Mountain National Park in Summer Tour from Denver, Discover Rocky Mountain National Park from Denver or Boulder
Which tour between the two is better? It looks like the summer tour does not include any lakes ?

Written 7 July 2019
The roads are fairly narrow but if you do sit in the middle of the van you will be fine. The tour drivers drive the roads every day and are very careful. The traffic is slow because of the curves. Take a Dramamine or something for anxiety and sit where you can get the full effect. It is breathtaking. Enjoy!
