- Z2702VSbarbarab0 contributionsWe are the champions of the Napa Puzzling adventure. We had so much fun. Lots of laughter as we, the self-titled Napa Nomads, raced back and forth following the instructions to try to win. We did end up Number One of all the people who had done the adventure in the past. We had people ask us what we were doing and laugh with us. The city hall manager came out to help us find the plaque which was hidden under an overgrown plant. A policeman asked us what we were doing and took a picture with us. We laughed with him when he asked us if we wanted a picture in the back of his patrol car. So funny! We paused to get a beer and the bartender asked lots of questions because she wants to do it. Every time we got 200 more points we did a little woohoo and a dance. It was a delightful experience. The weather was perfect. If it had been too hot it might not have been as fun. We encourage all able bodied, riddle loving, clue figuring people to give it a go!Written 22 June 2024
- M7102TXdanc0 contributionsFun discovering the hidden art at UCSD!This was so cool. Got to see all kinds of interesting outdoor art around the beautiful university campus. Lots of surprising things to see and the interactive questions made it engaging for the whole family.Written 29 April 2024

- Tracy C0 contributionsConfusing and DisappointingTransparency: We stopped after 15 of 26 questions. Walking through Lancaster city the night before we did this activity, we were excited for the "Puzzling Adventure" to learn more about the beautiful and historic buildings and neighborhoods that we saw and "explore the city's gems." We participated in a self-guided walking tour in Bethlehem, PA and had a very positive experience, so we were looking forward to this. The tour started at a very unremarkable parking lot, and the directions to our first stop were unclear. As a result, the first three questions were a bit of a mess. Steinman Park was a gem, so we stuck with it. I would suggest starting at a clearly recognizable site (like the giant monument in the middle of the city) and leaving parking to individuals to figure out. Once we got our bearings the directions were pretty easy to follow, but they were out of date and took us through neighborhoods that were much like any other city. There were several times that the clues were inaccessible due to construction fences that were up around required stops. During the 15 stops that we made, we read many signs and plaques posted by historical societies, researched questions on Google and learned tidbits about individuals, but we learned very little about the city itself. Again, we did not complete the activity because it was frustrating and we lost interest, so there is a possibility that things improved a great deal during the last 11 questions.Written 26 July 2023
- rvacjfjl0 contributionsWrong startWe started in the wrong place because the instructions said to start at certain address but we were supposed to start at the parking lot. Maybe I read it wrong. So we answered the first few wrong, then we figured we started in the wrong place at a certain point from there we got the rest of the questions correctly. We had fun finding all the clues.Written 7 July 2023
- 100deannas0 contributionsVery fun and full of informationIf you are a history buff or even someone that likes to know unique facts and see different sites of the places they visit, you should definitely do this adventure. It's only a couple of hours at the most. We had a great time.Written 30 June 2023
- ET-PR0 contributionsRipoff! We were unable to contact the company to activate our scavenger hunt. The website listed was not working, the so-called support number was answered by a recording telling us to leave a message or send an email. We never received a callback and the email we sent came back as undeliverable. A total sham!Written 21 June 2023
- waynej20130 contributionsGreat way to get a taste of historical downtown KnoxvilleHad a real good time during the puzzling adventure in downtown Knoxville on Sunday. I learned a lot of new things about my community and got some exercise while doing it. The format and the questions well thought out. I look forward to going to other cities that offer puzzling adventures.Written 12 October 2022
- DePere0 contributionsFun Activity for Individuals of All AgesWe were searching for an activity in the Green Bay area and did a Google search for events in Green Bay on August 7th. (I only mention this since there is not much publicity about this activity and it could be hard to find information about it.) . The event was listed as “One Team Scavenger Hunt” but the registration form indicated it was operated by Puzzling Adventure. Registration on-line was easy, and there is no specific start time for the event. For that matter if it raining the date you select; you can use the voucher on a different date. You do need a smart phone or a device to access the Internet while in downtown Green Bay as your clues will be delivered over the website. Your beginning point is 202 Cherry Street. You will need to seek out the answers to 21 questions –The questions are delivered to your phone one at a time. If you are observant most of the answers are in plain sight (If you know where to look). You earn 300 points if you answer the question correctly on the first attempt, 200 points on the second attempt and 100 point on the third attempt. We opted to enjoy the experience and took our time throughout the entire event vrs attempting to earn the fastest time. It took us 55 minutes to complete the adventure. You probably walk a distance of between 15 and 22 blocks during your quest. If you are not familiar with downtown Green Bay a small street map of the area would be helpful but not necessary. I have relatives living in Madison and enjoyed this activity so much that I will participate in the event in Madison in the near future.Written 9 August 2021
- 354zaky0 contributionsLoved this activity!Just did this Puzzling Adventures with my family. So much fun! Took us all over downtown and we really got into the competitive side of it so much that we kind of forgot to enjoy the sights. We did get first place though!Written 5 May 2021
- honorah20170 contributionsAVOID THIS IN ATLANTADO NOT BUY THIS in Atlanta. The tour began near underground/ Five Points and I was taking a group of 10 year old girls on this adventure for a birthday party. I expected some homeless, but this was INSANE. In 2 blocks (the 1st two clues), we were accosted by a man on a bike, another man pulled at his genitals masturbating while looking at the girls, there was a group of about 8 men and a woman high on drugs dancing to amplified music, and at the site of the first clue, a man with a needle in his arm lying on the statue (where the clue was). We were screamed at by a woman wanting money, and then, a clearly deranged & mentally ill person, stripped down naked (fully naked) and was wandering in the streets asking (screaming) at us and everyone for food money. This person clearly needed help. The girls started to cry. This was within a 2 block radius at 3 in the afternoon. We went home. This tour could be so good, if it were in another part of town (or if there were more homeless services and less aggressive people), but this 'Atlanta Adventure' did not calculate this area, or the risk, well at all. They SHOULD give you the start address and general area BEFORE you buy. I would not have bought this had I known the immediate area or route. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. While we used common caution and were aware of our surroundings, this tour was a disaster. I like the concept, but this needs to have some neighborhood safety ratings. AVOID ATLANTA's PUZZLING ADVENTURES. I hope this company updates this to another neighborhood in the city. There are a lot of great walks, but this was terrible. 2 clues. 2 blocks. Not worth it.Written 19 October 2020
- Michael M0 contributionsGreat way to explore CharlestonOr family had a blast roaming through Charleston searching for the answers to all the questions. We found the information provided by the sure to be entertaining and informative. There were a couple of times we had to stop and figure out which way we were supposed to go next, but only one that I thought really needed to be explained better. Overall, this is a pretty good introduction to Charleston. If you're wanting detailed information on all the different buildings you're passing, you will want something different. But for an overview and a good tour of the area, this is an entertaining experience. Takes a couple of hours, less if you really hustle, more if you stop and look at all the sights.Written 5 November 2019
