      Terrible Company
Had tour booked for March, cancelled due to Covid. Despite many calls and emails, they have ignored all my attempts to get my money back. DON"T BOOK WITH THEM.

      Blown away by this tour
We got lucky - turned up on the off chance we could take the 10:00 tour. There was no one else booked in but they welcomed us, were super friendly and took me and my 80 year old dad for two hours in and around LA. So much information delivered in a witty and accessible way. Saw things we would never see without a guide. Great to have the earphones- could hear every word. Loved, loved, loved this. My dad initially wasn’t super keen on the idea but cannot stop raving. There were loads of stars and history he recognised. It’s not just for the young. They dropped us right back to our hotel after some great lunch and martini recommendations. Steven seems to know everything about this town and Danny was a brilliant driver. Cannot recommend more highly

      Disappointed
I feel like I payed a lot to see gates of celebrities, I believe that this was because of the academy awards and I should have been told in advance that I would not see rodeo drive or the sunset strip due to roads being closed. We did not stop for pictures at all. That being said I think out driver tried to do what he could. But I pay $170. For 4 of us and $10. To park and each of us gave the recommended $10 dollars a person tip to our driver so I payed $220. To see gates and the valley. Just disappointed I was expecting more and thought there would be photo opps

Well Done - We had a blast!!
We spent an enjoyable and funny 2 hours with Douglas - DR on the Hollywood Celebrity Homes Tour What a great way to get a quick snapshot of Hollywood - the stars and their homes and environ. Our guide DR catered for all nationalities and age groups on the bus and gave us the "scoop" as well as a great laugh!! Thank you and well done!

      Richard was awesome!
Great tour and well worth the money. This is a great “101” tour of the Hollywood landscape. You see all the big sights and celebrity homes alike. Richard was the added bonus!

      Good fun!
My husband and I really enjoyed this tour. As a few people have said before you don’t really get to see any homes or any celebrities, just big gates and hedges, but actually it’s still good to be taken around the areas and listen to the quirky stories your guide tells you. You also get to see some of the sights like Mulholland Drive, Beverley Hills, Rodeo Drive and the Hollywood sigh (although the latter was a bit disappointing as you can’t really get close enough - you need a good zoom camera). It’s an enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours and see the sights. So we would definitely recommend.

Great driver/guide - the vehicle a bit worn
We had a great trip in and around Hollywood. We got some very good photos of the Hollywood sign and saw a lot of celebrity homes. The guide was very friendly and told a lot of stories. The vehicle seemed a bit worn but not unsafe.

      Fun Two Hour Tour
It was a girls trip with my visiting Mom and Sister. We had such a good time! Our tour guide, Ryan, was very knowledgeable and hysterical. He really made the tour for us. Two hours was just perfect and the price was reasonable. We highly recommend this tour

Lots of gates, but if you do this make sure you use Ultimate Hollywood Tours
My husband and I did this tour on our visit visit to LA, it was great. I had no expectations of seeing celebrities and understood they would have gates to hide privacy. So when we went back with my sister a few years later I made sure to use ultimate Hollywood tours. I’ve been meaning to write this review for months so the gentleman’s name escapes me but he was great, he interacted with the group and got to know if there was any celebs people were really interested in. It’s also a great Hollywood history and site seeing tour. Both times we have done the tour where it falls into night time at the end and I love it. It gets chilly but they have blankets don’t worry. We were staying in Hollywood this time so could walk to the office but even if you weren’t within walking distance there is ample parking and it’s very easy to get to the office which is the pick up point. Remember those of you not from the US it’s customary, nice and well deserved in ultimate Hollywood tours case to tip your guide.

Very knowledgeable and funny tour guide. Chelsee was very entertaining and we were glad we had her around. Knew some fun facts, some factual facts and some stuff about the Celebrities we might encounter and how they normally behave about tour people. She really drove well, there were no sudden traffic or driving related abrupt movements. We had some haze, but that's a seasonal thing and none of the fault of the guide or the company. Getting to the spot was a little further down Hollywood avenue where the area starts looking sketchy but don't be fooled, it's a good value. The vans were relatively new, clean and had good view points and the location was easy to find once you were nearby. There's also a souvenir shop at the desk. Check-in was a breeze, just say your name and they verified. I accidentally booked it for a day before, they called me when I was "late" but with calling their booking company, they let me move it to the next day at no extra charge. You can tell, they seem to be a "newer" company, but they're really trying to give you value, quality and a good time. I've done the 2 hour tour, do it. There's even a little break in between for bathroom and walking a little around.

    We really enjoyed this tour.

Our driver and tour guide Phil was very knowledgable and you could tell he took a lot of pride in his job.

We saw the Hollywood sign, we travelled through Beverly Hills and we saw several celebrity homes but in general it was just nice to drive through LA and see the city.

My only advice to others would be to definitely try and get to the bus early and try and get seats at the front of the bus, really makes a difference in terms of view.

Perfect way to end our LA trip, would have been great to start with as well. Our tour guide (I believe was James) was a highlight of this tour. He was extremely knowledgeable and funny which kept us all entertained during the tour. His driving was great and stopped long enough to let us take pictures of anything we wanted to. He had loads of information of all of the celebrity homes and filming locations. Would do it again if we ever came back to LA.

Erm. I'm really not sure about this one? It's billed as an 'ultimate' trip around the area visiting famous movie and television locations and seeing the star homes of Michael Jackson, Al Pacino, Johnny Depp, Halle Berry, Dr. Phil, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Will Ferrell to name a few. In reality, it's nothing of the sort?

I think we saw a gate that once had Michael Jackson living somewhere behind it and a glimpse of a house on a distant hill that "might" have once belonged to Vin Diesel? Genuinely that was it. The absolute stars of the 'tour' was a car that our driver told us had been abandoned by the road nearly a month before although he didn't know whose it was or why it was there and a dog park where we might see (surprise) some dogs! There weren't any on the day we drove past sadly but it's OK because I have seen dogs before.

So this was so bad it was actually quite good? The guy knew virtually nothing and we drove aimlessly around parts of LA listening to him talk randomly about things that might, or might not, be true but weren't particularly interesting either way. As a visual drive round LA it was OK in that you did get some idea of where stuff was and the bus was alright and we didn't crash but the whole idea was completely lost on me. Maybe I'm just not the celebrity hunting type or maybe this tour is overstating what it offers? I'm minded to think it's the latter. Expensive for what it was, this would cost less if you just asked a cab to drive you around for an hour? It's not something I'd recommend.

I don't normally leave bad reviews but I booked this based on the good reviews and I don't want anyone else to make the same mistake.

    - Firstly the bus was not an open bus with a high roof as in the picture. It was a normal minibus with the windows lowered. This meant that there was a low ceiling and wide window posts which blocked the views, meaning you could hardly see any of the houses or sights the guide was pointing out. Everybody on the tour stopped trying to take pictures after the first 20 minutes as they all just gave up.

    - Secondly the guide was not great. From the beginning he didn't even introduce himself or introduce the tour, he just pointed at all of us, asked where we were from, then got in the bus and started driving, leaving us all looking at each other as if to say 'What's happening?' I've had great tour guides in the past who have been funny, entertaining and engaging and he was none of these things. He sounded completely bored and recited which celebrities lived in which houses like he was reciting a shopping list. He didn't seem like a bad person in any way but I have no idea why he decided to do this for a job as he didn't seem to have any passion or interest in what he was talking about. It seemed like most people on the tour zoned out for most of it and were relieved for it to end.

I think we were unlucky as we did see another bus from the same company which was open at the sides with a raised roof (as advertised) and it overtook us on the route a few times and we could hear the guide being funny and engaging, and the passengers seemed to be having a great time so it was a real shame that wasn't the experience for us.

Sorry guys just giving an honest review and a warning to people looking to go on one of these. If you rented a car while travelling to Hollywood your time is much better spent just driving to the Beverly Hills sign and stopping at a few lookout points yourself + go for your own ride into the Hollywood hills. The drivers have no clue who live in any houses anymore, the tour is more about who used to live in some of the homes. My wife and I were crammed in this jam packed bus and couldn’t even sit beside one another, it was just a complete waste of money in our eyes. Not even a drive by the famous playboy mansion, very underwhelming tour. Save your $$ in my opinion

Dear Steveaddy01, Thanks for taking the time to write about your tour. We are disheartened to hear we didn't meet your expectations. Hollywood has undergone some huge changes in during the pandemic. It's true, many celebs have left LA, so there will be a fair amount of what "used to be" - but then again, Hollywood is a place with a rich history most find interesting. The Playboy Mansion is tricky in several ways. To your point, the Playboy Mansion isn't even the Playboy Mansion any more. It was sold years ago to Daren Metropoulos, the owner of Hostess brands. Also, depending on the guests, if families with teens or young children are on the tour, guides will sometimes gear the tour to locations and celebs their generation can relate to, not to mention avoiding unwanted questions from the children about it. While our tour guides are some of the most well informed and experienced in Hollywood, if you don't feel your tour was entertaining, we would happily set you up on another tour with a different tour guide or provide a refund. And of course, we will accommodate you and your wife so you can sit together. When we are busy, that does unfortunately happen sometimes. Kind Regards, UHT Guest Relations

Not worth the money. You pass houses fast and mostly you don’t see more than a fence or a gate. Information by the guide are rarely more than „This is the house of x“. If you have a rental car better google the houses and go on you own. We did that afterwards with the houses that were interesting to us. We did a celebrity house tour on a boat in Miami some years ago, that was cheaper, we could see the houses really good and we could do much better pictures. Sorry, but if I compare it, I regret that I have spent money for the tour in L.A.

I was on a work trip and brought my mam she had never been to Los Angeles and I wanted her to see Hollywood. We did the 2 hour tour which I thought was great our tour guide was full of knowledge and very friendly all the guys were who work here. There’s a lot of great photo ops on this tour and some really beautiful views of Los Angeles. You can have snacks and stuff in the van and the tour covers a lot of places everything and more we weren’t expecting to see so I was very happy with that. The tour is a great price and I would recommend to those who are trying to see multiple destinations in one day.

Sat in the row next to the back and had a problem hearing the tour guide over the vehicle and traffic noise. Ask the guide to turn up the sound, but it didn’t help much. Switched seats with the people seated behind us because they were tired of banging their heads on the cross bar in the ceiling and the speakers were in the back. Didn’t help much because the speakers were mounted low behind cloth seats. When the guide spoke to the people in front of us, he had to call them twice before they noticed him. When I mentioned to the guide that we could not hear, he said he had turned the speakers up. Liked the guys running this tour, but they have done work to do. Add speakers at the middle seats and hire guides that know how to project their voices. This guide had supposedly worked as a guide at one of the large movie studios, but I think I know why he doesn’t any more. Had a very muffled voice and mumbled a lot.

The tour is mostly about Hollywood and Beverly Hills stars. The tour guide talked quite a bit about every home and it’s owners. The ride was beautiful on a beautiful day and Laurel Canyon was gorgeous. There was a little stop at Rodeo drive only few minutes and nice drive through Sunset blvd where you can see some of the famous iconic places
That is what this particular tour was all about. If you do not care about the rich and famous and all their glorious homes, don’t waste your money, get a stars map of Hollywood in Hollywood blvd and if you have a car and GPS go discover yourself

If you are just visiting maybe from outside California and want to have a leisurely and beautiful ride for a couple of hours and if you have very limited time this maybe a good ride

This company is also new so not too much hassling, which I liked

Make sure you tip your driver
