- LachlanPG0 contributionsA must-do in Downtown LAWe had an incredible time on this tour! Phil was an amazing, friendly guide who told us so many things we wouldn’t have known about Downtown LA without an expert and was able to answer all of our questions. Definitely recommend!Written 8 January 2025
- sujeetc20200 contributionsChinatown Central PlazaFun stores where you can pick up jewellery, decorative pieces, books etc. There's a place where Rush Hour was shot. If you’re driving, you can pick up plants too.Written 28 December 2024
- Nate0804110 contributionsInsightful and fun way to spend an afternoonThe walking tour with Phil was great. He was such a pleasant and knowledgeable guide. Taking 2 hours to learn more about downtown LA and how the city grew was very fascinating. He was able to answer all of our questions and had a great delivery. I don’t think people think about downtown LA that much compared to the Hollywood side of the city, but it is well worth the time. You will see some cool little spots and get a few steps along the way. The tour pick up and drop off are very close to each other making your logistics easy. I would highly recommend the tour and anything that Phil is guiding.Written 27 November 2024
- dianajP6187OG0 contributionsGreat experienceA very informative and enjoyable tour with our guide, Phil! He was incredibly patient and took the time to show us many aspects of downtown LA, sharing fascinating details along the way. His knowledge and enthusiasm made the experience truly memorable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting DTLA!Written 17 November 2024

- DougJ250 contributionsMust-do Tour in DTLAOutstanding experience with our leader, Phil! I live in New York but used to live in LA, 25 years ago. Back then, you didn’t really visit downtown LA, so imagine my surprise to take an amazing walking tour during a recent visit. The tour is about 2 hours in duration and you meet the guide at the bottom of Angel’s Flight on Hill Street. Try to return to it at the end of the tour (you’ll be two blocks south at Pershing Square) for a ride up the hill. Highlights of the tour include touring inside the Bradbury Building (an historic office building), Grand Central food market and the tour guide’s history lessons. The Bradbury Building, 304 S Broadway, is a charming office building with a 5-story atrium, amazing wood work / iron works and an old elevator run by a building employee with old/time gates / doors. It is non descrip on the outside, due to different architects designing the inside. At the end of the tour, you’re in Pershing Square (largely under construction when I visited in October 2024) but close to the historic Biltmore Hotel (now the Millennium Biltmore Hotel Los Angeles). The tour guide said due to the group size, he isn’t allowed to take the tour inside, but he encouraged us to visit. It’s a must-see, for the entry, lobby, lobby bar. Gorgeous old-time photos in the main second floor hallway, too. The cost of the tour at $38 is a good value, and you book directly via TripAdvisor. Highly recommend this tour.Written 13 October 2024

- Helen G0 contributionsMust Do in Los AngelesFirst, Phil is the man with the facts. Great tour for Old Los Angeles, get there early and do Angels Flight and give yourself 10-30 minutes to see Bunker Hill and surrounding before descending to Hill St. Don't forget your LA LA Land spirit for that one minute. Enjoy!!Written 30 July 2024
- 491michaelab0 contributionsExcellent tourPhil was a great tour guide. We learned so much about the area. He took the time to answer our questions, and if he didn’t know the answer, he was honest. Money well spent!Written 8 July 2024

We planned a day trip to LA via the Metrolink train. The day before the tour, a text was sent out with location, guides name and number. Great communication! Finding the meet spot and guide (Neel) was super easy. Neel was full of energy, sharing many fun details about buildings, sites, and streets we were walking through and by. He would show us film shots or clips of the locations we stopped to view. Although there were many movies I had not seen, it was still fun to see how they were used. He is very knowledgeable about the film industry's use of LA streets and buildings. It is very evident that he enjoys leading the tours, being very personable with each person within the group. Our group was about 10, so by the end of the tour, each person had a chance to talk to him or ask any questions one-on-one. During the tour, he pointed out many locations that would fun to go back and visit when you have more time to enjoy (including many local food/drink spots). I already have a list started for my next downtown trip. The 2-hour tour was a perfect amount of time to get a good taste of an interesting part of downtown. I am ready for another of their tours.

This was a great walking tour which shows the different movie locations around downtown LA. The guide was great. She was like a library of information. Importantly she was very down to earth and friendly.

What time does the tour begin at the starting point at 307 S Broadway? My wife and I are looking at April 25 or April 30, which are the dates that are available on your website calendar as of today in February. The tour sounds very worthwhile. -Thanks
